Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18

Time.

It is a strange thing. It changes people in such a way that we can never expect. Now you might think, why the hell are you telling us this.

Well... Because I want to look cool and mature.

Duh.

Jokes aside, it's been four years almost five since I came into this world. Four years of hardwork and preperation for the upcoming war and of course you can't forget gacha.

But you'd think after four years of pulling that lever, I'd be swimming in busted loot, right? Wrong. The Gacha must've had beef with me because I got garbage. Literal trash. I'm talking "Big Mom's panties" level rolls — although I'll admit, that one wasn't entirely useless.

Sure, I did get about ten useful pulls... and yeah, they were OP, but still. I deserved more. Anyway, wanna know what I got? No?

Too bad. I'm telling you anyway.

1.Acasulatiy

(Even the author doesn't know what happens next — and you're not helping.)

2. Shadow Extraction (Solo Leveling)

(Now you too can play necromancer, but edgy. Warning: does not work on social life or dignity.)

3. Inverted Spear of Heaven (Jujutsu Kaisen)

(The ultimate anti-hax stick! Seals your enemies' powers — and your chance at subtlety. Please do not poke friends, pets, or Gojo.)

4. Shin Jonghak (The Novel's Extra)

(Brooding rich guy with daddy issues included. May attempt to fight you for the protagonist slot.)

5. Fountain of Youth (Seven Deadly Sins)

(Immortality in a bottle! Side effects may include eternal boredom, chronic involvement in epic wars, and babysitting emotionally unstable knights.)

6. A Single Page from the Death Note (Death Note)

(Use wisely… or write 'Homework' and pretend it died. Warning: Does not work on taxes or emotional trauma.)

7. Knowledge about Potions

(You are now legally a fantasy pharmacist. Try not to mix invisibility with laxatives again.)

8. Vibranium (Marvel)

(The rarest metal in the multiverse — ideal for shields, suits, and smug flexing. Sadly, Wakandan citizenship not included.)

9. Pym Particles (Marvel)

(Size matters. Now shrink your enemies, your ego, and your rent payments — all at once!)

10. Round Deer (Jujutsu Kaisen)

(Summoned a deer. It's round. It heals. It vibes. 10/10 would trust to guard your respawn point.)

I am basically Gojo Satoru of this world.

Nah, I would win. Actually? I'd beat Gojo. Blindfold or not.

If you are wondering that now I can just, wipe all the villains by just writing their there names, then you my friend are wrong because this page is already filled with names and I didn't write them but this doesn't mean it is useless it still has space for one name.

Hehehheheheh, I think you already know whose name I am going to write, right? But that's for the future, maybe I will change my mind.

As for the other things, I used vibranium in my clothes and reverse engineered pym particles thanks to MY intelligence, now I can make things big or small as I wish. Acasulatiy shields me from all fate-based mumbo jumbo. I can now say fuck you to Agrona. Even Rinia Darcassan can't predict what I'll do next (Suck it, seer lady.).I wonder how she feels about that.

And no, I didn't get the whole fountain of youth but enough to make me immortal or you can say nearly immortal. Round deer would have been helpful if I didn't get the fountain but I can still use it on others but it would have been an another story—if I got the big raga.

As for the knowledge it only contains the knowledge of basic potions like stamina potion, basic recovery potion etc.

But with my knowledge I created many powerful potions for myself ofcourse.

Jonghak was the only character that I got was not a base human character. Although, he was a douche in the novel but his spearmanship is ok-ish. And last but not least, the shadow extraction it is freaking overpowered now I can have my own army of soldiers. I have added some beasts to my army that I hunted but no humans....yet. Not like I am afraid or anything it's just that I haven't found anyone worthy. I have been thinking, in the manhwa Sylvia Indrath's body was never found or was it? You know where I am going with this, right?

Sooooo, what if I made her a shadow soldier. Great idea, won't you agree?

Anyways, enough about gacha now let's talk about MY progress. First of all I finally learned this world's language. I don't need to depend on universal translator anymore. Second of all, the core, yes I have kept it and it has progressed steadily, I am now at solid silver. And I have started a business of potions as kael of course and can you guess what did I name it?

....Minecraft.

Yes, I named it minecraft stupid name but whatever. Atleast now I have a steady flow of income. Not like I needed it.

Oh!! If you are wondering then yes I graduated from the academy. I completed it, didn't expect that at all.

I have become Gideon of the potion making and I hate it when people compare me with him. Comparing me to that nutjob is like comparing a monkey to a genius. If I wanted to I could have created advanced technology for this world but then I remembered that was Arthur's job not mine.

Well, I have created some gadgets, as for what I will tell you in the future.

My adventuring life has also progressed significantly, Ghost is now an A-rank adventurer but everybody knows he is much stronger than that. The twin horn party has also become big Jasmine and Alice joined the party one after another. And Reynolds and Alice are already married, I was invited to their wedding. I have grown closer to all of them but they still don't know my real identity and haven't questioned me about it. Oh, one more thing I saved Lensa, I remember she was supposed to die by poison so I gave her senzu bean, secretly of course and said she healed because of Alice's healing they believed me... I think.

