Chapter 26 - Papa is Papa?

(Disciple that is driving the carriage POV)

I could still remember that day like it was yesterday, how Elder Zen saw my humble self and felt that I was the young warrior he needed to not only drive his carriage but also protect him and miss Chuyan.

Ah~ miss Chuyan, the fairy of our sect. Even though she had wood-tier affinity, the fact that she was still taken by Elder Zen and even fought for by another elder from a different sect shows that her wood-tier affinity might likely be a front that the world used to protect her, and it was only master Zen that saw through it and chose her.

I remember when she first appeared in the sect; it was like love at first sight, even though she only stayed for a few hours. Everyone was really curious about the disciple that Elder Zen brought.

When Elder Zen came down from his immortal abode to specifically choose me to be his driver, I could still remember how my friends and other disciples looked at me with envy, and I raised my head with pride.

When we were first attacked by bandits, I mustered the courage to fight them, but their numbers overwhelmed me, and I lost. But luckily I was able to weaken them enough for miss Chuyan to defeat them.

After we had gotten to Humin village, I could not help myself from dreaming about her. That hair, those eyes that always looked like she was in love, and her voice were just so heavenly.

When we got to the road that led to Guming village and saw the people that blocked the road, I called out to master Zen who was teaching miss Chuyan inside since they looked like normal guards.

I did remember when she sat beside me when we first left; her smell filled my nostrils, and I could not get enough of it.

"Sorry, miss, we can't let you pass." The leader of the group said, before I could jump out of my seat and help miss Chuyan ask why they did not want us to pass, I saw a sight that left me not only speechless but scared.

"Barrage!"

Miss Chuyan suddenly turned into a monster.

The way she brutally killed those men made my skin crawl as I looked at what were once humans, now walking porcupines.

Their eyes pierced, the faces disfigured, and some were still screaming from the pain, holding in between their legs, making me unconsciously squeeze my legs together.

"Let's go," She said when she turned and got in the driver's seat with me.

I could not even look at her anymore, much less even try to take a sneak peek.

This was my first time not only seeing a dead body but also seeing another human being killed like that, in such a gruesome way.

When she cleared the road of the towering trees and we reached what was once Guming village, I felt my stomach churn seeing the walking tree and the white-robbed men feeding what I assume to be the villagers to these trees

I suddenly heard.

"look over there, more nourishment for my babies."

Before I could even speak, I felt a gust of wind, and looking beside me, I saw that miss Chuyan had disappeared.

"Haha, you think you can take us down on your own?" The deranged voice said as about a dozen white-cloaked individuals appeared, surrounding her.

Then a fight broke out. I did not recognize most of the techniques miss Chuyan used, but the one technique I was most scared of was the one where she would use a vine and hit in between the legs of the white-cloaked men.

"Protect your balls!" The leader said as they all backed away from her, after two of their comrades did not expect that attack and were incapacitated.

"What kind of woman are you!? Fireball !" The leader screamed as he fired a fireball at her.

To which she easily dodged and countered with an earth spike, creating the same attack as before.

"Shields!" The white-cloaked men quickly erected an air shield around themselves as they all looked at her with smug looks.

I could not see her face since she had her back to me, but she suddenly said,.

"Crack"

And the most unbelievable thing happened. Not only was it surprising that she could use wood techniques and magic, but the fact that she does not yell out her moves was also crazy.

All the men fell to the ground, clutching their manhoods in pain.

When Elder Zen came out of the carriage after the fight had ended, the monster I saw suddenly became a loving daughter as she cuddled to master Zen.

But who would have thought that master Zen was even worse? The same Elder Zen, who usually looked like the big brother that would look out for you but is also aloof, suddenly turned into an unreasonable tyrant, killing the leader and turning him into a tree and killing one of the men just because he looked handsome... Okay, I also hated him too, but still.

Yet, he gave the surviving villagers gold, put up a barrier to protect the walking tree men, and even set up an illusion.

That was not all that made me question if all I just saw was an illusion. When we got to Tang city, and entered an inn, he did not let me enter the area for servants that followed their masters but let me enter one of the rooms. He did scare me when I tried refusing at first, since that image of turning those men into trees still haunts me.

After the auction, as we were heading back to Guming village, I could not help remembering the conversations that the people who attended the auction talked about a man that bought two entire sections of the auction, totaling about two hundred and fifty million gold coins.

I did not know it was Elder Zen at that time, but when I saw miss Chuyan come out without Elder Zen, that made me guess that he was the one, and what confirmed my guess was when Elder Zen talked about how the auction house had the audacity to sell one of the diamond tier rings he made, which I never knew existed till now, since most outer disciples like me are not privy to those types of information.

When we got to Guming, I informed Elder Zen about our arrival, and he got down, telling miss Chuyan to wait. If it were before, I might have felt on cloud nine, but remembering what she really was, I could not bring myself to it.

Luckily, I had vented my frustrations on that guide back at the inn, since I feared my manhood would no longer be with me. She did look at me weirdly, though, and asked if I was a practitioner, to which I said yes, but she still looked at me like she did not believe it till I showed her some water magic. She was beautiful, but the way she looked after such an intense battle was like she was not satisfied with something. Maybe she wanted me to stay?

After waiting for a few minutes, we heard sounds of battle from inside the forest. I was already tense when the sounds quieted down, but seeing miss Chuyan being calm, I forced myself to be.

After some more minutes went by, we saw the trees part open, and we heard Elder Zen's voice.

"Come in."

I quickly drove the carriage in, and seeing the enchanting sight before me, I was shocked by its beauty.

It took some minutes, about twenty to be exact, which was surprising, because Elder Zen's voice sounded closer.

When we finally got to where Elder Zen was, I saw another sight that shocked me. There were treants standing behind master, like guards, and sitting on Elder Zen's lap were two ten-year-old girls with light green and dark green hair that looked black.

The other looked shy, while the one with light green hair looked more open and energetic.

"Papa? Whow are they?" The light green-haired girl asked Elder Zen...

Wait?

"Who is your papa?" Miss Chuyan suddenly asked, looking at the girls with shock.

"Um, papa is papa?" The light green-haired girl said, pointing at master Zen.

Elder Zen has kids!?

It can't be that he... he and the treants...
