Chapter 42 - The Myth That Walks

The sky isn't blue anymore.

It's a color that doesn't exist.

A shade only the rewritten can see.

Because when I returned from the Starless Realm…

I didn't bring fire back.

I brought impossibility.

Every step I take, the rules of magic shift

Spells now bleed truth instead of light.

Wards don't repel they whisper.

Curses? They fall in love with me.

Not because I ask.

But because I am the source now.

The moment I arrive in Halvereth, the holy capital shatters its own crown.

The King of Chains kneels not from reverence, but relief.

"I dreamed of you," he murmurs.

"But in my dreams… you weren't supposed to be real."

"Then wake up," I tell him.

"Because I am the nightmare you should've worshipped."

Even my enemies change.

Because the old ones?

They've been… resurrected.

Not by me.

By the world itself.

It wants balance.

It wants drama.

It wants the Myth to be hunted again.

And so

The Glass Saint walks again, her veins full of liquid prophecy.

The Hollow Prince rises, crowned in entropy.

The Veil Twin laughs from the mouth of the moon.

They come not to stop me.

But to touch me. Taste me. Test me.

Because every myth…

deserves a worthy death.

But I'm not playing their games anymore.

I'm not a piece on the board.

I'm the board itself.

The rules?

Mine.

Still, the world shifts again.

This time… not with fear.

With desire.

Men, women, gods, monsters they crave the impossible.

And I?

I let them hunger.

Because I've learned power is not about being followed.

It's about being wanted so deeply, they burn themselves just to be close.