The canon is approaching and I know it because Alice is seven months pregnant. Both Reynolds and Alice have left the party to settle in the ashber town . I also left twin horn after them to focus more on the future preparations.

One interesting thing that happened was when I was on a solo mission near the elf kingdom, I met virion yes the actual virion when he saw he tried to attack me and well that didn't go so well for him.Don't get me wrong, I didn't hurt him. Well… maybe a little. Just a bruise or two. And maybe some pride damage. But in my defense, he did try to take my head off the moment he saw me. Apparently, a masked guy with strange magic hanging out near the border is considered "suspicious." Who knew?

He asked who I was, demanded it actually, sword pointed right at my neck, mana flaring. I didn't answer, of course. I just tilted my head like a creepy NPC and said, "Nice to meet you, General." Very polite. Very mysterious. Very Ghost.

Then I vanished using the invisibility cloak like a budget ninja. I watched him from the trees for a bit afterward. He stood there, sword still out, muttering to himself like he just saw a hallucination. I think I scared the old man. Felt kind of bad. Not enough to stop doing it again, though.

I also met the human king and queen. Apparantly they had a secret mission for me, which was to escort some important noble. They even tried to order me to work for them. Such impudense. As you have guessed it I rejected it and never heard a thing from them anymore. Batcave or Ghost cave also has been upgraded all the useless items from the gacha I keep there. And the entrance of beast glades is also closed.

Well I think this is enough for the recall. Now let's get back to the current situation. I am currently working in my shop's branch which is located in Xyrus and I have a very peculiar customer here.

"Varay." I said.

Yes, the Varay Aurae, the future lance and ice queen. She is a frequent customer here, said we made best potions in the market and she probably doesn't know that I am the owner. Currently she is browsing through our collection of potions and asking for opinions from other employees, yes I do have employees and they are all me.

And now she is approaching me.

"I want all these." She said in her usual voice as she placed some potions on the counter.

I just nodded.

"Soo, how's training going?" I asked hoping for a small talk.

"Good."

"How is Bairon treating you?"

"Arrogantly."

"Ok." I said, feeling the awkwardness rise again.

Our relationship is complicated she comes and buys potions and barely even says a word. I don't know what to call it friendship or are we only acquaintances. Maybe I should ask her.

"Hey Varay, are we friends?"

"Why are you asking?" She replied my question with another question. And it is the longest sentence she ever said to me.

"Just answer my question." I asked again hoping for an answer.

"I don't know." She replied after thinking for atleast ten minutes.

"You don't know?" I said, exasperated.

Sigh...

And people say I don't have a personality. Anyways, I have something else to ask her.

"Varay." I said, getting serious.

She just raised an eyebrow, I'll take it as a 'what'.

I took a deep breath.

No turning back.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"

Boom. There it was. I dropped it like a mana bomb in the middle of a quiet tavern. You might be wondering why I did it and I would say what shouldn't have I done It. I mean I can atleast try, and her becoming a lance is still a thing of future. And anyways she is coming here for four years continuously that should mean something...right?

She blinked once. Then twice. Then... nothing.

Dead silence.

Not even the usual customers making fake coughs or dramatic gasps. Just my own heartbeat thundering in my ears and the faint bubbling of a stamina potion behind the counter.

"...Why?" she finally asked.

Ah yes, the classic why — not a rejection, not an acceptance. Just a single-word existential challenge.

I shrugged, keeping my voice casual. "Because I think you're interesting. And because I sell health potions, not emotional ones — so I figured I might as well be direct. Don't tell me you have someone else? Bairon, maybe."

She narrowed her eyes slightly, studying me like she was calculating my weaknesses.

"You're weird," she said bluntly.

"I've been called worse," I replied with a smirk.

For a moment, I swear — I swear — the corners of her lips twitched. A smile? Maybe? Or maybe it was a muscle spasm. Hard to tell with her.

"One condition," she finally said, sliding a pouch of coins across the counter.

I leaned in, curious. "Name it."

"It's not a date unless you can land a hit on me in a spar."

…Of course.

Of course that's what she'd say. This woman is literally the personification of ice and violence.

"Alright," I said with a grin. "But when I win, you're buying the dessert."

"Hmph."

She turned and left with her usual glide-of-intimidation, leaving behind a trail of silence and frosty tension. I swear the temperature drops every time she walks into the shop.

I watched her go, shaking my head.

So that's my life now.

Immortal, potion mogul, gacha addict, part-time ghost, and possibly — just possibly — about to go on the most dangerous date of my life.

A spar-date.

What could possibly go wrong?

CHAPTER END

A.N.

So how was the timeskip? Did I miss something? Was is too much? And what do you think about kael's flir—conversation skills? I tried to portray varay's personality as much as I could.

Do you think dating her even possible because you know....

And do you think they should become a couple even if for a short period. She is not confirmed female lead this can change in the future. And I am not even good in writing romance anyways so it would be good to not have any romance in this novel.

Enough rant, tell me what you want to see more, give ideas and your thoughts on this chapter.

Thank You.
