Chapter 17 - Morning Afterglow

The curtains danced gently in the breeze, soft morning sunlight pouring into the spacious penthouse bedroom. The navy sheets were tangled at the foot of the bed, discarded clothes scattered like memories across the floor.

Trisha stirred first, her arm resting lazily across Reeva's bare waist, her fingers lightly brushing the smooth skin there. Reeva was tucked into her side, breathing steady, head resting against Trisha's shoulder.

Trisha smirked to herself. Last night had been… intense. Hot. Absolutely unforgettable.

She shifted slightly, pressing a feather-light kiss to Reeva's forehead. "You alive, Khanna?" she murmured, voice husky from sleep and satisfaction.

Reeva groaned softly, eyes still shut. "Barely. My legs hate you."

Trisha chuckled. "Funny, they didn't sound like they hated me when you were moaning my name."

Reeva opened one eye, sleep-heavy and glowing. "Don't get cocky, Singhania."

"Oh no, baby," Trisha grinned wickedly. "Too late for that. Especially after you begged."

Reeva lifted her head, eyes narrowing in mock warning. "I did not beg."

Trisha turned onto her side, eyes gleaming. "Really? Should I remind you what you said? 'Please don't stop, Trix… please…'" she mimicked in a breathy whisper, leaning in close.

Reeva flushed, rolling her eyes, but couldn't suppress the grin creeping onto her lips. "You're evil."

"I'm a giver," Trisha whispered against her jaw, brushing her lips there. "You were very, very appreciative."

Reeva swatted her playfully, biting her lower lip. "Okay fine. It was… insane. And kind of amazing."

"Kind of?" Trisha raised an eyebrow, feigning offense.

Reeva leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose. "Definitely amazing. You happy now, Ms. Ego?"

Trisha smirked and pulled her closer. "Ecstatic, Ms. Whispers-My-Name."

They lay there for a beat — skin to skin, no rush, no pressure. Just warmth.

Reeva nestled her face into Trisha's neck. "So… what now?"

Trisha traced slow circles on Reeva's back. "Now we shower, eat breakfast, visit our restaurant site. And maybe tonight…" she paused, letting her voice drop, "…if you ask nicely again—"

Reeva groaned. "You're the worst."

"And still the best you've ever had."

Reeva didn't deny it.
