Chapter 119 - Chapter 119 : "Kenthelion & Saeko busutjima"

From the balcony, Kenthelion continued smoking quietly while observing the chaos at the bridge in the distance. Police and military forces were clashing with angry civilians. Car horns blared as people tried to force their way into the so-called safe zone.

Molotov cocktails were thrown. Fires erupted. Screams echoed.

Kenthelion shook his head, unimpressed. Idiots, he thought. Making all that noise. Honking, shouting, throwing things… Don't they realize they're just drawing the zombies toward them?

It wouldn't be long now. The desperate cries for help would soon follow. He sighed and turned away from the view, already bored of watching such foolishness unfold.

Whatever, he thought. Let them destroy themselves. I have more important things to do—like saving as many beautiful women as I can. The genetics of this world… especially the busty, attractive ones… could prove very valuable to the future of the Imperium Caelestis.

Suddenly, a soft scent of wine drifted up from behind him.

He turned around—and froze.

There stood Shizuka Marikawa, clearly drunk, wearing nothing but a loosely tied towel. Her flushed cheeks, slightly dazed eyes, and swaying posture made her look even more provocative. The towel barely clung to her curves, offering an almost unrestricted view of her ample figure.

"Ah~ Mr. Kenthelion, so this is where you were hiding," she giggled.

Before he could respond, she stumbled forward and threw herself into his arms, pressing her soft, curvy body tightly against his. Her skin was warm, her breath sweet with the scent of wine.

Kenthelion stiffened—not from fear, but from something else entirely. A flicker of temptation sparked within him.

Calm down… You're not just a man anymore—you're an emperor, he reminded himself.

"Shizuka, you've had too much to drink," Kenthelion said gently, though there was a hint of concern in his voice.

"No... I only drank a little..." Shizuka Marikawa replied, her cheeks flushed, her body wrapped in nothing but a loosely hanging bath towel. She leaned in, pressing herself against Kenthelion like a clingy, spoiled kitten seeking warmth.

Kenthelion stared at her for a moment, then carefully adjusted her towel. One wrong move, and he feared he'd lose control completely.

Calm down... You're not just any man now. You're an emperor.

With slow, deliberate restraint, Kenthelion lifted Shizuka and carried her to the living room. He gently laid her down on the sofa, making sure she was comfortable, then headed to the kitchen to cool off—both literally and mentally.

But when he arrived…

He froze.

Standing in the middle of the kitchen was Saeko Busujima. Her long hair was tied up neatly. She wore only a pair of panties and an apron—no bra. The sight was more stunning than a plasma grenade blast on the front lines.

It felt like the universe was testing him—Shizuka upstairs, now Saeko down here.

"Kenthelion? Why are you here?" Saeko asked, casually, as if she didn't just look like a walking temptation.

"I was… thirsty. Just looking for a drink in the fridge," he replied, struggling to hold back the urge to pounce.

"I'll get it for you," she said calmly, opening the fridge and retrieving a cold bottle of water. She handed it to him with the grace of a traditional lady, completely unfazed by her provocative appearance.

Kenthelion took the bottle and drank slowly, his gaze lingering on Saeko's flawless beauty, his instincts waging war with his self-control.

"Sir Kenthelion…" Saeko's voice shifted, a hint of seriousness beneath her calm tone. "Do you think… those zombies can actually be wiped out?"

"I don't know... there are just too many zombies now, and the police and military can't handle them," Kenthelion answered honestly. The local forces in this world simply weren't strong enough. But the troops he brought—Astra Militarum, Space Marines, and the soldiers of the Imperium Caelestis—could wipe out the undead with ease. For now, he was letting the new recruits get used to their weapons.

"Yes… there are too many now," Saeko nodded, her expression somber.

"Well, don't think too much about it. At least, you're still alive."

Kenthelion looked at Saeko Busujima and smiled softly. That smile made Saeko blush deeply, her heart racing. She turned her face away, trying to calm herself.

Just as that silent, tense moment stretched between them—

Bang! Bang!

Gunshots rang out in the distance.

"What was that?" Saeko asked, startled.

"A riot... something must've happened at the bridge."

The two of them rushed upstairs to the balcony of Rika Minami's house. From there, they could see everything.

The streets around the bridge were packed. Chaos ruled—people pushing each other, running in panic. Screams and cries filled the air. Zombies lunged, biting anyone within reach.

People were trampled, knocked down, buried under others as they desperately tried to escape. And more zombies kept arriving, swarming like a never-ending tide.

Kenthelion could only sigh. He had expected this. The chaos wasn't just caused by the zombies—it was the people themselves, shouting, honking, provoking the police and soldiers. And now… they were paying the price.

