Evelyn rose to her feet. "In case you've forgotten, this is no longer a family matter at this point. Every decision here involves every single one of you and that does not exclude my Fiancé. In fact, his words hold more importance within this room than any of your words do."
"Now, I can see that a lot of you do not agree with this decision," she said. "Would you like to give me a reason? Just a single one."
They glanced at each other.
Lincoln pinched between his brows, drawing a deep breath.
Roman said, "If anyone should rightfully own TDG if anything were to happen to you, it should be Preston."
"Why?" she asked.
"Because he's your family. Your brother—"
"And Zayne Mancini is my fiancé. What is your point?" She intently gazed at him. "It's up to me to decide if I want to give the cooperation to my brother, but seeing as I have my fiancé whom I love, why would I choose my brother? Personally, I don't think TDG will be in safe hands with him."
