Fuck. Just great..
My friends staring at me with confusion. They must've felt the awkward tension between us, and also because they didn't know what happened between us yesterday.
We stared at each other, I narrowed my eyes and he raised his right eyebrow, which made me even more furious the more I look at him. A girl then popped out of his back, taking a peek at us.
A silver haired beautiful girl, with long straight hair up to her thighs. Long silver lashes and a thin almond eyes with the color of a Green Hellebore. Pale skin and slightly taller than me. Her appearance instantly made me recognize her. Her name is Yelizaveta Valeriya Nikolayev, a famous Figure Ice Skater in Russia as well as her cousin Sevastyan. Their family is well-known for having a unique traits of Albinism. Not only does she excel in beauty but also in grades, just as expected from generational line of well-known successful and intelligent doctors in the world.
She stared at me with a look of curiosity. I don't know if curiosity is what you'll call her stares but for me it seemed like she was looking at me for my value or scanning me.
How ridiculous, this face she's putting on might work on other people but not me. I'm already immune to things like that due to my family.
I walked away, scoffing as my friends followed me at my back. I shouldn't waste my time bothering with those people, I have many better things to do. As my mind filled with unnecessary thoughts my walking pace becomes fast becoming impatient.
"Gabriel! What's wrong..?" Klaus asked grabbing my arm, forcing me to stop. "I'm sorry.." I stopped for a while with my head low then looked back towards Klaus. "You guys can head first to the classroom, I'm gonna head towards the faculty.." Klaus expression showed confused look but before he can finish his words Gabriel left hurriedly. "What..? W-Wait!"
Aviel and Caleb finally caught up, since fatigue and lack of sleep has caught up to them. They both pant, gasping for air while asking. "Where's he heading now!." Caleb pants. "To the faculty, although he looked quite pale and his body was a bit cold when I stopped him earlier.." He replied, Aviel and Caleb then stared at each other.
"Won't that be a bit dangerous..?" Caleb stood up properly and fixes his collar. "What do you mean?" Klaus asked. "You're really not aware of anything..?" He tilts his head, and Aviel let out a sigh. "Let's just hope nothing bad will happen." She shook her head in disbelief before she starts walking towards the classroom.
I opened the faculty door and heads straight towards the Headmaster and Vice-Headmaster's office. Teachers were staring at me with confusion and surprise as I burst down the door open.
"Is grandpa here yet..?" I say to the Vice-Headmaster sitting at his desk staring at me bewildered and immediately jumps. I sat at my grandpa's chair leaning my back on it. He approaches me with a forced smile. "Not yet, young master."
"Say, was there perhaps any mistake in arranging the ranking, Vice-Headmaster...?" He flinched. I took a pen from the desk and twirls it in the air. "Do your parents not teach you about the you should answer when someone asks you a question..?"
Clack. Roll. "Ah it fell.. What a shame.." I stood up staring at him, he remained silent. His mouth quivering and his hands shaking. "Speak." Why is it when I ask someone a question they seem to be too scared to respond. That bastard's nasty litte grin keeps popping out of my head, he should be acting like this yet where did that bastard have the nerve to just stare at me with those blasted look of his eyes. My jaw clenched and my teeth gritted remembering the first meeting I had with Lucas.
I walk towards the Vice-Headmaster and stopped infront of him. As I was about to say something the door to the office burst open. My eyes immediately widened in surprise and anger as I look at the person who opened the door my eyes immediately glistened. "Grandpa!" I said happily running towards him.
Grandpa smiled at me as he gave me a pat on the head. He then glanced at the Vice-Headmaster and asked him to leave us for a while. Grandpa then sat on his chair and I stand infront of his desk properly.
"Say Jaewhi, why is it that you caused ruckus here on the office." He asked, I felt intimidated and shocked by his tone of voice. "I just came here to discuss something with the Vice-Headmaster, he won't answer any of my questions!" I shout venting my anger. "What kind of discussions..?" He asked maintaining a stern eye contact with me.
"The ranking is rigged Grandpa, how is it that I'm on the 2nd place when I've always been on 1st. I've studied and studied all this time and even more than them, how is it that my rank went down to 2nd..? It doesn't makes sense Grandpa!" I shouted, vented out all my frustrations to him. "I've done my best, befitting to the things you have given to me and to earn my Father's favor! why is it that those people who already earned their Father's favor ever since birth get to be on top while I on the other hand have been eager to earn Father's favor since birth!." My heart aches, it felt like getting crushed in the chest by a huge boulder and at the same time it feels good to vent things out.
Grandpa looks at me with eyes filled with pity. His jet black hair and pointed dark grey eyes reminds me of my Father's, maybe it's because Father is his son. Those gaze are exactly like his, the look of disappoinment. "Why... Why are you looking at me like that..." I step back, being scared and shaking nervously. It's like I see Father's expression looking at me through Grandpa's face. My face went pale as cold sweat ran down to my face, I can't seem to breathe properly like my throat is being closed.
I took step back turning my head and ran out of office my Grandpa tried to stop me but it was too late. My legs were almost giving up and my vision became a bit blurry, I opened and I bumped into someone. My body couldn't move and just slumped down dropping and my vision slowly became black.
The person whom I bumped into was Lucas, who was called by our advisor for a talk after getting caught slacking off at the empty clubroom in the 3rd building, before I lost my consciousness I saw that look on his face. Considering his standing position when I opened the door, he must've heard the conversation between me and Grandpa earlier. This sucks to think I'd pass out infront of him out of all people.
He caught me by his arms before I could drop down the floor and insisted on carrying me towards the infirmary. Maybe it's because he wants to use this excuse to escape his detention or maybe something else..
I don't care anymore.. I just wish that I would disappear into this wretched world and family I am born into, a simple wish that God couldn't even grant me. I might be getting too immature day by day.
