Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 – The Road to Reunion

"Let's go, everyone follow me!" Rimuru unfolded a pair of wings and soared into the air, leading the group forward.

A large crowd followed behind Rimuru, heading grandly toward the depths of the Sea of Quanta.

"Seele, I will bring you back," Bronya muttered, clenching her fists tightly.

"Don't worry!" Himeko placed a reassuring hand on Bronya's shoulder. "We will bring Seele back. After that, we'll go find that dummy Kiana, and then all of us will return to St. Freya Academy—no one left behind." Her eyes were firm—this was one thing she would never compromise on.

"Himeko…" Bronya didn't say much. She simply reached out and held Himeko's hand. They didn't need many words.

The journey wasn't peaceful. Every now and then, two monsters would appear and attempt an ambush—only to get absolutely destroyed by the group.

"I'm gonna smash you!"

"Tempest Slash!"

"Undying Demon Flame!"

"Mountain Crusher!"

"Thousand-Year Death!"

"Dragon Claw Grab!"

Wait… wasn't something weird mixed in just now?

Flying above them, Rimuru watched the madness unfold with a deadpan expression. Those moves were already ridiculous enough—but yelling them out loud? Did they want the enemy to hear?

"Geez… have some dignity," Rimuru grumbled as he looked into the distance. A massive cherry blossom tree was now within reach.

"Is that the place?" Bronya asked.

"Yeah. Seele should be there. And… someone else too," Rimuru replied.

"Kevin, right?" Himeko narrowed her eyes slightly. The ultimate warrior from the previous era.

"Don't worry. He's not a bad guy," Rimuru assured her. "He's like you—someone who wants to defeat the Honkai. Not really our enemy."

"Well, enough talk. Let's just head there. If he doesn't want to talk it out, I'll teach him how to," Whitebeard said domineeringly. He didn't care who this Kevin was—if he was hostile, he'd get a punch to the face first.

"Good point. Let's move." Rimuru gave the signal, and the group began marching toward the cherry blossom tree.

Meanwhile, under the tree…

"Upon the scorched earth, I, Kevin Kaslana, make this vow to all: No matter the cost—humanity will defeat the Honkai!" The towering figure stood before the cherry blossom tree, declaring his oath.

"Who… are you really?" a voice rang out behind him—it was Seele, Bronya's younger sister.

"You already know, don't you? Kevin. A warrior of the previous era," Kevin turned his head slightly and replied.

"The previous era…" Seele went silent. The civilization destroyed by the Honkai…

"We failed to defeat the final Herrscher." Kevin spoke with unnerving calm, like he was recounting something trivial. "Our thriving civilization collapsed completely. Only a few of us survived."

"Hm? Someone's approaching. No—a lot of people," Kevin's face showed confusion. Since when did the Sea of Quanta have so many visitors?

"Seele! Get away from him!" came Bronya's voice from afar.

Heavy Bunny shifted into its motorcycle form and soared over to block Kevin, placing itself between him and Seele.

"Bronya!" Seele cried out in surprise and joy.

"Seele, I'm here to take you home," Bronya said softly, keeping a wary eye on Kevin.

"You don't need to be afraid," Kevin said calmly. "I am not your enemy."

"That's not for you to say!" A massive figure fell from the sky and crashed beside Kevin—Whitebeard, towering over him, staring down with intimidating presence.

"A giant?" Kevin's eyes narrowed. "Some kind of biological enhancement?"

"I'm not some experiment, kid," Whitebeard chuckled.

Kevin took a few steps back—the pressure from Whitebeard's body was immense. He could feel the overwhelming power radiating from it.

"Kevin Kaslana. One of the strongest warriors from the Flame-Chasers of the previous era, one of the few who survived, and the true leader of World Serpent. Did I get that right?" Rimuru floated down, eyes calmly fixed on Kevin.

"Looks like you know quite a bit about me," Kevin replied with a composed expression.

"More or less," Rimuru admitted. By now, the rest of the group had caught up and stood behind him.

"You're not from this world, are you?" Kevin asked, seemingly unaffected by the sheer number of people watching him.

"Oh? And what makes you say that?" Rimuru asked with a slight smile.

"For one, none of you carry any traces of Honkai energy. That alone rules out this world. And the Sea of Quanta connects to many parallel universes—chances are, you're from one of those," Kevin said, analyzing calmly.

Clap, clap, clap! Rimuru casually applauded. "Correct. We are from another world—but not quite the kind you're thinking of."

"Is that so?" Kevin narrowed his eyes. Their sudden appearance was too bizarre. Normally, one had to open the Sea of Quanta to enter it. Yet this group just appeared—as if someone dropped an object into a room without using the door. It meant they likely hadn't arrived through any known gateway.

"Well, do you want to know more?" Rimuru grinned mischievously. "If you're curious, just say the word. I might tell you. Sound good?"
