Chapter 15 - A seed of fire, A whisper of life

The moon in the Eclipsed Plane never moved.

It just hung there—eternal, watchful, casting silver light through the darkened sky like a quiet sentinel. But tonight, something shifted. Not in the heavens... but within her.

Seraphina lay with Ravon's arms draped over her, his breath even in sleep. Her fingers lazily traced lines across his chest, feeling the steady thrum of his heartbeat. Still bare beneath the soft sheets, they lay tangled in warmth, shadows dancing across their skin like stardust.

Then… it happened.

A faint flutter deep in her core. Not pain. Not fear.

Just a pulse.

Alive. Ancient. Feminine.

Seraphina slowly sat up, the sheet falling to her waist. Her body was glowing again—but stronger this time. Golden patterns bloomed softly across her stomach, swirling in shapes that looked older than time—like celestial runes carved in light.

"What…?"

Ravon stirred, sensing the shift even in sleep. He blinked once, saw her glowing, and immediately rose, concern flashing in his eyes.

"Seraphina?"

She didn't answer. Her hand was resting on her abdomen, breath caught in her throat. Something inside her sang. Like a lullaby made of moonlight and fire.

"I feel…" she whispered, "different."

Ravon knelt before her on the bed, his fingers brushing over the markings, reverent. "These… they're not just magic," he said, his voice raw. "They're ancestral. This is… from the Mother Plane. This hasn't happened in centuries."

She looked at him, eyes wide. "You know what it is?"

He met her gaze. "It's a sign of conception. Not just any child—one born of light and darkness, of prophecy and rebellion."

Her lips parted in disbelief. "I'm…?"

"Not fully. Not yet." He took her hands in his. "But something has begun. The bond we forged in blood, the union of our bodies—it's awakened the possibility. A life between realms."

Seraphina swallowed hard, unsure if the tears in her eyes were fear… or awe.

"You don't regret any of it?" she asked, voice trembling.

Ravon leaned forward, pressing his forehead to hers. "I would choose you again in every lifetime. Even if it meant burning all of them to the ground."

They sat in silence, heartbeats synchronizing again.

Outside the room, the winds of the Eclipsed Plane whispered secrets. Something was shifting—not just in her body, but in fate itself.

She was no longer just a mortal girl swept into a demon realm.

She was becoming something else.

A mother of a prophecy. A queen of dusk and dawn. A woman who had fallen—and was now rising.
