Chapter 5 - The Oni's Arrival

With the Roster staking up Ed knew he was finally ready to lunch GCW to the world. The first thing he did was sign a network deal if 3 years with NBC sports. The lunch was set to be on 31 August 2025 with Another PPV, so for the time being he focused on Scouting more talents and providing the weekly shows for the fans so that the fanbase grows. Shanya was setting fire to the women's Devision along with Sonya and Mendy using a classic invasion Storyline. Matt Cardona was racking up wins with Tittle defenses and was contributing to the growth of the Company. Gallows and Anderson where proving their worth as single stars while also going back and forth in Tag matches. Kaito and A.O.P where still to make thier debutes. Ed had a clear picture of where he wanted to take them and how he would, so he knew it wanted time to cook up the chemistry between them.

31 August. It was time for "Dawn of carnage" PPV

The opening match was a "Deal of the year match." The match features a number of competitors vying for a coveted briefcase containing a guaranteed contract with GCW. The briefcase is suspended above the ring via a pulley system, and the first competitor to retrieve it wins the contract.

The match will feature 6 competitors. The briefcase will be suspended above the ring, and the first competitor to retrieve it will win the contract. Competitors can use ladders, tables, and other objects to reach the briefcase. Any competitor who is thrown off a ladder or table and lands on the floor will be subject to a 10-second count before being allowed to re-enter the ring. The match will end when one competitor retrieves the briefcase.

The contract guarantees the winner a spot on the GCW roster for a period of one year. The winner will receive a minimum number of matches and appearances during the contract period. The contract also includes a clause for potential title matches and other high-profile opportunities.

The participants where all Indie guys that GCW was paying for their cooperation in making the match. This included medical expenses if needed, however the winner was already decided as it was going to be Kaito Yamato who's signing was kept under wraps all this time.

The participants for this match were Brayn Keith, Aiden Prince, Ace Romero, Micheal Elgin, Minoru Suzuki and Kaito Yamato. The crowd was electric as the lights dimmed in the GCW arena, signaling the start of the "Deal of the Year" match. Six indie wrestlers, each with their own unique style and determination, made their way to the ring. The competitors included:

Bryan Keith Known for his exceptional talent and widely recognized in the US wrestling scene. Aiden Prince An active free agent with experience in various promotions

Ace Romer. Another active free agent with national exposure. Michael Elgin A seasoned veteran with experience in various promotions, including MLW and NJPW. Minoru Suzuki. A highly respected wrestler with a strong background in NJPW...amd finally. Kaito Yamato The Asian-American kid who will have become the face of WWE in the future that Ed is from.

All participants apart from Kaito where in the ring...then it happended. The Oni's entrance ,a haunting blend of traditional Japanese elements and dark, malevolent energy. The lights in the arena begin to dim, and an eerie, pulsing fog starts to rise from the ground, reminiscent of The Fiend's entrance. The sound system crackles to life, emitting a low, ominous hum that builds in intensity.

A haunting melody starts to play, incorporating traditional Japanese instruments like the shamisen or shakuhachi, blended with modern, industrial elements. The music is intense, building in power and energy as Oni's entrance approaches. Suddenly, the stage erupts in a blaze of pyrotechnics, with flames shooting up from the ground and smoke billowing through the air. The fog machines kick into high gear, creating a thick, impenetrable mist that surrounds the ring.

As the music reaches a crescendo, a figure begins to take shape in the smoke-filled darkness. Oni emerges, on his face was a menacing black oni mask, and his eyes glowing like embers. He's dressed in tattered, traditional Japanese clothing, with a black hakama and torn, sleeveless kimono. The Oni stalks through the fog, his movements deliberate and menacing. As he approaches the ring, the pyrotechnics and smoke intensify, creating a wall of flame and fog that surrounds him. The crowd is on its feet, mesmerized by the spectacle. He steps into the ring, his eyes fixed intently on his opponent. He pauses for a moment, surveying the ring and the crowd, before striking a pose, his music still pounding in the background. The fog and smoke swirl around him, adding to the dramatic effect. At that moment, everyone present or watching from home could feel the hair on their body stand up in paranoia. The Oni had arrived.

As the bell rang, the competitors charged at Kaito, each determined to claim the coveted briefcase. The match was on, but only one man would walk out with the contract. They others were booked yo make Kaito look like a serious threat so the first thing they did was combine their strengths to take him out for the time being with each hitting their respective finishers and burying him under a pile of chairs, tables and ladders.

The crowd was on the edge of their seats, knowing that the winner would secure a spot on the GCW roster for a year, complete with a minimum number of matches and appearances, as well as potential title matches and high-profile opportunities.

Meanwhile, Michael Elgin and Minoru Suzuki engaged in a fierce battle on the ring apron. Elgin delivered a series of high-impact blows, but Suzuki countered with a devastating kick. The match was heating up, with each competitor showcasing their unique skills. As the match continued, alliances were formed and broken, and the intensity level increased. Who would be the first to retrieve the briefcase and claim the coveted contract? The suspense was killing the crowd.

The match was intense, with each competitor fighting for survival. But despite the chaos, Kaito Yamato, aka The Oni, he was slolwy getting up and waiting for his moment to strike. In the 10th minute he struck. As Bryan Keith and Ace Romero climbed the ladder once again, Kaito saw his chance. With a burst of speed and agility, he leapt to his feet and charged at the duo. With a series of swift kicks and punches, he sent them crashing to the mat.

Minoru Suzuki, seeing an opportunity, tried oining forces with Kaito but he was laid out. Michael Elgin, who had been trying to climb the ladder was next.Aiden Prince tried to intervene, but Kaito was unstoppable. With a devastating oni-inspired strike, he sent Prince crashing to the mat. With the competition dwindling, Kaito turned his attention to the briefcase. He climbed the ladder with ease, his oni persona driving him forward. As he reached the top, he grabbed the briefcase and ripped it free from its pulley system. The crowd erupted as Kaito held the briefcase aloft, his oni mask gleaming with intensity. As Kaito celebrated his victory, With the contract in hand, Kaito Yamato had secured a spot on the GCW roster for a year, and the possibilities were endless.
