Despite Hugo's assuring words, I still felt scared out of my mind as I stared at him right now.
"It's hard to believe those words cause I'm literally tied up right now, and I still don't know where you're taking me to, or…" I was still speaking when he suddenly got to his feet and stepped away from me. When I blinked at him In confusion, he nodded at me jerkily.
"Your scent is messing with my head. The scent of heat." He explained and I felt a flush came over me as I glanced away, taking in the scent clinging to the air. It was the smell of my heat, even though I didn't feel aroused or like my body was being set on fire. I guessed this means I was yet to fully exit the heat phase. I exhaled slowly as I glanced back at Hugo and frowned.
