Declan returned to the pack in the early hours of the next day, along with Gustavus and the other twenty warriors who had left with him.
"Thank you so much for bringing him back." I said to Declan, looking closely at him. He had come into my bedroom to announce their arrival, and he was acting all strange.
"Where's Magnus?" He asked.
"I had him locked up in one of the royal dungeons." I replied, and he nodded in approval.
"What do you plan on doing with him?" He asked.
"I remember asking you and Dylan, and getting no response." I replied. His countenance fell at the instant, and I became word.
"What leverage does your father have on you?" I asked him, and watched his eyes more closely than ever now. I wanted to see if there would be any shift in his expression, and what it would be.
But there was nothing. He only hesitated, and then heaved heavily.
"Luna!" Someone called quickly from outside the door, and a gentle knock on the door followed.
