[Declan]
In my anger, I headed for my bedroom but stopped by the door of the guest room where Avira was staying. A sudden thought had just occurred to me to lock up the room, and without stopping to rethink, I twisted the key on the door, pulled it out, and then I left for my room qwith the key.
Poor Avira!
I sighed in mock pity. There was no way Avira had seen this coming, and there was no way she had a spare key. But that did not make me change my mind. In fact, I liked it that she would be surprised to see the door locked, and in a bad way.
I stepped into my bedroom, and sat tiredly on my bed. I was restless and I hated to think of the reason. A part of me was urging me to open the door, but I didn't want to.
