I was invited to dinner Today. Today, the teams came back from another c rank mission. Me and tenten meanwhile have been busy at the hospital, Assisting lady Tsunade.
After the hospital, Me and Tenten go Meet them at the Akimichi restaurant. We join in on the table , as Team Asuma and Team Kakashi were already here and have already started ordering.
Soon , Team Kurenai and Team Guy also arive.soon the stories started flowing in.
Team Asuma was sent on a diplomatic mission. Since I was going to be at the hospital, and kakashi was out on an S rank mission, Asuma decided to take on Naruto and Shino as extra backup support. Asuma was also one of the first to recognise Naruto's knucklehead genius.
Naruto was already proving to be a one man army with his kunai shadowclone jutsu and decent Taijutsu(infinite health (kyubi regen), infinite stamina (kyubi chakra), infinite will (Naruto)). His massive barage of kunai also provide wide coverage of shadows for Shikamaru to use for his Jutsu's.
Ever Shino's swarm can help Shikamaru with his Shadow Jutsu's. Since kakashi was chakra depleted in his fights against Zabuza, Shino decided to focus on him family Jutsus that buff teammates rather than attack enemies.
He can be a kilometer away from the fight, yet still extend Kakashi's sharingan time by an hour, by optimising chakraflow in kakashi. This same method will also work on too big Choji or Asuma.
Shino had come along great under kakashi. Since kakashi focused so much on teamwork, Shino and Naruto have been practicing sparing with kakashi wherever they can.
Being in the same team as Naruto has been like being a thirsty man in ocean. His bugs can absorb Naruto's infinite chakra , but the curroption from kyubi makes him loose control of his bugs .
He's been coming to training ground 0 to train with Naruto, letting his bugs try to support Naruto's chakra nature transformation training by optimising his chakraflow.
In this training, Naruto concentrates his chakra in between is two hands. He tries to concentrate the kyubi curroption in his chakra on one hand, by attracting it from the other side. This curroption is really harmful to people, but Naruto is immune to it.
Naruto then tries seperate his hand. On one hand is extremely concentrated kyubi curroption chakra, on the other hand is a chakra with much more diluted kyubi curroption.
The level of this dilution has just recently reached a level that shino's bugs could start adapting to this diluted curropt chakra without shino loosing control over the bugs. This diluted curroption even has a mutational effect in the bugs, but it's not too significant.
Shino's bugs land on his hand with purer chakra and shino uses his family jutsu to optimize Naruto's chakraflow. Naruto still has to concentrate to keep his arm free of curroption, but the bugs are a big help, as they allow him to stabely keep it active, hence practice this purification.
With them going forward with a bigger team, Shino can even use Naruto as Chakra battery and power the whole rest of the team. But Naruto actively has to be purifying his chakra to let shino do that.
This means that Shino and Naruto together, can power up a powerful ninja lika kakashi to go on indefinitely. If kakashi is not taking them with him, then he must be on a mission that's too dangerous.
But that's no problem, with same strategy, they can empower the INO-SHIKA-CHO trio too. They can even empower Asuma , Allowing him to use chakra much more freely.
Both Choji and Shikamaru benefit from this, but Ino is to weirded out by the bugs. But if she is possessing someone else's body, even she would rather be drained by bugs than be hit by Choji or Naruto to disable the body.
The teams discribed how they used some of these tactics in their recent battle. Naruto even learned a new jutsu, shadow clone jutsu.
He already knew it's lesser version, kunai shadow clone jutsu. I taught him to that jutsu, that i myself had learnt from hokage sama, to prepare for my chunin exam finals.
While for most shinobi, it is a great way to measure your chakra by seeing how many kunai you can replicate. For Naruto, the challenge was to reduce the number of kunai, without wasting any chakra.
When we started, the minimum no of kunai shadow clone he needed to make to make the jutsu work was 100. Now he can make up to 10 extra clone with efficient chakra usage. Apparently, in a close quater fight, he jump kicked a guy and used the kunai shadow clone on himself to make 10 copies of himself fly kicking the opponents.
After Asuma saw Naruto do that, he officially taught him the shadowclone and multi shadowclone jutsu. He needed to make sure Naruto didn't hurt himself experimenting any further trying to replicate that.
After that, Team Guy and Team Kurenai shared their story. They took a A rank mission. Their mission was to delliver a message in the war torn water country. I actually know more about their mission then themselves, because of my birds .
I mean the kids don't understand the geopolitics of sending the Green Beast to Mist Rebel faction to deliver the message that we have Zabuza and Executioner's blade.
Then there is the geopolitics of sending the last Uchiha to a rebel group of primarily last-of-their clan types left in the mist village.
Hinata would have been a big reveal too, but she always had her face covered. She was always running just a bit of chakra into her eyes, such that she can use her byakugan to see beyond her blinding mask.
It has taken a lot of practice and chakra controll, but now, she can use her byakugan without bulging her eye veins. It's much less capable in this version, but it has been getting stronger and stronger.
Hinata always had this lesser version active, constantly supplying chakra to her eyes. The amount supplied is so low that there is no fatigue or backlash. The constant supply had led to evolution of her byakugan, where her range and capabilities of her byakugan keep increasing.
Right now, she can not only see past her layer of mask, but also one more later of clothing without bulging her eyes to use byakugan. If she ever needs to use byakugan to its full capacity, She is alredy the best byakugan in the village, more capable than even her father.
The whole group doesn't know that hinata already saw that the rebel leader's prime bodyguard and advisor has a byakugan. It is only hidden behind an eye patch.
While team guy were Fast and strong, team Kurenai provided stealth, genjutsu and medical support. Kurenai is one of leafs prime diplomats , so she is also the face of the group.
Hinata thanks Kuranai in front of everyone for teaching her and Sasuke some genjutsu. They had not learnt a single new jutsu under Guy, focusing only on taijutsu. Guy himself could only suggest to them to master the academy three to the point of not needing hand signs .
It was Guy himself who requested kuranai to teach them some ninjutsu or genjutsu after they had mastered the academy three. She taught them genjutsu Translucence.
Genjutsu is a creative field. While ninjutsu has remaind mostly same throught ages, illusions are made to adapt to the target. Genjutsu is a path where you can't be led by a mentor, since it depends on your own creativity.
But a mentor can show you the path, even if their journey is different then yours. That's what Kurenai did with Sasuke and Hinata. She taught them a useful genjutsu and a few tips on how to create your own genjutsu or adapt one you already know for different purposes.
Kurenai demonstrated that just like Translucence can reduce presence, a creative user can use it's concept to increase their presence to pressure the enemy.
I've already used that genjutsu: killing intent ,when I threw some extra threatening kunai as a distraction against Tenten in chunin exam finals finale.
Kiba and Sakura have already been on this path of genjutsu and stealth for months now. They are even coming along great as medics.
We , as team Kurenai are even trying to learn the genjutsu Kurenai used to talk to us without speaking, basically giving us the ability to communicate without making a noise.
While they didn't see much fighting, their mission was full of tension. What the table doesn't know is that kakashi was also on a mission very close to their mission. He was particularly there to provide backup if Guy ended up needing it, but officially, he was on a classified A rank mission to assassinate a Mist Ninja.
