Chapter 14 - Temporal Anomaly

The Observer already knew the seriousness of the situation when he saw who had arrived. A Vice Admiral coming personally to this small planet meant that the event was not natural at all. And it was probably caused by an ability user, not just any user, but an extremely powerful one…

"What kind? And… How many years were reversed?" the Observer asked, swallowing hard.

"Let's not talk outside, take us to your hideout, we have a lot of work to do, and our Vice Admiral doesn't want to waste any more time than necessary." One of the Vice Admiral's 4 subordinates replied.

"Yes, I'm sorry… This way, Sir…"

Back in the surveillance room, everyone was sitting at a long table. The Vice Admiral took some documents out of his space bracelet, and waved to one of the subordinates who stood up and began to explain.

"The event was recorded by our civilization's devices as being of a High Level, encompassing the entire current solar system, and reversing time by 10 years. The person responsible is certainly a Sub-Apex. In your many reports you said that the Jyeran used the names; "level 4 mutant" and "Demigods".

The Observer swallowed again, how many times would he be surprised today?

Standing up and turning to the Vice Admiral he said: "What are the Emperor's orders?"

Another subordinate stood up and said:

"We must abort Plan A and B. And immediately initiate Plan C. We have already suffered enough losses by losing the first bioweapon with the reversal of time. The second has already been deployed and as you can see, the entire Jyera solar system has already been affected. I also brought a device with me that will amplify the speed of the virus' evolution and create more cannibalistic variants."

As soon as he finished his sentence, the man took out a rectangular device and began to activate it. Plan C meant that the losses from this operation were too great or that there was little time this time, his group should abandon secondary missions such as collecting resources from the enhanced and infected, reduce the time spent on long-term schemes, and recruit "collaborators".

The Observer saw the third subordinate, who had not yet said anything, stand up, he took an orb from his bracelet that after being activated began to show several images in the air. They were of Individuals from Jyera and some even had videos of them fighting and began another report:

"In these files we have all the undercover agents that you recruited in the last 10 years, I will work with you to help you recruit them again, this time much sooner than before."

As he looked through the list and saw the many faces, the Observer saw several men and women that he couldn't remember for the life of him...

As he quickly looked through the many files, he saw a white man with a military haircut and a "trustworthy" face. His name was Travis. The face stood out because his ability was marked as undefined, there was only a note saying that he was some kind of high-level "sensory"...

The document also said which city he should be in right now at the beginning, and what his professional qualifications were, his financial condition before everything started, other skills he had and his ambitions…

Still distracted by the report, and angry for not remembering anything. The Observer didn't see the Vice Admiral's last subordinate get up, but he looked in time to see him take out another orb, which also displayed several photos and videos of individuals fighting. Something that stood out this time was a smaller list with only 15 people and all of them used some kind of ability involving Space. The Observer didn't need an explanation because he already knew what the mission was this time...

"These are the individuals from Jyera with abilities that involve time and space. We need to eliminate them all quickly, since everyone with this affinity may have some memories of the apocalypse. The degree of memories depends on the level of the ability, so be careful..."

The Observer looked at the information and began to memorize the names and faces of the targets. Without a mentor to teach them how to use such rare and dangerous abilities, they barely had the control and knowledge to use the basics of such power.

Among them, the only one who used such an ability well was someone called the Hero among the survivors. On the screen, he appeared to be an ordinary man in his late 30s. He used an axe that seemed to cut through anything in the middle of the horde of monsters. He also stood out for wearing a yellow firefighter's helmet that had a flashy green light...

After the report from his 4 subordinates, the Vice Admiral stood up.

"Read and memorize these documents I brought. They contain some changes to the initial plans for option C, which are no longer effective. Discard them all after memorizing them. I'm leaving."

"Where are you going, sir? I have some Androids and Drones that can help you…"

"No need, I'm going to the Capital of Jyera. According to the latest data collected, that's where the person who caused all this is. I need to confirm whether she really died after using such power on a large scale. If she didn't die, she might end up using such power again, or worse, she might even become a threat to our Empire now that we are enemies…"

As soon as the Vice Admiral left, everyone began to work together with the Observer.

As they discussed the many plans and the most efficient way to eliminate the targets, they all decided to send the most powerful stealth drone they currently had. After all, it was only the first day of the apocalypse, and these targets who hadn't even awakened their abilities yet would die easily. It was a pity that there weren't enough drones to eliminate all 15, so the initial 5 targets that were considered weaker were chosen, and the powerful stealth drones were sent streaking across the skies of Jyera at high speed.

Suddenly, one of the Vice Admiral's subordinates made a comment: "Wasn't it a bit of an exaggeration to send a Vice Admiral to kill someone from an inferior race?"

One of the other subordinates who appeared to be the oldest in the group said with a stern face: "It's possible that it wasn't a human from Jyera who used such power…"
