Chapter 79 - Chapter 79 - Imprisoned

The most secure space that belonged solely to her had been brazenly invaded by Fu Liangmu. Su Wanwan struggled, yet she could not break free from his restraints. Her delicate brows arched slightly, and her obsidian eyes gleamed with fury. With a cold laugh, she said,"Sir, if I recall correctly, you once claimed to love your wife deeply.Don't you find your current behavior beneath your dignity?"

Fu Liangmu leaned down, his face brushing against the hollow of her neck. The scent clinging to her skin stirred a familiar ache in him. His strands of hair grazed her smooth skin, making her shudder involuntarily."She won't be angry."

A glimmer of disgust flashed in Su Wanwan's eyes."But I will be.""Let go of me!"

She spared him no mercy. Her knee suddenly shot upward in an attack. Yet Fu Liangmu, as if he had predicted it, locked her firmly in place with a swift movement of his legs, rendering her completely immobile.

Pinned against the wall in a strange posture, Su Wanwan felt a flush of heat explode across her face. Beneath the soft golden light above, her embarrassment was clear—her delicate neck tinged with pink. In that moment, she deeply regretted never learning self-defense from her second brother. Now, faced with this man, she didn't even have the power to resist.

"Are you trying to get yourself blacklisted from the music industry?"

Fu Liangmu froze for a beat, then a faint smile tugged at his lips. Was that a threat? This flustered and furious look of hers resembled a puffed-up kitten, claws bared but harmless.

"You release me now, and I'll pretend none of this ever happened.Otherwise…"

Fu Liangmu cut her off mid-sentence."You think I'm afraid?"

Su Wanwan hadn't expected him to be so impervious to both threat and plea. Just then, the waiters who had seen off Zuo Qingyan approached and, catching sight of the scene, rushed forward without hesitation.

"Hey! What are you doing!"

Unperturbed, Fu Liangmu tightened his grip on Su Wanwan's shoulders and swiftly carried her out in his arms.

"Leave her with us!"

The car door flung open. Fu Liangmu shoved Su Wanwan inside. She immediately lunged for the handle, only to discover he had locked the vehicle from the outside. The waiters had already caught up, but Fu Liangmu easily subdued them and slipped into the car himself.

As the bar receded into the distance, Su Wanwan slumped in her seat and turned her head toward him."What exactly are you planning?"

"Address," Fu Liangmu replied coolly.

Su Wanwan pressed her lips together, sulking in silence. Without another word, Fu Liangmu spun the wheel and drove off in another direction. His phone rang midway, but he glanced at it briefly and ignored the call.

The car rolled into increasingly remote terrain before stopping in front of a three-story Western-style villa. Fu Liangmu led Su Wanwan upstairs. Her sharp gaze swept the surroundings, seeking anything she could use to fight back. But Fu Liangmu merely tossed her into a room and uttered a single line:

"Rest here for the night. I'll send you back to your country tomorrow."

"I don't need your meddling!"

Su Wanwan slammed the door shut and quickly pulled out her phone to call Zuo Qingyan and report her situation. But the moment she unlocked the screen, a warning flashed.

[Your phone will shut down in 30 seconds due to low battery.]

"You've got to be kidding me!""Are you serious right now?!"

Su Wanwan raged like never before."Zuo Qingyan, you've really screwed me over this time!"

Outside the villa, headlights illuminated the driveway. Xie Cheng stepped out of his car, striding inside with a face full of indignation.

"Unbelievable. Didn't want to go to the bar earlier, but the moment he found a girl, he vanished like a ghost!""Since when did I fail to see how thoroughly you'd choose lust over friendship?"

Fu Liangmu remained seated on the sofa, still wearing his mask, radiating a cold, oppressive air.

"Hey, say something!"

His thin lips finally parted."She's upstairs."

Xie Cheng glanced upward, an evil grin spreading across his face as if he had just thought of something particularly indecent."What, planning a little captivity fantasy?"

"Get lost—" Fu Liangmu cut him off sharply."I'll send her home tomorrow."

Xie Cheng clicked his tongue and shook his head."What a waste.""Why break apart a perfectly loving couple?"

Fu Liangmu cast him a glare sharp enough to flay skin from bone.Xie Cheng blanched, nearly choking on his own saliva."Right, right, you're absolutely right. They must be separated!"

Fu Liangmu removed his mask with a flick of his long fingers and tossed it casually onto the table before rising with a trace of impatience.

"The company just sent me a file—there's something I need to take care of.Also, we've got a bidding meeting tomorrow. Come back to the office with me."

Xie Cheng's gaze darted about. His peach blossom eyes flickered, and his fingers fidgeted uneasily."You can handle it yourself, right? No need to drag me along…"

Once that guy left, he could sneak upstairs and chat with Su Wanwan. Strengthen their bond, maybe.

But Fu Liangmu saw through him instantly and yanked him by the collar."Spare me! Just give me a second—I need to grab a file I'll need tomorrow."

"One minute," Fu Liangmu said icily.

"Kao! What do you think I am, a rocket?"

"Thirty seconds."

Xie Cheng dashed up the stairs. He slipped into a room, tucked a file under his arm, and paused briefly at a door where faint movement could be heard. Pulling a key from his pocket, he unlocked it silently before heading back down.

The sound of an engine drew Su Wanwan's attention. She rose from the drawer she had been rummaging through and walked to the window just in time to see Fu Liangmu's car pull away.

He left?

She sighed in relief and abandoned her search for a charger. Grabbing her phone, she strode to the door—only to find it locked.

"Locked?"

She tugged forcefully, kicked the door in frustration, but it remained unyielding.

"He must've gone out for something important… He should be back soon, right?"

The clock on the wall read 1:00 a.m. Su Wanwan collapsed onto the bed, irritation gnawing at her. She wasn't going to sleep tonight—not until he returned.

Waiting alone was unbearably dull. She turned on the television, her attention split, glancing at the clock every few minutes.

Time seemed to stretch endlessly, becoming both tedious and torturous.

"Second Brother… when are you coming?"

Yet the second brother she yearned for was snoring loudly in a bar, dead drunk. Surrounded by a circle of worried waiters, someone occasionally patted his face or nudged his shoulder.

"Boss, wake up! The third young miss has been kidnapped!"

"When will he come to?"

"Hard to say… He drank quite a bit."

"Don't forget—last time he passed out drunk, he was out for two whole days!"

"We can't let anything happen to her! What will we say then?"

"Then you tell us—how do we wake him up?"

"Move aside! Let me try!"

The crowd stepped back in unison.

The next second, a bucket of ice water was dumped over him.
