Let's rewind time a little bit.
When David was heading down to the lobby talking to Rangiku and Isane, Yoruichi was patiently eating her pudding and didn't even think to move from her spot.
[Yoruichi] 'If I stay put, he wouldn't possibly think that I've been looking around the place, right? I can just do it when he gets comfortable with me.'
She had no intentions of getting on David's bad side. Aside from understanding a little bit about his power, she was actually rather curious about him.
What does he know about me? How far into the future has he seen? What's the limit of his powers? How could he create an intimate relationship with someone in just a day?
These were the thoughts running through Yoruichi's mind that kept gnawing away at her.
As she was enjoying her pudding, she heard a confused voice.
"David? Are you there?"
[Yoruichi] 'NO! STAY AWAY!'
Yoruichi was panicking.
She wasn't sure if whatever was on Marin would be triggered if she came near her, but she really didn't want to test it out.
Marin, who had cleaned herself and materialized her kitsune-form clothes, was walking down the stairs and looking around, trying to see if David was nearby.
"David~?"
Getting no response, Marin straightened herself up and put her hands behind her back as she slowly walked toward the kitchen.
After her playtime with David, she was drained and had planned on going to sleep happy, but when she heard David's inner voice, she snapped out of her multiple-orgasm-induced trance and decided to heal herself to peak condition and continued listening curiously.
When she heard there was a woman pretending to be a cat in the suite, Marin immediately became alert.
[Marin] 'Whether this Yoruichi woman is a threat or not, I'll find out if I get close to her and pretend I don't know what's going on, heheh~. If she's a bad woman, she'll turn to dust!'
In just three days, Marin had managed to go from a super sweet and energetic gyaru to a super sweet and energetic gyaru who doesn't want anything to happen to David and will not hesitate to 'accidentally' let a bad person get close to her, hoping they'll disappear from David's life.
When Marin arrived at the kitchen, she pretended to look around for food, but she was actively searching for Yoruichi who had been hiding behind the counter, circling around it to avoid Marin's gaze.
Using her innate ability as a kitsune to sense spiritual and magical fluctuations around her, amplified by the fact that she has six tails, Marin spread out her senses and saw a faint ball of spiritual energy hiding from her.
"Now why would this little cat be hiding from me~? Is it doing something bad, hmm~?"
She quickly sped around the counter and appeared right in front of the crouched Yoruichi.
As soon as Marin appeared in front of her, Yoruichi jumped back and was scared out of her wits.
Marin just giggled. "Heheh~. Don't worry. little kitty. I won't hurt you if you aren't trying to hurt my hubby~."
[Yoruichi] 'I don't buy it, I can sense your hostility from a mile away!'
As soon as Marin wanted to tease the black cat some more, she stopped in her tracks.
⟪ Why does Isane look worried? I was just flirting with Rangiku, okay? I'd never hurt you two. Gosh, why do I feel like the bad guy? ⟫
Marin's tails twitched and she let her thoughts slip out. "You just met and you're already flirting? At least tell them you have a girlfriend first!"
Yoruichi was stunned.
Wanting to get any information she could, she decided to ask Marin.
"Am I not the only one who can hear David's voice?" She asked in a clearly male voice.
Now it was Marin's turn to be stunned. She realized she had just spoken her thoughts out loud, but what startled her was the fact that the cat spoke with a man's voice.
Marin narrowed her feline-like eyes and immediately conjured six reddish-violet balls of foxfire behind her, rotating them in a clockwise fashion.
"David said Yoruichi was a sexy and beautiful woman disguised as a cat, but you certainly don't sound like a sexy and beautiful woman..."
The balls of fire were a little unstable as it was Marin's first time using her foxfire, but she remained focused, ready to roast the black cat in front of her if she received an answer she didn't like.
Yoruichi on the other hand, well, she was rather nervous.
[Yoruichi] 'Of course I sound like a man, shapeshifting isn't perfect you know?! And it's good for misdirection!'
Yoruichi tried to back away a little bit, but one of the balls of foxfire broke away from the circle and started to hover around her.
"David doesn't allow men in his home. Speak, cat. Why are you here?"
