In the vast darkness, Capella found herself laying down on her back.
Not the kind that exists when you close your eyes, but a denser, more primal nothingness—thick and alive, pressing against her skin like invisible fog. It was the same darkness she had been absorbed in during the process of her reincarnation.
Capella opened her eyes into it and found no relief. No shape. No sound. Not even the rhythm of her breath.
Only herself.
And the faint impression that she did not belong in this place. It was the type of feeling you would get if you wandered inside somebody else's property.
She took a step, barefoot against a ground that neither echoed nor yielded. Every step she took with her naked feet made puddles of shadow ripple into the distance.
The silence moved with her, as if the void inhaled her presence and very soul. Each step felt heavier in an awareness—like the air had begun remembering her shape.
She began looking all around for anything is this place other than her, and her gaze became attracted to a certain spot in the space.
A three-inch tree sprout stood in the far distance—or perhaps it had always been near. Its small bark was dyed a deep crimson color, almost the same as blood. No leafs grew from the miniature plant and it seemed like it was on the verge of dying.
'Granted Death when your Life just started. How pitiful.' For some odd and unknown reason, Capella had felt an instinctive connection with the tree sprout. Hoping that in some way, it might survive in this dark dimension.
After viewing it for a little more than a minute, a small pressure began to rapidly spread in the back of her skull. The pain blossomed into an intense migraine that affected all the areas of her head, and a silent scream was unleashed from the torment.
"—nnnGH!"
She fell to her knees, clutching her head as a thousand whispers in forgotten tongues assaulted her. They weren't words—more like urges, emotions stripped of flesh—lust, shame, envy, desire. Her vision buckled and warped, and this false, dreaming reality -shattered like glass struck by bullets.
A flash of light was the first thing Capella saw that overwhelmed her other senses again.
She awoke with a gasp, lungs struggling as if she'd nearly drowned. Small beads of sweat were trickled on the top of her forehead.
Her vision cleared in fragments - lightning streaking across the vast and dark sky illuminating an unknown room with both familiar and unfamiliar faces.
But upon the people in the room, Capella saw her mother, father, and maidservant in the midst. She inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Capella!" Lara in her white robes, picked Capella off of her Nursing bed and tightly gripped her, almost taking away her breath.
"My sweet daughter, I was so scared God had called you home and taken you away from us. Bless the Omnipotent and Omniscient God, The Lord that created Everything!"
She began to cry in Capella's embrace.
Still a little disoriented, Capella felt she got the entire gist of the situation and felt a tinge of guilt for making her mother worry like this.
'So a child's body couldn't handle the awakening of the lust authority without some backlash. It makes sense, but what was that dark place I was just in?'
She didn't dare voice her inquiry out loud in fear of the unknown consequences she would face under the knowledge of her being a reincarnator from another planet.
Gareth's brows were furrowed, a deep concern poorly masked behind a stoic gaze. Mila stood just behind him, biting her lip, clutching a basin of...mushrooms?
Seeing that Capella was alright though, their faces visibly brightened. One of the three unfamiliar faces on the other hand, stepped forward and began to speak.
He was a tall, muscular elder with pale/light blue eyes and messy white hair. He has twisted and hideous old scars, as well as deep wrinkles on his face. His attire consisted of that of a flaxen-colored shirt (linen shirt), a brown coat, and a leather belt with secret compartments around his waist.
This dignified man was Collin Lliad. Chief of the City of Silver's six-member council, and the Captain of the exploration teams.
"It's nice to finally meet you Capella, I've heard excellent things about you from your father. My name is Collin Lliad, but you may call me uncle Collin." He said extending his hand in a soft mannered way.
Gareth, in the background blushed slightly and let out a slight cough.
'Father talks about him all of the time saying he is the strongest man in the world, and the person he most admires. But I have also overheard father tell mother that he locked up his own older brother in an inescapable prison after he went psycho.'
Because of her prior knowledge of the man, the only thing that could come to her mind when seeing him was 'scary'.
She slowly put her hand in the palm of his and shook it. While holding her hand Colin eyes began to emit a faint silver light and Capella felt a bit of dizziness that only lasted for a second.
He then turned around and told the two unfamiliar faces "She's good, no signs of corruption or possession from a demonic spirit."
Everybody in the room breathed a sigh of relief.
'Huh?'
