Chapter 56 - Episode 56:The second moon cracks

"BOOOOO!!!"

Jin's scream echoed across the battlefield.

Something snapped.

The air changed.

The clouds above twisted unnaturally as if afraid of what was awakening.

Yooha turned toward Jin — her eyes wide. "No… not now."

His hand trembled. The blade in his palm began to glow — not blue, not white, but midnight black. Veins of red lightning laced through his aura.

Jin's pupils were now golden.

A divine mark — long sealed — burned into his back.

"Stand. Down," he growled to the enemies. But they didn't listen.

Big mistake.

The wind exploded around him. Like a hurricane made of divine rage.

Jin vanished from sight.

Then—

SLASH. SLASH. SLASH.

Enemy after enemy fell, unconscious in seconds. No blood. No sound. Just silence — terrifying silence.

Then the phoenix in the sky shattered with one swing.

Yooha felt the tremor ripple through her soul. "That power... it's not even human anymore."

Meiqi cried over Bo, who coughed, alive, but barely. "Don't die, idiot…"

Bo chuckled faintly, eyes half open. "I said… no goodbyes…"

"YOU BETTER STAY ALIVE FOR REAL THIS TIME!" Meiqi yelled, wiping tears.

Then—suddenly—Yooha froze.

Her sword clattered to the ground.

"Yooha?" Han asked, rushing to her side.

She stared into the distance, cold sweat trickling down her cheek. "It's them… I can feel them watching…"

A shadow moved across the sky. A figure in a dark academy cloak with glowing silver sigils.

Ghost Gordon.

Jin looked up slowly.

"They were here… this whole time."

The masked figure raised a hand.

"You've grown stronger, Hoshin. But will you still smile when she breaks?"

Suddenly, Yooha screamed — clutching her head. A wave of dark energy surged through her veins.

"No—! Not here… not now—!"

Jin dropped beside her, holding her tightly. "Yooha! Stay with me!"

"I… remember…" she whispered. "The experiments… the cage… Ghost Gordon did this to me…"

Han's face turned pale. "It's starting again, isn't it? The forbidden awakening…"

Jin stood slowly, fire burning in his chest.

"They wanted war."

He looked at the second red moon cracking like glass.

"Then they'll get it."

To be continued…
