Lisa and Simon goes back to their apartment after sending chairlady home on a Saturday night. Alone on their own sofa they each watch the night sky. Each thinking of the past.
Simon remember that day he was a high school student exiting from the subway. Outside was raining, rather a light rain. So he run with his bag on his head. A girl is running in front of him. She is his classmate. He call her and together they run to school. That day is the day of the school outing to a nearby lake. They take a photo together with the other friends. That late afternoon the bus they are in over turn at the corner. He open his eyes to see some sobbing in pain others are moaning. The worst was seeing his classmate with her eyes open staring at him. There is a vacant look in her. In him, a horror a fear starts to built up yet he did not scream nor cry. He calmly look at her and tear. After a long time, he hear some noise of people talking loud. Later someone is trying to pry open the metal bar that is pushing down on him. After awhile they try again with a cutter and cut it open and pull him out gently. The next thing he knows he is at the hospital. His mother did not come immediately he watch his friends' families fussing over them in the ward. Physically his body did not suffer much except for scratches and a small wound on his knee however he did not talk for days. Later he goes back to the mansion after attending the funeral of the girl. He slice of the part of her on it and some of the top of the sky too. He place it on the frame and look at it. To him it got better as if the accident did not happen. He tell himself that she is off to another school. He holds a regret that he did not tell her that he like her as he thought that they are too young to be in a relationship but at that time he understand that he should have say that to her whether she like him or not. Whether they should or not get into a relationship. He tear while thinking of it. That's why now he hold onto Lisa, in the eyes of the law she is his wife. While on the outside they are a pair of strangers who recently starting to get to know each other. They are in an ambiguous relationship which started suddenly in thin air.
Lisa watch her parents quarrel everyday of their lives together. It is always about money. Her sister will walk away but Lisa is the young child who doesn't know what and how to react. One day, her mother is packing her bag. Lisa stand by the door and watch. Her sister walk into the room and ask her what she is doing. Her mother ask if they want to follow her and never see their father again. Both girls are confused and don't know how to answer her. In her anger, she pick up her bags and yell at them. Saying that she doesn't want them too and don't go looking for her. They watch her walk out of the house. They stay in the small apartment till their father comes home late at night. He cannot believe what his wife have done. He asked his sister to take care of the children while he run to places that his wife might be. Lisa's father have an unstable income. He works as a construction worker, convience shop assistant and a newspaper delivery boy. He doesn't have much time for himself. Suddenly he got rich from lottery and started to put money in stock markets. He become richer and have slightly more time for his daughters. However his eldest daughter already have a bad impression of her father. She quarrel with him just like the mother. Asking for money and more money. While Lisa who never ask for anything watch again as a teenager that her father and sister argue non stop. After her sister disappear Lisa and her father never look for her. Lisa decided to be nice to her father who have two women who broke his heart for money. However her engagement and wedding all needs money. His investment in stock market never fails to bring his the money that he needs. Lisa tell herself never to be involved her marriage with money in it. However now she knows her marriage is an investment for her father. How is she going to leave this marriage without disappoint her father.
That Sunday morning, Simon ask if he can follow her for a morning jog. Lisa pull a thumbs up and ask that she will meet him in his apartment and they can head off together. They started their jog light and happy. They stop by the big lake to take a break. Everything is perfect. They even shop at the supermarket before going back to the apartment. Simon look for the ingredients for making bubble milk tea. It's not easy to find tapioca pearls. Looks like he have to go online to find it. at home, Lisa watch Simon's cooking show. Simon is being to enjoy cooking for her. He search for recipes that is not too difficult to make and fill their empty stomach. When they are done, they wash the dishes together. After the dishes are place on the drying rack, Simon walks to the sunflower in cups. They are blooming nicely. Just like Simon and Lisa.
