"I've never done this much work before," Lilah admitted, half laughing. 'Not in this life… not even in my last.'
Ophelia nodded.
"Well, you need to start getting used to it cause there's a lot." She said and Lilah laughed.
'Since I was always sick before,' Lilah thought. 'Bedridden thanks to paralysis, terminally ill... I thought I'd never… live like this. Like how everyone else lived.' Her hands curled against her lap. 'Even in this life, there was still restriction. But I will. I'll take advantage of this chance. I want to be strong.'
Ophelia regarded her with softened eyes.
"Lilah, were you homeschooled?'" She asked and Lilah flinched.
If Lilah said no, then her vast knowledge would be suspicious.
She was blind so she couldn't go to know schools.
"Yes," she answered calmly, hoping no one would bother to check this information out about her.
"Well, I can only say you're amazing." She said to her and Lilah smiled.
