Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The FBI and DEA are both trying to take the case!

It wasn't just Henry who looked at Ryan with envy; even the other patrol officers did.

Emily, Charlotte, Daniel, Francis, and the others were all shocked and envious as they watched Elizabeth and Taylor.

They had already prepared themselves mentally for Taylor.

First, rumors spread within the police station that Ryan had gotten into Taylor's car. Later, during the assassination attempt, everyone in the station knew that Ryan and Taylor had been on a date.

What shocked them was Elizabeth. They could accept that Ryan and Taylor had gone on a date at sea.

But why was Elizabeth there too?

'Oh my God! Is that Olsen?'

'Why is Miss Elizabeth Olsen here?'

'Does being handsome give you free rein to do whatever you want? To date both Taylor and Elizabeth at the same time?'

'Shit! I'm a huge Olsen fan. Damn you, Ryan!'

Everyone glared at Ryan with intense hatred.

Ryan didn't care. Being glared at wouldn't kill him.

Just then, Alicia's phone rang. She answered it and furrowed her brows.

After hanging up, she said:

'F**k! The FBI and DEA know about it, and they're on their way.'

Actually, this case should have been handed over to the DEA in the first place. Any case involving drugs falls under the DEA's jurisdiction.

However, the FBI is special. It's a national law enforcement agency in the United States, and it has authority over major cases, whether it's robbery, murder, drug trafficking, or large-scale terrorist attacks targeting the homeland.

The FBI has the power to handle it!

Compared to these two agencies, the LAPD is just a local law enforcement department.

The case definitely needs to be transferred, but transferring it right after Ryan just caught them and transferring it now are completely different concepts.

Upon hearing the commander's words, Ryan said:

'Commander, can you send someone to take them back?'

Ryan didn't want them to get too involved in this case.

This is the United States. This is 500 kilograms of drugs worth millions!

And the owners of this cargo are a group of brutal drug traffickers!

Ryan doesn't believe the FBI and DEA are a sealed unit.

They won't leak today's events.

Ryan didn't just catch 500 kilograms of flour; he also eliminated ten drug traffickers who came to retrieve it!

This enmity is deep!

The other side will retaliate, and Ryan doesn't want these drug dealers to target Elizabeth and Taylor.

Facing brutal drug dealers, the security forces of celebrities are as good as nonexistent!

Because drug dealers will use the simplest and most effective methods and the bodyguards of celebrities are only armed with small handguns.

'Aleksandr, take your men and ensure they are returned safely!' Alicia ordered.

'Yes, ma'am!'

Aleksandr selected Henry and the patrol officers who had been with Ryan and requested two SWAT officers.

'You two go back safely,' Ryan said to Taylor and Elizabeth.

Seeing so many police officers, the two women weren't worried about Ryan's safety.

They naturally wanted to leave, but before they did, Taylor kissed Ryan on the cheek.

Amidst the shocked and envious stares of the police and SWAT officers present, Elizabeth also kissed Ryan on the cheek!

'Wow!'

'God! What did I just see?'

'Shit! Why wasn't I Ryan?'

'F**k! Damn it, why didn't God give me such a handsome face?'

Shocked exclamations echoed everywhere!

However, Taylor and Elizabeth, who were used to such scenes, remained completely unfazed.

Even in the United States, two top-tier celebrities being with the same man at the same time was an extremely explosive situation!

Just as Taylor and Elizabeth left, the FBI and DEA arrived.

Leading the FBI was a tall, bald man named Samuel Moore.

He was the operations director of the Los Angeles branch.

The DEA was led by a middle-aged white man who looked extremely sharp. Thomas Green is also a supervisor.

Since it involved drugs, this was a DEA case, but the FBI had meddled, and Thomas didn't have a friendly expression toward Samuel.

'Why are you FBI agents here stealing our DEA case instead of investigating those major cases?' Thomas said coldly.

Samuel chuckled, 'Don't you see all the dead bodies here? Isn't this a major case?'

Alicia watched the two men arguing and wasn't surprised at all that the FBI was trying to take the case.

In China, drugs confiscated by the police would be destroyed.

But in the United States, these drugs were like real money, so why would they destroy them all?

They destroy a portion of the inferior quality drugs each year as a formality.

The rest, of course, is sold through intermediaries to generate funds!

Otherwise, why would the FBI, which never lacks cases, bother to抢 this one?

500 kilograms of drugs worth millions—whether for the DEA or the FBI, it's a fortune!