Yoruichi sighed and sat up straight, not wanting to show any fear. "He invited me in. As soon as he saw me, he even said in his head that he knew who I was and was just going along with me."
Marin forgot about the fact that the cat could also hear David's inner voice.
"That doesn't prove anything. Plus, you didn't even tell me what your purpose here is. If you're really a woman, speak in a woman's voice. It's weird hearing a man's voice from a cat that's supposed to be a sexy woman."
[Yoruichi] 'I guess it can't be helped...'
Yoruichi nodded her little cat head and her fur started to shine gold before bursting into a bright light, momentarily blinding Marin.
Before Marin could fire off her attacks, she saw a 156 cm tall naked woman with dark tan skin, a sexy and muscular figure, large breasts, long purple hair, and golden eyes.
Her face had an expression of confidence mixed with a sexy playfulness.
[Marin] 'Darn it... She's totally a sexy woman! I wanted to be cool like David and do some fighting~!'
While Marin was genuinely on alert and wary of a potential threat in David's home, she also wanted to try to act cool and possibly shoot her new foxfire at someone.
"Well? Still think I'm a guy, or are you too stunned by all this woman to speak~?"
Yoruichi teased Marin as soon as she transformed, trying to ease the atmosphere and show Marin that she wasn't trying to be hostile and just wanted to get to know David.
Marin dissipated the foxfire circling herself and Yoruichi before walking over to the fridge and looking for the pudding, not wanting to answer the question.
Marin wouldn't say it outright, but she was definitely jealous of Yoruichi's K-cup breasts.
"Hey~! Where's the pudding~?" Marin pouted cutely.
Now that she knew the cat was indeed a beautiful woman, she wasn't cautious anymore and reverted back to her cute self, forgetting that she actually wanted to know if Yoruichi was a threat and why she was here in the first place.
Yoruichi walked back over to her bowl and started scooping it out of the bowl with her finger.
"David touched it and it disappeared into thin air. I dunno where it went, but I'm sure it's with him."
Marin folded her arms. "Mouu~. He should've left some for me..."
"He probably thought you would still be asleep after you had sex for four hours~," Yoruichi teased.
Marin turned to look at the dark-skinned beauty with a shocked expression. "How did you know??"
"Did you forget the part where I can hear his voice, too? Speaking of which, do you know who else can hear it? Or do you know why we can hear it at all?"
Marin gave a smug look to Yoruichi as if looking down on her before trying to talk like an old and mysterious martial arts master.
"Kehehe~... So you want to know, do you? Mm, I used to be like that as well until I learned the truth... It wasn't as shocking as I expected it to be, yet I found it rather profound...," Marin said while pretending to stroke an invisible beard and looking off into the distance.
Yoruichi looked at Marin with an extremely confused look. "Huh?"
"How is it~? Sounded pretty mysterious, right? Now that I have powers and am the first wife, I figured I should try to be more wise and mysterious sounding for my future sisters, heheh~."
[Yoruichi] 'Is she alright in the head?'
"Yeah, definitely mysterious. Anyway, can you answer my questions?"
Marin jumped up and sat on the counter. "I only know one other girl who can hear it for sure, but I only met her once very briefly and she hasn't messaged me yet. There was also a blonde girl fighting the monsters before that seemed to hear it. I'm certain that there are more though, I'm just not sure who they are and how they're decided."
She then turned more serious and stared straight into Yoruichi's eyes. "As for your second question... Yes, I know, but no, I won't tell you. There's a certain process to follow and only then can you know. And before you ask, no, David doesn't know we can hear his inner voice and there's a force that prevents anyone from saying anything about it to him."
Yoruichi nodded and didn't ask further. After all, it wasn't any of her business and she knew not to overstep her boundaries.
"Now then~! Tell me, why are you here, Miss Yoruichi from the Bleach franchise~? Isn't it polite to introduce yourself when hiding in someone's house disguised as a cat?"
Yoruichi smiled at Marin.
[Yoruichi] 'She sure is quick to change her attitude. She's definitely fun to be around.'
"Name's Yoruichi Shihouin. Former Commander of the Onmitsukido, ex-captain of the 2nd Division, and a certified fun-loving woman."
She winked.
