At the pond lake, the water was bulging larger and until it appeared its appearance, as the water rush down like a waterfall. They saw a long blue glistening body, one horn, slit eyes, and a smooth series of spikes on its back. Then Wrath eyes widen a bit of surprise.
" Tha-that is... A serpent! a spirit beast! "
" Wha--What!? "
A dumbfounded expression from both of them, the serpent keep on glaring while slithering. ' Spirit Beast' a unique type of entity which it shouldn't live in a cave, because it only live in a majestic places. Not believing what they saw, Wrath could somehow feel like the class of that spirit beast is already a Primal Beast - apower throughout the battles and meditation, which they become more powerful and also they can alter their phase form.
The ' Phase Form ' it significantly increases their prowess, in addition, they also take a small and mid appearance form, but if they were just born it will be hard for it to control, and of course every living beings or creatures can grow further and more stronger depends on their nature's, their origin and how would they make their self stronger.
As soon as Rev heard that from Wrath while in a nervous expression with a clenched fists, that made him step back once with his left leg. The serpent slithered glaring on him and started to make a big balls of water formed.
" Young Master!! Run!! "
The big ball of water rush towards Rev but with a quick response he run boosting his speed with Kirpy's attribute, and dodge it precisely. He keep on running around, rushing to the wall and jumped on it, a quick land on the big rocks as he use it for support, sticking on for a few seconds.
Then jumped, dodging more of the incoming attacks, repeating action keeps going. Wrath can only be in awe from what he was seeing because his young master is just nine years old, competing and dodging the attacks of a spirit beast that might be already in par of primal beast prowess, a stronger one and unique traits that it had, is impossible.
Still, Wrath knows that his young master can't continue on running and dodging forever, soon Rev will exhaust his stamina and essence. He could have analyze more the combat prowess of the serpent spirit beast and escape, but he doesn't have much time, because he doesn't have much profusion amount of essence.
In addition, Wrath attributes and element which were sealed too, whereas he was thinking that he is more useless than a normal monster or even Kirpy, as his young master can't still get or gain the attributes and elements from him.
Kirpy is a rare beast monster and Wrath knows that a chick can only give a little support to his young master. If only it was a matured one his young master can fully utilize the attributes and skills to use it for escaping easily, but unfortunately there is still long way for Kirpy's experience and growth.
With that speculation his young master can't survive that long and he could even be in fatal injury, but he can only watch and guide him, while putting a heavy pressure on his mouth as an express of feeling nervous, accompanied by his young master who was running and dodging.
" Young master! don't you have other element or attributes that Kirpy have? "
" Sorry, but the element that he has is wind and his attributes is to increase my agility and strength a little "
" Then can you at least summon a low level monsters for distraction? "
" Maybe... but I need to focus since I'm still beginner, but you see... I don't even know how to summon more monsters yet and I need to conserve my essence because... hm!?-- "
He suddenly stop and saw the serpent's big water balls dividing into a normal size of ball... then a rapid barrage was directed on him.
Rushed on the ground, he quickly dodge it barely.
" What the! Hng! --- "
Rev saw that his left arm skin was scraped a little, that was the water ball that hit him, he saw the emitted steam of white smoke on the big rocks that was hit. Staring at it that would be like a hot boiled water and if his whole body was hit by that, his skin would probably already in the casualty of third degree burn or if his whole body was hit he could be already dead.
" Hey! that's really a dangerous one! "
Shouted on the serpent, Rev gulped down and exhaled slightly, Wrath notices his young master's conditions and knows that he is already reaching his limit. There were no even an escape route and if Rev went back where he fell he would only entrap himself and be surely dead.
Another incoming attacks directing to Rev, he quickly move and started to run away for his life from those murder boiling water. Keeping on running while dodging from left to right, as the serpent keep on attacking, Rev saw an opportunity to jump, landing on the wall, using it as a support, from top, topsides and to the surface like a ricochet, it wasn't fast enough but he decided to confuse the eye movement of the serpent.
" !! "
The serpent flinch in surprised because it's impossible for human kid to move like that. In addition from its perspective view, it couldn't believe how the human kid can easily dodge the fast normal size of water jet that keeps on rushing towards him.
" Haa... haa.... how long do I need to do this you snake!! I didn't even do a bad thing about you, so why are you attacking me! "
As he pant, spouting words to the serpent he realized why the spirit beast serpent keeps on attacking. Rev starts to be aware on his own words, he noticed that it wasn't moving from its spot since the beginning. He inhale and exhale, gradually shows the mark of emblem on his right hand and the serpent suddenly twitch, but Rev didn't notice that small detail, as he focused his essence, he swiftly swung his right hand, below near at the serpent stomach. The body moved and curved slightly to dodge.
" That serpent... is it trying to protect something underneath? or what? "
" ? "
Wrath who was beside him can only express a quizzically look but then Rev just think it of like maybe it is the weak point of the serpent. He rushed towards it and jumped preparing both hands to attack--
" Stop "
" Wha!-- "
At surprise his essence was also exactly exhaust and fell to the pond of the lake.
