Seraphina's POV
The walls of my room felt like they were closing in on me. I sat on the edge of my bed, staring blankly at the floor as my mind replayed the devastating revelations from earlier.
My father was alive.
The triplets had hidden the forged letters.
Everything I thought I knew was a lie.
A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts. Lyra and Elina had left to fetch me tea, so I assumed they'd returned.
"Come in," I called, my voice surprisingly steady despite the storm inside me.
The door opened, but instead of my maids, Lord Caspian stepped inside. My entire body tensed.
"Leave us," he ordered, dismissing the guards stationed outside my door.
I stood up immediately, wrapping my arms around myself protectively. "Get out."
His lips curved into a smile that sent a chill down my spine. "Aren't you curious why I'm here, Seraphina?"
"I don't care," I snapped. "I've heard enough of your lies."