"But you can just call me Yoruichi. I'm here 'cause your hubby's voice is in my head, he nuked some Hollows and an Arrancar, and he caught my interest. Simple as that. I'd also like to know more about Aizen's betrayal."
Marin just shook her head and shrugged. "Eh, I dunno about any of that stuff. The stuff in your franchise sounds too complicated. Mine is just a peaceful romantic comedy, heheh~."
Yoruichi's eyes widened. "Wait, did he tell you about your franchise?"
"No, but I read a little bit of it earlier when I was playing with my new powers. And no, you won't be able to do the same thing. Just as I said earlier, you need to follow a certain process in order to gain information and benefits, though the information you get wouldn't really be enough to sate your curiosity toward David."
Yoruichi didn't try to push further as she could tell that Marin enjoyed being secretive and had strict rules about David.
"Anyway, my name's Marin Kitagawa. While I only met David a few days ago, I totally fell in love with him at first sight. I mean, can you blame me? He's so hot~! And the powers he has along with the secrets he holds, heheh, how could anyone resist~?"
Marin was full-on fangirling, not caring about her image whatsoever.
[Yoruichi] 'He's definitely hot.'
"Also, do you have any clothes? I don't really care, but David would totally drool over you. I'm sure he already has his eyes on you, but he probably has enough to deal with, such as the two women he's fawning over outside."
Marin and Yoruichi had been listening to David's inner voice the entire time they were talking, but they had gotten used to thinking their own thoughts while listening to his.
"Nah, I wasn't really planning on staying in this form. I just changed to prove I am who I am."
Marin nodded. "Umu, then quickly change back. You may be fine struttin' your stuff around, but you should only do that if you're David's woman."
While she was slightly admonishing Yoruichi, she was also a little concerned about her.
[Marin] 'Seriously, this woman is too open! She doesn't blush at all! She should know that David will absolutely put her in his sights even sooner if she shows off her perfect body like that.'
Yoruichi quickly transformed back into her cat form.
"This better for you?"
Marin wrinkled her nose. "Ehhh... Can you do something about that voice?"
Yoruichi jumped up on the counter and started eating what little pudding she had left.
"It's not something I have control over, okay? Besides, people will think I'm a dude if they hear me, right? It has its pros!"
"Hmm~, I guess it's fine then. Alrighty~, I just came down to see if you'd disappear into dust if I got close to you or not, heheh~. It's nice to meet you, Yoruichi! We should totally become friends, maybe you can take me out to hunt those monsters sometime. I really wanna try out my new powers~! I'm like a sexy fox version of a magical girl!"
"Oh? Feeling frisky? I know a few spots where Hollows like to crawl out. Hope you won't end up getting too afraid to get your hands dirty, fluffy girl."
Marin giggled. "Eheheh~, haven't you been listening to what David has been saying? He wants his women to be strong! If I can take care of monsters with ease, wouldn't he want to take me along with him if he does something fun in the future~?"
"Hahaha! I like you, fluffy girl! Sure, I don't mind taking you to hunt some Hollows. Ochanomizu has a high amount of spiritual activity so they're not too hard to find, but you'll likely run into Shinigami since they patrol around here quite often."
Marin just waved her hand. "Ehhh, it's fine~! I have you to back me up if needed, right? I don't know what all the stuff you said before means, but you must've held a high position and are pretty strong~!"
Yoruichi lowered her head a bit. "Well, that's not wrong, but right now I'm trying to lay low. I'm technically a wanted traitor by the Gotei 13 so I try not to show myself in front of other Shinigami."
"I remember hearing about Gotei 13, but I don't know what it is. Hearing about all the captains and lieutenants, is it like the military?"
"Yeah, pretty much. Think of them like the Soul Society's military police. Thirteen divisions in charge of keeping order, fighting bad spirits called Hollows, and making sure the whole spirit world doesn't fall apart. They patrol the living world and Soul Society, and they don't mess around. Some divisions are stricter than others, but overall, they run things."
Marin nodded her head with an "Umu, umu..." before leaving the kitchen and sitting on a couch in the living area.
Yoruichi followed behind and laid down on the couch, leaving her empty bowl on the counter.