'They thought I was possessed... by a demonic spirit! That can happen? Wait, what would have happened if I was. Would I end up like Colin's younger brother?'
Capella once again criticized the fact she was sent to this hell of a world.
After Colin finished speaking with unfamiliar faces in private, another one stepped forward to her. This time, it was a woman. An incredibly gorgeous one at that!
Even though Lara was beautiful, this was Capella's mother so she felt no physical attraction to her, also, she wasn't sure if by being in this body her sexual orientation would change.
But it did not, because at the sight of this woman, Capella had wanted to somehow make her the mother of her children.
Her face was smooth and fair, her appearance gorgeous. She looked to be in her early thirties, and her pair of light gray eyes seemed to be able to pierce through one's soul. Her silvery-gray hair was thick but curled up slightly. She wore a long black robe embroidered with mysterious purple patterns.
This woman was the right hand of Collin Lliad, and the assistant chief of the Six-member council. Her name was Madame Lovia Tiffany.
The woman than looked at Mila, and the maidservant immediately reached into the basin and handed her one of the mushrooms. Madame Lovia then lit it on fire without using a lighter, and an alluring aroma began spreading towards Capella from the burning mushroom.
Her tense body relaxed and she became visibly comfortable with her relaxing all of the muscles in her body.
As she silently gazed into the lustful eyes of Capella, she asked one question. "What was the cause for your collapsing." Her voice felt even more relaxing than the effects of the mushroom, compelling Capella to say every single ounce of truth inside of her.
But for some reason, she could still have rational thoughts and sprout lies. The feeling just reminded her of when she was in the vast darkness for the first time. A little hazy and enticing, but still manageable.
She felt it appropriate to come up with a reasonable lie and not just say 'I don't know' to her question. Taking in all of the references her parents had made to God and the notion of herself being under the control of evil spirits, she thought this city to be a fairly religious one.
Capella then began to piece together enough information for a false truth. So she channeled her inner internet troll and came up with a fantastic lie.
She faked a fatigued and muddled behavior as she answered "The Omnipotent and Omniscient God, The Lord that created Everything will soon descend unto our City Of Silver. 'He' has picked 'his' chosen one and will make her 'his' champion. Soon, all of the heretics and false deities will fall to 'his' champion, and she shall ascend the throne as a new deity."
To add a little bit of icing onto the cake, she made her eyes light up using part of the transfiguration powers of Lust. Beautiful Amethyst colored lights shone from her face, feeling everyone with a sense of awe.
Honestly, the bullshit Capella spouted out of her mouth could be taken as blasphemy, and she would be executed on the spot, but she decided to take a gamble.
Plus, since her authority of Lust had been activated, then it would take a lot for them to actually kill her.
After hearing what seemed like a divine oracle come from the mouth of Capella, an expression of shock covered everybody in the room, except for the last unknown face who had theirs covered by the shadows of the room.
"This...This is impossible! The Lord has forsaken us!" Madam Lovia was so shocked that she completely forgot to filter the words that came out of her mouth.
Hearing this Colin cast an angry glance towards her. "Lovia, you will be careful to choose your words more carefully next time."
Realizing her falter, she immediately bowed her head down and prayed for forgiveness from the Lord. But her true thoughts were something else entirely.
Gareth, Lara, and Mila were in too much of a state of shock for anything to come out of their mouths but gasps.
Chief Collin, feeling like the City Of Silver had been re-accepted by God, could not control the happiness and joy in his face. He had always hoped for a miracle like this to be bestowed upon them but time and time again nothing had happened - up until this very moment!
"The Lord has finally Blessed us!" He began to say with a little bit of a fanatic facial expression.
Suddenly, a thundering voice that sounded like death itself came from the corner of the room, where the unknown person was standing.
"Silence!" An unemotional and gender-less voice rang out.
With it, came a wave of oppressiveness that was spread across the entire place - with Capella even struggling to suppress the urge to keel over and tuck herself into a ball for protection.
Capella felt this person's power to be way higher than own. Even with her Authority she knew if this person wanted to, he could kill her in less than a second.
"You shall all leave the room, and I will verify this for myself." Whoever this person was, seemed to be of the highest authority sense everyone left without a single glance - even her parents.
'Nooo, don't leave me with this person!' She inwardly prayed that these wouldn't be her last moments in this world.
