Chapter 1 - inception

What? You want to retire?! But you're still able to write. People admire the power of your books!"

– "Honestly, I've had enough. I've achieved everything I wanted. But for everyone, I'll write a retirement novel — my last one. I'll use all the AI tools, starting with ChatGPT."

"I wish you good luck in writing. And don't forget, the head of the publishing house is always here for you, Mr. Mokhtar. But didn't you used to hate artificial intelligence because it weakens the mind?"

Mokhtar: "Thank you. But at the end of my journey, I'll let go of that principle — just to try it and see if I was right or not."

Director: "I have a curious question. Why didn't you attend your wife's funeral? And your son — don't you ask about him?"

Mokhtar, who had been smiling, suddenly turned sad and serious. He said: "First, she was my ex-wife. Second, that's a personal matter."

Director: "I wish you success in your new story. And sorry for asking."

Mokhtar, with black hair touched with white strands and a face that showed he was an intellectual, wore a fine suit. As he left, he began to think: Why didn't I attend my ex-wife's funeral? What was the reason?

He remembered the silly reason he had left his family. Then he said: "I was never meant to have a family in the first place." And he went home to stop his thoughts.

Mokhtar returned to reality and went back home. He began working on his story and used all the artificial intelligence tools. He gave the basic idea to ChatGPT, asked for suggestions and edits, and kept going like this, moving through his novel's chapters until he was nearly finished. They had agreed on the name of the novel: The Final Destination.

Mokhtar went out to the library to rent some novels he had wanted to read for a while. He browsed through the shelves: Crime and Punishment, Antichristos, The Final Destination.

"What?!"

The last title shocked all his senses. That's my novel!

He quickly rented the book and went back home. On the cover, it said: Written by: Unknown.

Mokhtar: "The author used a fake name."

He opened the novel and found it was exactly the same as the one he had discussed with ChatGPT — not a word more or less. He got extremely angry and threw the book on the ground.

He said: "No one knows about my novel except that AI program. So it's the thief — no one else."

"I swear I will take revenge on the makers of that program. I must protect my rights."

Then he picked up his phone and called a friend in the police…
