Chapter 2 - Already Leaving

*Location: Cybertron, Con Facility 30*

*Year: 400000 BC*

*1st POV*

Walking through the facility, I could tell that whoever maintained it did a very good job, as the place was gleaming. To the point I can easily see my reflection and my new form, and well, judging by how I looked, I could've probably been mistaken for a seeker of some kind, and my optics, I suppose, were both a bright yellow for some reason. It was very disorienting to look at even after the first time, and right now, though, I would have to act like one of them and not freak about my new body.

That could come later, and in a private room without anyone watching me, that alongside the occasional internal yelling and freaking out. The natural, or as natural as can be, healthy way to vent about this situation. Anyway, following the datapads map, I was eventually able to find a large room with only a few other seeker Cybertronians inside, and while we did look alike, there were differences, like one being taller/muscular than the rest of us, one being a feminine bot with black coloring.

There were about two more who looked similar to me, with one being of a golden design and the other being more purple/black. I found myself a place to sit down as the door closed behind me, as a projector began playing a holographic message, meaning that this was probably the orientation the other Cybertronian was talking about. So I quickly found a place to sit down as one of the other Seekers, the more well-built one kept his eye on me longer than the others before turning their attention to the message.

The hologram itself was the classic all blue you see, made up of tiny cubes for some reason or another. Well, there was probably an explanation, but for right now, I didn't need to know that as they began speaking.

"Hello, Hello new cons and welcome to your new lives in the science caste, and for your lucky group in particular, a journey among the stars." He did a whole salesman speech, alongside the classic poses you'd think times a hundred.

"Now my name is Retroburst, and I am to be the lead scientist for where you are going, Morta-Nine, a dwarf planet, where, lucky you all only two projects currently going on." He said, snapping his fingers and pointing in a general direction.

"Those two projects are Power and Seed, and you'll learn all about them when you arrive, and we can speak in person, so any questions so far?"

I was about to raise my hand alongside one or two of my fellow newborn bots, but we were quickly interrupted as the door opened and the datapad each of us held was updated. It essentially gave directions to the ship that would be taking us, alongside some descriptions of the two projects in question, both of which were...interesting in their own ways.

Power was about studying an energy source discovered in deep space, floating aimlessly through the universe, which emitted several forms of radiation, some known, others unknown.

Honestly, it sounded familiar, but I couldn't quite put my new mechanical hand on it. I know it from somewhere, but the problem was that it could've come from any form of media, even Transformers, as I wasn't the biggest fan of the series. Seed, though, was a bit more familiar as I recognized it from the...odd Michael Bay movies, although not exactly in the same context. Apparently, it was a bomb designed to transform all matter within a certain vicinity into living metal, the stuff Cybetronians were made of.

Meaning that instead of mining out or doing whatever they needed to do on Cybertron to properly create more Cybertronians elsewhere, allowing for mass-production and the proper use of worlds that may not be suitable for organic life or regardless of organic life as well I knew enough about pre-civil war life to know the caste system was a nightmare. I mean, it would be no matter what, but here it was worse by a large margin...probably depends on the iteration you were dealing with.

The datapad had a list of names for both projects, with mine being a neon green, unlike the regular green, probably indicating I was a new member alongside one more person I didn't recognize. Probably one of my fellow bots here, whom I didn't know the name of quite yet, but would probably soon. That's if I was able to interact with them or if they would interact at all. Although that would give me a chance to sort through all of this and panic internally, get my bearings, and try not to raise any concerns for my... programming, mind, what did Cybertronians call it?

Save that talk for another time, anyway, it might be best to do more research and dive deep into my, I'm just gonna all it my conscious for now and see what I can dig up. I was probably given some basic information to speak and understand what the heck I was going to be doing, but no influence on my personality or how it's done. Honestly, it was probably a complicated process that I didn't want to dive into quite yet, not unless I had loads of free time on my hands.

We each got up slowly, some of the group like me following the Datapad, others already memorizing it and heading off in the direction of the ship. It gave me more time to explore the facility I was built in a bit more, and I saw that this place was truly massive, with dozens of conveyor belts, some building gigantic bots, others extremely small ones for different functions, I'm guessing. It was truly astounding and it was interesting seeing the mechanical skeleton underneath it all.

The one that was underneath them and how the plate was outfitted to them, alongside the tube which glowed when it was on, at least that's what I believed. Anyways, I was able to reach the outside eventually, and well... there was definitely a spaceship outside waiting, and it was amazing. It was a large, dark grey ship with two wings curved upward with various busters on the back.

It was amazing to look at in real life, and massive was an understatement; it was probably built for larger groups, but it was also probably the only one available, so that just meant extra leg room. While it was true, I would've loved to explore Cybertron more closely and get the chance to see it up close. To see the sheer scale of it all when you compare it to the size of a human being and a Cybertronian.

Oh well, I guess exploring space and other planets could be cool too.