"Are those the people near the bridge?" Saeko Busujima asked, staring at the panicked crowd in disbelief.

"Yes," Kenthelion replied flatly.

"But weren't there police and soldiers there?"

"The police and soldiers were overwhelmed and wiped out. They were outnumbered by the zombies coming in from all over the city. Their ammunition was limited, and the chaos among the civilians only made things worse."

Kenthelion watched the area around the bridge. Fires were breaking out everywhere. The sound of gunfire was fading, bit by bit. It seemed like the bridge would collapse sooner or later.

"Did you already predict something bad would happen there?" Saeko looked at Kenthelion, sensing that he had foreseen everything.

"I don't know. I just thought there were too many people there, and it was too loud. That kind of noise would definitely attract zombies."

Kenthelion couldn't tell her the real reason—this world was a comic he'd read in his previous life. He only knew what was going to happen because he had read it before.

What he didn't realize was that this bridge incident was far bigger than the one in the comic. It had escalated due to the actions of the Inquisitors and Adepta Sororitas, who punished the foolish people that dared insult the Holy Emperor while he was riding the bus earlier. Before carrying out the purge, they kidnapped the children and women there with the help of the Ghosts.

"Bark! Bark!"

Kenthelion heard a small dog barking. He instantly realized—the little girl from the comic was about to appear.

He had to save her.

She was a kind-hearted child in the story, and Kenthelion wasn't going to let her die. He quickly scanned for the source of the barking and saw a small girl and her father.

Under the moonlight, Kenthelion could clearly see them being surrounded by zombies. The father had already been stabbed and was bleeding heavily.

"I'm going to save that little girl. You wait here," Kenthelion said firmly.

"Are you crazy? There are so many—" Before Saeko Busujima could finish her sentence, Kenthelion pulled her into a passionate French kiss.

Saeko was stunned. Her face flushed red, her heart pounded. She didn't want him to go, but the kiss left her speechless and dazed.

Without another word, Kenthelion turned and rushed toward the little girl. In the blink of an eye, he appeared beside her.

The girl was crying, clutching her injured father tightly and shaking him, trying to wake him up. Then, she felt a warm hand on her head. Looking up, she saw Kenthelion and stared at him in fear.

"Don't be afraid. Big brother is here to save you," Kenthelion said gently.

The girl's father, who had been motionless, suddenly opened his eyes. With a weak, broken voice, he spoke:

"Alice… follow that big brother… don't resist… you'll be safe… Daddy can't go with you anymore..."

Using the last of his strength, he spoke those words—and then collapsed, lifeless. Alice hugged him tightly, crying uncontrollably.

"Big brother… Daddy's gone…"

"I know… from now on, I'll protect you. Whatever you want, I'll try my best to give it to you."

"Really?" Alice looked confused, unsure.

"Yes. Promise me you'll be a good girl with me."

"You really mean it? You'll take care of Alice?"

"I promise, Alice. I'll take care of you."

Bark! Bark! Bark!

A small puppy came running toward Alice, barking loudly as if trying to protect her. It stopped in front of her, staring at Kenthelion cautiously.

Kenthelion gently picked up the puppy and handed it to Alice.

"Look, you have a new friend now," he said with a smile.

The little girl hugged the puppy tightly, feeling a bit better—even though zombies were now surrounding them, ready to attack.

"Alice, close your eyes for a moment and don't open them until I tell you to."

"Okay, big brother."

Kenthelion drew his chainsword and began slicing through the zombies one by one. Lifeless bodies fell around him. He also severed the head of Alice's father to prevent him from turning into a zombie.

Holding Alice with one arm, Kenthelion fought his way through the horde with his other hand until they finally reached Rika Minami's house.

When they arrived, Saeko Busujima looked at Kenthelion.

"Wow! Big brother, can you do magic tricks? How did you get here so fast?" Alice asked in awe, amazed at how they moved to a different place so quickly.

"Yes, big brother can use magic."

"Can you teach me?"

"Someday. Someone will start teaching little Alice soon, and when you're grown up, I'll teach you myself," Kenthelion said, gently patting her head.

"Really? Really? You promise?"

"I promise," he replied warmly.

Saeko Busujima stared at Kenthelion with a pout. This guy kissed me and just ran off… she thought, annoyed. But now wasn't the time—there was still a child who needed help.

"Alice, big brother will ask the pretty lady next to me to help you take a bath, okay? After that, I'll cook something delicious for you."

Kenthelion crouched down and spoke softly to Alice.

Then, he handed the little girl over to Saeko Busujima to bathe her, and started heating up the food that the Space Marines had gathered earlier that evening.
