Chapter 15 - XIV

After their eyes got adjusted to the brightness of the object, what they saw was seven daggers;all daggers had their own unique incarnation made over it. The incarnation of each dagger, described seven different powers, Agni (Fire), Vayu (Air), Aakash (Space), Jal (Water), Pruthvi (Earth), Hastagat Netre (Manipulative eyes), Brahmandagatih (Cosmokinesis).

The siblings were baffled; none of them knew what to do. And that is when a voice echoed,

"So you guys finally reached here. Over there, it seemed like I died, and that is true, but a part of my soul remained here to protect these daggers. I was told that I'd come across the owners of these daggers when it was my time to leave this mortal world. But I was never told when, where, and how. But when I saw all of you; the shine and the aura you guy carried, said something beyond the explanation of words. You possess power before which the world will bow, but remember, you shouldn't misuse this power. It is only to be used for the welfare of people."

"I knew that if you guys weren't the right owners of these daggers, then you would've never reached here. Remember, these daggers have their own strength of summoning and their own prowess; the daggers would choose its owner itself. But remember, you should prove to be worthy of it. When all of you would be breathing your last breaths, the daggers would disappear by itself and all of them would meet at a place, waiting for its next rightful owner.

Remember, this is very crucial for all of you to keep it your most kept secret; even the silence shouldn't speak of it.

Now that I've told you this, I must leave. Don't try to find me, as you will never be able to locate me.

The daggers chose its rightful owner one by one; All the siblings had great power and strength resided in them, but their compassion and kindness towards everyone never left. They achieved great heights in their life full of respect and love.

True to the old man's words, the daggers returned to their places, waiting for its next rightful owner. The old man never mentioned that place, but it's known that its security is impenetrable; not even air can enter without the guards' permission.

(Back to present)

'And that is what shocked us. You see, each stroke in the picture of all the blades looks as if it belonged there, as if that's how the blades were carved. One more thing which we got to know in our brainstorm of the contents of the book, dedicated to this story, is that the blades have their past, current and future owner's name carved in it. No matter what, the blades would somehow reach their owner.

There are many more pictures inscribed in the book.' then Guru Krathan turned towards Anahita and apologised to her, 'Anahita, my child, I know that you are the rightful owner of this book and I knew it, yet I opened the other pages in the intent of trying to know what is written in the book, but I failed; Yet, I must apologise to you, my child, for it is my fault for opening the book; I am extremely guilty for it, my dear. Sorry'

Anahita consoled the Guru, 'No! Guruji, it isn't your fault; the intention behind opening the book and knowing inside is absolutely justified for me. In Fact anyone at your place would have acted like this. What is really necessary right now is to find my father and then learn how to control our powers and fight against my mother and win.'

The guru, grateful for the consolation and the genuinity of it was visible in his eyes... Soon the conversation more like brainstorming on how to reach Anahita's father began and after plenty of discussion and too much disagreements, they finally concluded which is nothing!!

They decided to retire for the night. But as the charmer Achyuta was, he followed Anahita back to her cottage. No sooner had Anahita reached the door of her cottage that she heard Achyuta asking;

'So, what is to be done now? I know that, as of now, going back isn't right for us. We have to get to the bottom of this whole soul of your father and book thing. But we can't forget that we do have an empire to run.' Anahita knew that whatever was being stated was right, but the daughter in her wanted to be selfish and find out her father before going back. But on the other hand, she knew that it wasn't the right thing to do.

She had to make a decision, and she knew that no matter what she decides, Achyuta was going to be by her side. If she took something wrong and is facing its consequences, then he too would sit beside her and suffer for her decision, share her pain or he might even take all the pain to bear himself. But that can't be done; now can it?

'Let's get freshen up first and whatever the decision needs to be taken, could be decided afterwards.' And he knew that she needed her time, which he was ready to give to her. So, he just nodded and went towards his cottage. Both were soon into their respective baths.

After almost an hour, both met up and sat beneath a banyan tree, lost in their own thoughts. None knows where to start from. This silence wasn't uncomfortable; rather, it carried the weight of emotions and understanding. The support others would give them.

'So….' Anahita decided to break the silence. 'So?'

'I think we should stay here for tomorrow and go back to the estate, check up everything and we could dig up more about this jungle and there might be some chances, although next to nil, but still; that we might get any hint about the whereabouts of my father.'

'But what if we don't, Annu? What would we do in that case?'

Taking a deep breath and thinking for a few minutes, Anahita replied, 'We can pay a visit to Martin; he could lead us to the Ranawat Mansion. Inayat is already safe, so there's nothing to be worried about anymore. We get in the Mansion at night, search for my mother's books, take them, come back to the estate and go through everything. But before that, I need to figure out how to read what is written in the book given by my father to me.'

'Okay so let's split it out, and no way that I am letting you do everything by yourselves, Annu.'

'I know that, Karnik' was a dry reply of our queen.

'Good, so we'd be heading back to the estate after informing the gurus; I'd dig up everything in every possible way of Mayavanna whilst you can read about the book of your father. Then, if needed, we'd have a chat with that Martin guy and, if needed, sneak into Ranawat mansion, take your mother's books or anything else. Blow up the Mansion and come back.'

Last line made Anahita raise her eyebrows and whilst glaring at him, she exclaimed, 'What's the need of blowing up the mansion?'

"We need to make them know that we were there and created a destruction for them and went away," He remarked so casually, as if they were not blowing up the mansion, instead coming back after meeting their guests. And guess what? Our queen knew better than to argue with him about a petty topic, so she headed towards the dining hall not before giving him a nod of affirmation.
