As I watch Star on my couch, I am worried that he will hate me. Hate me for everything that is wrong with me. I sit on the other end of the couch. I watch him closely. He is sitting cross legged fidgeting with his hands. He seems… a little less overwhelmed than before.
"Demon?" Star whispers. I move closer to Star, making sure to keep my distance.
"Mm?" I ask. Stay hugs me suddenly. I wrap my arms around him, holding him tight.
"I don't care!" he blurts out.
"What?" I ask, startled. We let go of the hug. Star clutches my thigh, I flinch… but decide not to move his hand away.
"That you murder people. I've decided I don't see you as a bad person," Star declares. I'm confused.
"Even if it's a bad thing? Even if I kidnapped you?" I ask gently.
"Yeah, you probably have your reasons," Star answers. I feel more relaxed.
"Ah… okay," I say softly. Star reaches up and kisses my cheek. I let him do it, I don't move away. Not wanting to overwhelm him again, I don't react by doing anything to him back. He moves back. I smile gently. He smiles back. "Hungry?" I ask
"…yes," Star nods.
"We did have ice cream for breakfast," I laugh. It's lunch time. I leave to make us something. I come back with two sandwiches. Placing the plates on the coffee table.
"What are you going to do about the DDG?" Star asks. I shake my head.
"They are not a problem," I say.
"What do you mean?" asks Star, "and what if the police are after you?" I laugh.
"Nah, no one can get me. Even if they do, I don't care what happens to me," I say honestly.
"Okay…" whispers Star. Star tilts his head. "Are you that crazy?" he asks. I nod.
"Probably," I smirk. I remember all the sick twisted things I have done and smile gently. I won't admit how bad things are and how bad I am mentally.
"What?" asks Star seeing my smile. My smile fades instantly. I don't want Star to see how bad things are… but I think he already knows.
"Uh nothing…" I reply. Star shakes his head.
"I know it's not nothing, but I won't question you about it," he whispers.
"Thanks…" I reply. We eat our lunch, Star seems happy…ish.
