Chapter 88 - Chapter 87

[Timeless

Class: Skill

Description: Before an enemy, you were completely powerless. The only solution was to alter the timeline to ensure they never existed. But just as you once felt that way, others could feel the same toward you. This skill prevents them from using that same method against you.

Effect: You are your own fixed point in time. Any attempt to alter the past will not affect you. You have absolute immunity to temporal changes.]

[Weak Point

Class: Skill

Description: You destroyed your enemy by striking their weak point. Do it again, but easier.

Effect: Allows you to effectively locate your enemy's weak points.

Note: Weak points depend on both your skill and level as well as the enemy's.]

[Anti-Absolutes

Class: Territory Trait

Description: When your power is too high, the HP of a building doesn't matter. You can destroy it with a single attack. Prevent that from happening in your territory.

Effect: Negates critical destruction of buildings within your territory, including ultimate skills, special tools, and higher power levels.

Note: This prevents them from being destroyed with a single attack. If the enemy can repeat the attack, the trait becomes useless.]

After carefully reading the descriptions of the new rewards obtained from the main mission, Kaito moved on to what interested him most, the optional mission rewards.

[You obtained the Carnitrix, reward:

Resurrection Opportunity x5

Skill: Omnipotence]

[Omnipotence

Class: Skill

Description: Before omnipotence, you are nothing. Before omnipotence, they are nothing.

Effect: Once activated, you become completely omnipotent within a 1000m x 1000m area. The area cannot be moved.

Note: The skill lasts only 30 seconds and has a one-month cooldown.]

The resurrection opportunities didn't need much explanation. Their description was exactly what it sounded like. However, true to the system's habit of forcing thematic connections, the text mentioned how the Carnitrix, aside from taking lives, had also ruined them. Therefore, as a reward for giving those lives another chance by eliminating that threat before it ever existed, Kaito received "other lives."

On the other hand, the skill Omnipotence was completely incredible. It was definitely the first ultimate skill and trump card Kaito had ever obtained.

Basically, it granted him absolute dominance where he was invincible for 30 seconds. Even though the duration was short and the cooldown lasted a month, it was still an extraordinary skill.

Moreover, thanks to this, Kaito began to understand how the rewards worked. On one hand, he received an item or artifact based on the story of that universe's Omnitrix, and on the other, a skill inspired by an important alien or one that had greatly influenced the user.

Thinking about the enormous number of Omnitrixes he had gathered, Kaito smiled as he continued reading the remaining rewards.

Ultimatrix

[Ultimate

---

Kaito read the descriptions again and again, satisfied with the massive haul. Of course, the specific details of each made them a bit more complex to remember. For example, the Fusion skill required gold, Upgrade had many conditions regarding the enhanced weapon, and Strikeback only worked with a specific type of energy. But even with those limitations, it was impossible to deny that having just one or two of these abilities already made him completely broken.

Once all the rewards were delivered, the Omnitrixes disappeared from his inventory.

However, as he reviewed everything, Kaito noticed something strange.

"System, what happened to Ben Prime's Omnitrix?" he asked, frowning.

[The Omnitrix from the Prime universe is not among the devices in your inventory.]

"What are you talking about? I clearly took it."

[Affirmative.]

"So it's gone?"

[Correct.]

Kaito stopped arguing and thought calmly.

"Did someone steal the Omnitrix?" he finally asked, somewhat incredulous.

[Correct.]

That confirmation was enough. It didn't solve the problem, but it gave him an important clue.

"The Omnitrix was inside my inventory. If it was stolen, does that mean someone hacked you again? Shouldn't I at least get compensation?" he said, annoyed.

[Negative. The theft was carried out using a system-recognized skill, therefore it is not considered cheating.]

Kaito went silent. He was surprised that someone had such a skill, but even more so that they had managed to get close without him noticing. It was impossible for there to exist a skill capable of stealing from inventories without direct contact, so he deduced that at some point, someone must have been nearby.

After analyzing the situation, he managed to piece things together.

First, the thief had to be a Lord, since they used a special skill. That reminded him that other universes must also have their own Lords. It was impossible that he was the only one sent to the Carnitrix universe, so the thief had to come from another one.

There were two possibilities, the universe where the Ben War occurred or the Prime universe. Kaito leaned toward the latter.

The reason was simple. The Incursion invasion in that universe happened later than it should have according to canon, and everyone knows nothing disrupts canon more than the butterfly effect caused by transmigrators. Moreover, if someone possessed such a powerful skill, their level had to be high, so they wouldn't fit into lower-risk universes like the one with Ben without the watch.

Being sent to the Prime universe seemed far more fitting for the mysterious thief's level.
