Chapter 9 - First mission

Oscar's Point of View:

Our very first time out was a flawless success – swift, precise, and clean. Considering my past – no parents, no family, and the harsh realities of the orphanage – the idea of possessing nearly three and a half million dollars at this stage of my life would have seemed utterly unbelievable.

But thanks to Ace's brilliant plan, we managed to acquire that sum from Father, the money we obtained through the hijacking. When Ace outlined her strategy, it sounded deceptively simple. Just like child's play.

Our eldest sister and I were armed. The route to the bank where the money was being delivered was heavily patrolled by police checkpoints. To carry this out, we created a diversion. We left our residence in two cars: Father's, driven by Ace, and Mother's, driven by Helen.

We lay in wait for the delivery van. Upon its arrival, Ace dropped Mince and me off, and Helen began pursuing Ace's vehicle. We didn't even need to enter the bank itself. There was a designated secure room for delivery vehicles, where valuable cargo like gold, money, or prohibited documents would be unloaded. It was located behind the bank.

I was responsible for that area. The room had a rolling door that, once closed, couldn't be opened from the outside. My actions had to be perfect and calculated; failure on my part meant the entire mission would collapse.

I disguised myself as a power company technician to gain access. Ace had previously provided us with information about the bank's utility provider. As the rolling door began to descend, I intentionally waited until it was halfway closed before addressing the men inside.

"Gentlemen," I stated, feigning urgency, "I'm on a tight schedule. Do I have to wait until you're finished? Other companies are expecting me."

They ignored me. At that moment, the door momentarily stopped before continuing its descent. I was about to draw my concealed weapon and force my way in when the door halted again and then rolled back up slightly. One of the men gestured for me to enter.

Earlier, en route to the bank, we had spotted a man waiting for a bus, carrying a tool bag. "Grab that bag; we'll need it," Ace had instructed. Our initial intention was to negotiate with him, but Helen, true to her nature, simply snatched it. She's undoubtedly the toughest among us.

When the bank personnel called me in, I deliberately dropped the tool bag. As anticipated, they kept an eye on me. I then pretended to inspect for a faulty connection, gradually moving closer to the two men. I was confident I could handle them.

I swiftly moved in and incapacitated the first man. Before the second could raise an alarm, I took him down as well. Mince had already positioned herself within the perimeter. I signaled for her to join me in the garage to transfer the money into our bags.

While driving, Ace had already hacked their CCTV system. The others were securing our entry and exit by engaging the security personnel in a series of distracting questions. We didn't need to change our clothes, except for my disguise, thanks to Ace's technological skills.

Money secured. Bags loaded. A ghost exit. No alarm. No lingering gazes.

Once we had secured the money from the thief's delivery and transferred it into our bags, Mince and I made a swift and inconspicuous exit from the bank.

We arrived at our designated rendezvous points. We had pre-arranged two locations: one for Vesta and Swiss, and another for Mince and me.

Mince and I waited for nearly an hour before the two cars finally appeared. They pulled up in front of us, and Ace opened the door for us to get in.

I was growing anxious about the delay. Once we were in the car and heading home, I inquired about what had held them up.

The delay stemmed from when they dropped Mince and me off, initiating the chase. They had staged a convincing pursuit, drawing the attention of the police. Ace ensured she had the full attention of all the officers in the vicinity before abruptly braking. Helen continued to "flee" even after the police vehicles were closing in.

When Ace finally stopped, the police questioned her reason for running. She pointed to Helen's car, which had stopped behind her, claiming Helen was trailing her. Helen, still in her car and refusing to exit, was asked why she was following. She simply stated that they were sisters, and she was trying to catch up with her and deliver a message.

The police spent nearly an hour verifying their relationship through numerous questions before finally releasing them.

Charles's Point of View:

My role is to globally scout for information on corrupt individuals and present it to my daughters for their missions.

This recent operation, though successful, wasn't the initial one I had planned for them. However, when I detected an opportunity – a glimmer of light in the darkness – I traced it to its source.

This "light" was the seizure of a drug dealer's substantial drug order by anti-narcotics agencies. Although the dealer himself evaded capture, he suffered a significant financial blow, losing almost all his capital.

To replenish his funds, he concocted a fraudulent business proposal for a wealthy man, ultimately swindling him out of twenty million dollars in cash. This cash was intended for deposit into his drug business associate's account.

Upon discovering this information, I recognized it as an ideal initial test for my daughters. The money they retrieved from the van was the fruit of this setup.

Our mission, in essence, is to recover stolen funds and divide them into three portions: one anonymously returned to the original owner (ensuring he doesn't lose everything), one for my daughters as their earnings, and the final portion for the less fortunate – they too deserve sustenance.

This was my daughters' very first endeavor. Their years of training and unwavering dedication deserve recognition. Therefore, I entrusted the entire sum to them to divide amongst themselves.

This operation was merely a test to gauge their readiness.

Their next mission will be in a far more secure and dangerous environment than a bank.

We planned this entire operation as a family. Their mother will be providing support from home, I will maintained communication with them remotely, and my daughters will be executing their roles at the target location.

The upcoming undertaking is what I see as their first mission.
