Kael was a little worried he would not get used to Lilah at the start, but he never expected him to attack her; that was why he wasn't too worried.
And the fact that she was a kind soul was confirmed when Oscar, who was wary of outsiders, immediately rushed to her and licked her like she was a long-lost friend of his.
This made him glad.
"Tyler, your worries are void." Kael simply said to him and then went to help Lilah take Oscar off her.
