The Song Before the Rain
The sky had become even heavier now.
The clouds began to lower, as if they wanted to whisper something into the earth's ear.
Ravi sat on a rock, battling the storm inside him.
"I'm afraid… but I won't run,"
he said to himself.
That song… the one he had heard before —
now echoed in the air.
---
The Song:
"Dry earth, lifeless trees,
Blue sky staring at the dark clouds…
That one drop of coolness,
As if the entire land is aching for the rain.
A breath of hope
Descends on closed eyelids.
A song that flows through the winds —
That the rain will return."
---
With the song, Ravi opened his eyes.
In front of him was — the edge of the ocean,
Where a massive ancient gate stood between the waves.
He stepped forward — afraid, yet with steady resolve.
The gate opened on its own.
Inside was — a blue cave,
At its center, amidst the water, sat — Sapno Ka Saudaagar
A Sea Dragon, whose eyes were heavy with age —
But in them was a depth, a magic.
Ravi looked into its eyes.
The Sea Dragon didn't speak — just brought forth a mirror before him.
In that mirror, Ravi saw himself —
But not as he was now —
Instead, as he could become.
Glowing like a lamp,
The boy who brings the rain.
---
The Sea Dragon said:
"Every dream is a bargain.
Will you choose faith in place of fear?"
Ravi nodded.
And just then —
A drop fell…
The first drop… of rain.
---
Reflection:
> "Rain never comes from the outside —
It comes when a fear inside begins to melt."
---
Teaser:
As Ravi turned to leave,
The Sea Dragon said to him:
"You've only begun.
The real questions are yet to come.
They must meet the darkest river of your dreams…"
And then —
The sky lit up…
And the rain began.