Marin wanted to continue talking with Yoruichi, but then they heard David's inner voice talking about his past with relationships and could feel the depression and distrust in his voice.
Marin lost a bit of her energetic presence and looked at Yoruichi with a slightly sad smile.
"That's another reason I fell for him so easily. I'm drawn to his past and want to know more about him. He seems to have suffered a lot before and for some reason, I just want to make him happy. Seeing his happy expression and hearing him get excited over certain things warms my heart. I don't care how it looks to others, but even though I haven't known him for long, I love him. Hearing his inner voice has allowed me to get to know him on a deeper level and I don't just see him as a pretty face with cool powers. While those are a plus, they're not what makes him David."
Yoruichi was silent, but she had to agree with what Marin said for the most part.
"Yeah, I get it. I'm not in love with the guy, but I do find myself wanting to know more about him. When he's near, there's this weird aura of comfort coming from him and it makes me want to just stay around him to find out more."
The term curiosity killed the cat seems to be quite effective concerning Yoruichi. Her curiosity toward David was what pushed her to approach David and try to find out more about him in the first place.
Marin shook off her pitying thoughts as she recalled Chaos-chan telling her not to pity David.
"Hoo~! That's enough of that! Wanna watch TV while we wait for David to get back?"
Yoruichi adjusted her position so that she could see the TV. "Sure, let's see what on."
Marin grabbed the TV remote and turned on the TV, deciding to watch whatever was on at the time.
The first thing that came on was a show that had a tall and lanky black man with a weird hat and glasses, talking about successfully purifying a spirit. He crossed his arms and held his chest while shouting, "BOHAHAHAHA!"
Yoruichi glanced over to see Marin's confused expression.
"Never seen this show before?" She asked.
Marin shook her head. "No, I prefer anime."
The two continued watching the show while waiting for David to return.
...
David, Isane, and Rangiku had finally arrived back in the lobby of Roselia Heights.
"Are you girls sure about staying with me? You likely won't find anything too interesting in your observations."
Rangiku just rolled her eyes. "Please, anyone would be able to tell that's a lie. Unless you're hiding something sinister~?"
David just laughed her off. "Haha, suit yourself. As long as you don't mess with my cat or try to intimidate my girlfriend, I don't mind."
They started walking to the elevator to head to David's suite.
⟪ It's fine to call Yoruichi my cat, right? These two wouldn't know any better and by telling them not to mess with her, they would probably think that she's under my protection if they ever find out who she is. I'm pretty sure she's still labeled as a traitor due to Aizen framing Urahara and forcing him to flee to the Human World... ⟫
[The female Shinigami] 'What did he just say?'
On the couch, Yoruichi shot up and was instantly seething with rage. "IT WAS THAT BASTARD?!"
⟪ Aizen is such a trashy character, but I definitely have to give him props for being so sneaky. I wanna kill him as soon as possible so he doesn't cause me any trouble, but... On the other hand, I wanna be friends with Ichigo and all of them, then experience the plot by their side. I'd prefer to treat it like a little field trip with characters I liked, but I'd probably get irritated with their behaviors in fights. ⟫
Yoruichi laid back on the couch and tried to calm herself down, hoping that David would say something helpful to her again.
⟪ I don't know how many fights I've seen where they just stand there and talk to each other while waiting for the other party to attack. It's not a turn-based RPG, okay? Fight and kill them! I did find the dialogue funny though so I'll give them that. Lots of funny episodes in the Human World. ⟫
⟪ Now that I think about it, why is it called the Human World if there are other supernatural races living here? I thought it was called the world of the living or something. Hmm... ⟫
The elevator dinged and opened its doors, showing the hallway on the 30th floor.
David walked out and was humming merrily while Rangiku and Isane were still standing in the elevator, stunned by the revelation that Aizen had also been behind the hollowfication experiments.
After everything that David has said so far whether he was hinting around at things or outright saying them, those that could hear him believed what he said about Aizen.
