They gathered to discuss how to stop her.
But one by one, they realized
She's the only reason the world hasn't ended yet.
The Tower of Councils was the highest place in the Academy.
Lit by skyfire. Guarded by spells older than the empire itself.
Only the brightest, the strongest, and the most obedient were ever summoned here.
So why were Kairon, Eren, and Sol in the room?
Because none of them fit that description anymore.
Not since her.
They didn't speak to each other at first.
Kairon stood by the window, arms crossed, the light of his bloodline crest dim on his collar.
Eren leaned against the far wall, shadowed, fingers ghosting the old scars on his wrists.
Sol sat, calm and elegant, one hand resting on his chin. Watching. Always watching.
Then the Head Chancellor spoke.
"She must be neutralized."
Kairon flinched.
Eren growled.
Sol smiled. Slowly.
"Neutralized?" Sol said. "Is that the word we're using for something we don't understand?"
"She is unstable," said the Chancellor.
"She is evolving," Eren snapped. "You just don't like what it means for you."
"She's a threat to every kingdom"
"She's the reason we haven't been consumed by the Old Magic yet," Kairon interrupted.
The room fell silent.
Three boys. One girl.
And the war she had become.
Then the Chancellor tried again.
"She's alone. If you abandon her"
"We can't," said Sol, eyes glittering dark. "We already tried."
They thought they were here to plan her downfall.
But what they realized was this,
The three boys who were supposed to stop her?
They are her blade, her storm, her mirror.
And the moment they step out of this tower?
They won't be fighting against her.
They'll be fighting with her.
