"Wow..." It's the woman on the other side of the glass that blinks, her usual stotic face wide-eyed and surprise at the impact Ashton's fist caused the walls to shatter. She softly huffs, straightening her back and leaning on her thick black chair to watch the chaos from above as if she's a queen watching a show in the arena.
"I-I don't know about this..." First Shooter said, her big aqua eyes landing on Mad Dog as he takes a step back, eyeing the clenched fist seconds from plummeting his face in. "This looks like it could get ugly."
"It will." Killer Brigade said, a small smirk on her face. "I can't wait."
"Brigade-!" First Shooter starts to say, but there's a suddenly clearing of one's throat, followed by the sound of a door opening. The two girls still, turning their heads around as they hear a door click open and shut followed by the strong scent of cigerattes infiltrating the room.
"How many times do I have to tell you," the tall man with light brunette hair and brown eyes turns his head, shooting the person behind him a deep scowl. "Boss hates the smell of cigarettes, Vinci."
There's a small grunt that acts as a replacement to a response aimed at the tall man. The three woman in the room turn their heads to meet eyes with a tall man with jet black hair, black eyes, and tattoos covering his exposed skin. He's wearing a painted, colorful kimono on top of his uniform--an all black suit and tie--and he wears black gloves covered in paint on his fingers, twisting a cigarette between his middle and pointer finger as he boredly gazes at the participants in the room.
"Dully notes, Chi." The man said, letting out a lose huff of smoke out his lips. "Or am I referring to your code name now?"
"We're on the clock." The other man said, his handsome face set in a deep scowl. "You're given a code name for a reason. Use it."
Vinci rolls his eyes, offering a soft huff before his dull black eyes linger in front of him, we're he quietly watches the fight between Jin and Ashton unravel.
"Who's the new guy?" Vinci asked, watching Mad Dog and the short man go head-to-head. "He looks pretty good. And crazy. Am I missing something...?"
"Ah, apparently short stack has a devil in him, like Mad Dog!" Killer Brigade said, crossing her arms on her small chest. "We're testing out to see what devil it is."
"Ah, there's so many of them." Vinci roams his eyes over to the stoic lady sitting on her throne-like-chair. "Tell me, Boss. Would you even be able to tell?"
There isn't a direct response from the stoic woman. Her crystal hazel eyes intently focus on the duo battling below; he gaze focused and stuck on the show in front of her.
"Let me ask you this, Vinci." The stoic woman suddenly asked, turning her head to face Vinci with wide eyes, causing Vinci to flinch. "Your cousin--how would he determine a specific devil?"
"Ah...you mean Baldly?" Vinci said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Skill level, attack power, maybe he'll look for elemental components--and of course, an distinguished weapons of choice-."
"Fire." The woman cuts Vinci short, her wide eyes causing Vinci to feel uneasy. "The element is fire. Power immense, just immature. As of now, no distinguished weapons. Except for an eye ball in the middle of his head."
"Eye ball and fire..." Vinci mutters, rummaging through his back pocket and reaching for his phone. "Baldly isn't very good with tech, but if he figures out how to respond I can let you know-."
"Hurry." The stoic woman said, turning herself back to the battle below. "I don't have all day."
Vinci scowls, letting out a huff as he pulls his phone to his ear and turns around, trying to connect to whomever he wishes to be on the other side of it.
...
"Hey! Short-ass-! Relax, will you!" Mad Dog said, staring with big eyes at the large, gaping hole behind him. "Someone has to clean that up, you know-!"
Mad Dog dodges a harsh fist aimed at his chin by the skins of his teeth. Mad Dog staggers back, catching his breath and blinking his eyes, but when he opens his eyes, Ashton is no longer there. Mad Dog grits his teeth and looks up, staring dead in the eye at the grinning man, who lodges himself on all fours on the roof, his black nails digging into the ceiling and his three eyes focused on Mad Dog's nervous statue.
"I should have asked for 30% after all...!" Mad Dog said, letting out a harsh, frustrated sigh as he watches Ashton grin, the tail flames twirling around his arms cause makeshift whips that on impact, cause the walls near them to rumble. Mad Dog gulps, stepping back as he watches the flames around Ashton get bigger, his smile grow wider, and the pupils in his eyes grow larger. Mad Dog slowly reaches behind him, feeling his cased sword in his hand. Mad Dog slowly breathes out, raising his sword's case and taking the sheathed sword out of it. Mad Dog softly inhales, holding the bottom of the sword in one hand, focusing his gaze at Ashton as he slowly unsheathes his sword.
"Hurricane Katsumi." Mad Dog mutters, watching as large, pillars of black ice rise from the ground and plummet through the earth, creating large ice shards that plant themselves in the ground. Mad Dog points his sword forward, watching Ashton grin, jumping down from the ceiling and land to the ground, swiftly spinning and dodging the large ice shards that are ready to pierce him. Mad Dog grits his teeth; he plants his feet forward of the ground as he watches Ashton run ahead, using on the shards as a stool, a head start to jump high in the air and ready a hard knee to Mad Dog's face. Mad Dog readies himself, holding his sword careful as he calculates the timing of his swing, but suddenly, like a flame, Ashton disappears from before him.
Mad Dog blinks, quickly turning his head with shaking pupils as Ashton is behind him, his fist covered in hot tail-like flames as he grins, readying his fist to collide with Mad Dog's face, but Mad Dog--his glasses are still lose from the fight before and brittle, so the quick whip of his head cause his glasses to slant, then to wobble, and finally to break into two.
Mad Dog blinks, feeling his eyes' iris turn crimson, his hands quickly twirl the blade to where the blade faces Ashton, and the blade's bottom and Ashton's fist collide, the force of the collision causing the behinds of both men to rumble, then combust into pieces of rock and broke wall paint. Ashton blinks, confused by the sudden block, but Mad Dog is quick, cold, calculated in his other form, and he uses Ashton's distracted state to grab his smaller arm and pull him forward, raise the bud of his blade, and hit Ashton in the back of the head so hard, Ashton gasp, shutting his eyes close and staggering forward before he slumps, falling limp in Mad Dog's muscular arms.
...
"You think Vinci may found out who it is...?" First Shooter said, her aqua eyes focused on the close door behind her. "His cousin awfully comes in handy with the devil naming stuff. The kinks. You know?"
"Probably because he's a Buddhist." Killer Brigade said. "I do hope Vinci can get him on the phone...from what I hear, that bald guy is a lost cause with tech."
"Do you think he'll be useful at all?" The tall man with brown hair asked, turning to Boss and whispering closely in her ear.. "You know how Vinci can get...or not get, since he slacks off. I feel bad for Red Genocide sometimes, and that says a lot..."
"I'm not sure, if I were to be honest." The stoic woman said, her eyes watching Mad Dog catch Ashton in his arms. "Though, not sure why, but Mad Dog;'s devil is acting...a bit strangely..."
"Now that you mention it." It's First Shooter that chimes in, tilting her head to the side. "Usually when I see Mad Dog;'s devil, it gets horribly nasty. That was...not bad? I'd say still harsh, but something about it...it's gentle? Jeez, it's so hard to explain."
The stoic woman nods, a subtle smile making its way to her face.
"I wonder what's that about..." She said, playing with the ends of her hair, however, she's soon interrupted, as there is a large bang on the door, followed by the said door being swung over by Vinci, who has a cigeratte in one hand, and his phone clutched to his ear in his other.
"I have an update." Vinci said, slowly nudging to his phone with his nose. "And what that is down there, that's no ordinary devil! That's-it's-!"