⟪ Still, I'd like to tell them about Aizen so they can prepare themselves, but I doubt they'd believe me. Oh well, I'll just wait until he pulls the 'You thought I died, but I actually stabbed myself with illusion magic' trick. You'd think the guy with a god complex and a hypnosis sword might've raised some red flags, but nah. ⟫
⟪ I swear, if I had a dollar for every time Soul Society misjudged someone, I'd have... well, just enough to buy a fruit sandwich for Momo. Aizen is one, Gin is another, Urahara and Yoruichi got wrongfully accused, and even Kaname joined Aizen's group. Seriously, those old fogeys should get replaced... ⟫
David stopped his thoughts and turned around as he noticed that the two girls were still in the elevator.
"You girls planning on coming out?"
Rangiku and Isane snapped out of it and hurriedly rushed up to David.
"Ahaha, sorry about that. I was thinking about how much I should drink tomorrow and how much I should save, haha~!"
Isane quickly nodded her head. "Right. I was just waiting for Lieutenant Rangiku and got distracted by my thoughts. Sorry about that."
David just waved his hand. "Nah, it's fine. We all space out every now and then."
They quickly walked to the end of the hallway and David set the bags down before taking out his keycard, opening the door, and picking the bags back up to bring inside.
⟪ If I used my inventory to store everything, it'd have saved me so much trouble... Ugh, I shouldn't show weird powers to these two yet or they might think I'm hiding more powers. If they think that, they might start to distrust me or something. As I've said before, they're not very good at judging people. ⟫
[Rangiku & Isane] 'We already know you're hiding more powers, okay? And we're not bad at judging people!'
The two had their own complaints, but couldn't voice them so they just acted like they didn't hear him.
[Rangiku] 'And if I were such a bad judge of character, I wouldn't have suggested staying with you! Rude!'
⟪ Well, if Rangiku was a bad judge of character, she wouldn't have suggested staying with me. Still, the others are questionable. Except for Unohana; she's perfect no matter what, whether she's a good judge of character or not wouldn't affect her perfection. ⟫
Unohana, who was meditating in her room while listening to the Harem Frequency broadcast, just smiled calmly with a warm glow in her eyes when she heard what David said.
[Rangiku] 'That's more like it~.'
David led the girls inside and set his shopping bags down on the kitchen floor.
"This is my home. Make yourselves comfortable and--"
"David~!"
David wasn't able to finish his words as Marin jumped off the couch and launched herself at him, snuggling her face in his chest and wrapping her tails around him.
"Marin? Why are you awake? I thought you were passed out after our... playtime?"
"Heheh~, I woke up for some water and got distracted by the cat so I started playing with it. Then I couldn't go back to sleep without you so I just turned on the TV and decided to wait!"
Marin reluctantly stopped snuggling David and turned her head to look at the two beautiful women who were standing in front of the door.
"Hmm~? Did you already bring new women home? I thought for sure you'd at least wait a little while~."
David patted her on the head and played with her fox ears.
"No, they're from the Soul Society and were sent to watch over me to see if I'm a threat to them."
A few of Marin's tails were swaying as David pampered her.
"Mm, I see~! So you shamelessly asked them to stay with us, is that it~?"
"Gasp! I would never. They seduced me and threatened me with arrest and incarceration if I didn't let them stay!" David lied in a dramatic voice.
Marin knew he was joking and decided to play along.
"What?! No way~! You can't take my hubby away from me! Fine, I'll let you stay here, but no arresting my David~!"
⟪ Heheh, it's so fun to play around with Marin like this. Though, if she were really worried, she wouldn't have that big beautiful smile on her face. Still, she's too cute to complain about. ⟫
[Marin] 'Heheh~, praise me more!'
Rangiku, Isane, and Yoruichi were all dumbfounded, not sure how to respond.
Sensing their awkwardness, David decided to stop joking.
"I'm just kidding. I was the one to suggest they stay here since I don't plan on leaving the apartment much until school starts and they wouldn't have a chance to observe me, thus wasting their time. I'd rather have another two beautiful women around anyway. Should be fun!"
David smiled and turned around with a few of Marin's tails still wrapped around him, moving to put away all the snacks and drinks they bought.
You girls introduce yourselves, I'll put everything away.
Marin cheerfully walked up to Rangiku and Isane to try and set some ground rules.
[Marin] 'Heheh, I'm in charge here, ladies!'