" W-Wait... you can talk!? "
" It can talk!?"
" Why are you surprised too!? "
Rev was surprised, as Wrath too, but then he quickly realized that he can talk and express a mild understanding with interjection, averting his whole shadowy head away.
The voice of woman that they heard on the serpent spirit beast mouth no... it wasn't moving, because it's more like a telepathy but both of them are not hearing inside of their head, but outside like literal talking to someone face to face. Although Wrath already knew that there are beings, creatures which can do that but only someone who has high rank and confirmed that the serpent he's seeing is not just a simple one.
" Boy... are you a summoner? "
" Uh... "
Rev took a glance at Wrath, then he sigh and nodded since they stop fighting he thinks that it's better to talk, rather than continuing the fight which his young master's can't win, besides his essence was already depleted and the serpent could have already killed Rev on the spot.
Rev look up directly to the serpent and answered.
" Well... yeah, but... how do you know that? I didn't even summon a monster "
" That's because I saw your right hand that has a mark glowing earlier, although there are some edge on the mark which is not glowing the similarities whom I know keep on bugging me "
" ( That's because it's fake, as expected of someone in the caliber of primal class, but... How do I explain it... ) "
The serpent beast look at Rev's uneasy eyes and continued.
" Hmm... Don't worry I won't pry anymore, since you admitted that you are summoner. Also... it feel like your face is familiar on someone whom I know as a summoner and... as a friend five years ago "
" Oh... ( Hm? 5 years ago?... ) "
Resting his palm on the lake and pondering, he was trying to connect something and then the serpent head move to took a closer look at his face, trying to remember something.
" Wh-What? "
" Hm... nothing you really look similar from the friend that I know "
" I... I see... "
" Hehm... don't be too nervous young lad, it's not that I'll eat you "
Rev look at the serpent with worried thoughts and said,
" The--Then... why were you attacking me? "
" Hm, that was my mistake because I thought that you were one of the pursuers, that tried to kill me and steal the egg "
" Wait... egg? "
The serpent lift up something on the water right in front of Rev and saw a blue spotted egg that size similar to an ostrich. He got curious and ask.
" Why are you showing it to me? wouldn't you think that I would try snatching it? "
" Hm, you could already have done it, but I believe you can't do that since you have no strength anymore to escape nor run. Still... even if you have that courage I don't think you'll do it since I don't feel any bad intent of yours "
Rev expresses a slight flinch with repugnance, but sighs and step up then introduce his self because he doesn't seem that the serpent would attack in their conversation.
" By the way I'm Rev Von and the guy whom I was talking while running is Wrath one of my contracted pact "
Rev wants to make sure that he wasn't crazy talking to the air that's why he introduce Wrath who just reveal his appearance.
" Call me 'Serpt' and... Wrath it is? Is he trying to imitate the seven sins guardian of Gehenna's gate? or what? "
" Huh? No I'm the re-- "
Rev covered Wrath's mouth which he didn't want to finish his sentence and made up something, but only ridiculed him.
" Ahahaha... that's right, that's right! he really just loves myths and legends you know and you know this guy is a bit crazy "
Muffled by a hand Wrath was infuriated, the words that came out in his mouth were just jumbled. While the serpent Serpt giggled slightly like a matured woman, at that, there was a sudden tremor as small rubbles started to fall.
" Wha--What is happening "
" It seems like someone is fighting at the top of this hidden pit, that might be the leader of the grey wolves and your comrades "
Rev widened his eyes, how did she knows that I have companions, said it his thoughts but he doesn't have time to think about that, and suggested to leave immediately, since the cave might collapse sooner.
Serpt close its eyes and shake its head, it was such only short meet and exchange of few words, but to be the truth she was hurt and some of her abilities and attributes were sealed. Which means it will be hard for her to escape with them because of her size.
Before living in the cave Serpt told a story,
A loyal follower and she was trying to flee away in another place of dimension together with one more serpent, the one she respected and give resolute loyalty. A bluish skin, four majestic wings with a radiant scales, one horn, blue gleamed lines on the body, blue eyes and black slit pupil, the renowned, king of serpents.
Serpt that was hurt and who always levitate the egg safely near at her upper body, chant to make a wormhole or more likely a portal for escape route, but as her abilities were sealed by the enemy it make more harder for her to open it. Her essence was also nearing at depletion then the bluish serpent king supplied an essence for Serpt, the portal then opened widely but slowly. She was still anxious and turned her head towards the king.
The serious eyes which Serpt's trying to say that she needs to escape together with the egg that held with her.
" Your highness please... come with me... your daugh--"
" Serpt... I need you to escape right now on your own and protect my daughter and If... If you found a summoner then have it to make form a pact. Don't worry... I'm sure that my daughter will have a fated encounter from a summoner, since my wife's oracle is always correct. With that... farewell... my brave loyal knight "
