The Su Mo from the Fairy Tail world pondered for a moment and had to agree—it really was a shame.
"Saint George's attributes could also satisfy the ritual's requirements. But unfortunately, the only one who ever killed a rogue version of Saint George was Lady Aisha. And she's not someone we can find easily."
If most Godslayers were disasters capable of wiping out cities or countries, then Lady Aisha was more like a trans dimensional cataclysm. She couldn't fully control her Authority and was constantly jumping between different points in time. Trying to locate her was practically a myth—more difficult even than tracking down the Last King. So, she wasn't a realistic option either. Just as the group was about to wrap up their discussion, the Mist Space began to ripple again.
"Huh. A lot of visitors today," said the Su Mo from the Pokemon world with some surprise. Since their gatherings were usually small—just a few showing up at a time—even though their total number had already passed double digits, on average only four or five appeared at once. But now, six were already gathered, and someone else had just arrived, bringing the total to seven—more than half the current known versions of Su Mo. Instinctively, he didn't think it was a newcomer. After all, they'd just had a new arrival. Based on their usual rhythm, new arrivals weren't that frequent.
But the Fairy Tail Su Mo had a different opinion. "Could it be another newcomer?" He sounded unsure, just throwing out a guess.
"Another newbie so soon?" The Su Mo from the Slice of Life world wasn't particularly bothered. If a newcomer really had arrived, then that meant he'd finally graduate from the "newbie" role himself and become a proper senior. "Two newcomers at once?" Su Mo from the Index world was a bit surprised as well, though he didn't find it impossible. "I think when I first came here, it was the same—I arrived around the same time as the Pokemon world Su Mo." So, this situation wasn't unfamiliar to him.
The only strange thing was… "This new guy is being way too cautious, don't you think?"
The Index world Su Mo looked in the direction of the disturbance. It had already been a minute or two since they sensed someone had arrived, but judging by the movement, the newcomer hadn't taken a single step forward. It seemed like they had stopped the moment they entered. Now, Su Mo was a naturally cautious person, but not to this extent.
"Could it be that the newcomer's world is extremely dangerous?" guessed the Su Mo from the Ultraman world. "Something like a Lovecraftian setting, with Cthulhu whispering into your dreams?" If that were the case, then yeah—being overly cautious would be perfectly understandable.
"Very possible," nodded the DanMachi world's Su Mo, then raised his voice directly and called out:
"Hey, Su Mo the transmigrator! Come gather over here!"
"Buy one cheat power, get one free! Limited time only!" Apparently, that got the message across. Because the moment he heard that... there wasn't a hint of hesitation. The newcomer immediately began walking toward them.
"Hooked that fast, huh?" one of the Su Mo commented. As the figure stepped out of the mist and saw the crowd gathered in the plaza, he froze for a second. Then his expression lit up with excitement.
"I thought it was a scam at first—turns out it's real?" The moment he saw so many versions of himself, he instantly understood that this wasn't some trick by another race. After all, no other species would be interested in the memories of a mere human—no, a mere monkey, even. Besides, these people's outfits clearly came from other worlds. If it was an illusion, it would've had to be impossibly detailed. And the way they spoke earlier? That couldn't have come from someone who didn't know him deeply.
Hearing the newcomer's words, the DanMachi-world Su Mo couldn't help but roast him a bit. "If you thought it was suspicious, why did you come over without hesitation?!" Wasn't that inconsistent? If something seems shady, shouldn't you run the other way?
The newcomer simply shook his head. "If I really was being targeted, running wouldn't help. And even if you hadn't said that line—if you'd said anything else—I still would've come over. Even if there was only a one-percent chance this was real, it was worth the risk." His voice was calm and steady—he had clearly thought it all through beforehand. From that single answer, the Fairy Tail-world Su Mo could already tell what kind of environment this guy came from. He shook his head slightly.
"Sounds like the world you ended up in isn't too friendly."
"But hey, you've got us now. Things should get a lot better." Saying that, he gave the newcomer a friendly pat on the shoulder to complete the information sync. The other Su Mos followed suit.
"As expected, he's just an ordinary person," the DanMachi-world Su Mo commented. Although the newcomer had a certain charisma and steely determination in his eyes, he clearly didn't come from a world where he'd thrived. That much was obvious. "But… since you didn't immediately realize this was your cheat ability, your world must already have supernatural elements, right?" he deduced.
After all, if someone from a normal world suddenly arrived in a place like this, their first thought would naturally be that their cheat system had finally activated. Someone who suspected a trap instead must already be familiar with the supernatural. "Of course it does," the newcomer Su Mo nodded. "The powerful beings in my world are way too active. The whole world's basically on the brink of doomsday. It's not just that supernatural powers exist—they're basically normal at this point."
A literal apocalypse. A world where you couldn't even see the sky anymore—just dust and ash. What hope could survive in that? In such a post-apocalyptic hellscape, even knowing the source material didn't guarantee you'd survive. Su Mo was just barely holding on. But now that his cheat had finally arrived, everything was starting to change.
"So, which world did you get sent to, exactly?" asked the Index-world Su Mo, curiosity flashing in his eyes.
There weren't that many worlds with apocalyptic backdrops. And ones that were ruined by overpowered beings were even fewer. He already had a few guesses in mind, but he needed confirmation. "I ended up in the No Game No Life world," the newcomer said simply, then added, "Six thousand years ago."
The world of No Game No Life, also known as Disboard, was a place where all disputes were settled through games. Sixteen intelligent races lived under a set of strict rules that forbade killing, looting, or war. While it still had a hierarchy, the overall atmosphere was peaceful. If Su Mo had arrived in the modern timeline, he would've had no trouble using his otherworldly knowledge to build a comfortable life. Unfortunately, he hadn't arrived in the peaceful era—but six thousand years earlier, during the Great War.
At that time, gods and god-like beings were waging all-out war to seize the throne of the One True God and claim the Star Grail. They created races as tools of war, treating the planet as a chessboard and all life as disposable pawns. And humans? They were the only race not created by the gods—mere monkeys who had evolved on their own. Their place in the hierarchy? About the same as ants. Not even worth being called enemies.
To upper-tier races like the Flügel or Gigants, humans weren't even worth noticing. Even lower-tier ones like beastmen and demonias treated humans as just another animal to hunt—though admittedly not a tasty one. In such an environment, humanity should've gone extinct long ago. But somehow, they clung on, refusing to die out. The settlement where this Su Mo lived still had around three to four thousand people. That was likely the largest remaining human community in the world. And he, as their leader, had spent years leading them in the struggle for survival. That's why, when he first arrived in the Mist Space, he'd been especially cautious. As humanity's last leader, he couldn't afford to take unnecessary risks—not because he feared death, but because he carried the final hope of his species on his shoulders.
Thanks to his knowledge of the original story, he was the only one who knew how to end the war. Thankfully, this wasn't some cruel prank by a stronger race—it was his long-overdue cheat ability finally arriving. Confirming that, the newcomer Su Mo exhaled deeply in relief.
"Thank God for this cheat…" In the world of No Game No Life, humans ranked dead last among the sixteen races. Weak bodies, zero affinity with magic, and unable to connect with the spirit circuits meant they couldn't use any magic at all. Even if they gathered together in groups, they'd still be crushed by the collateral damage of battles between higher races. Su Mo himself, despite being a key leader, had been living on a knife's edge every single day.
All it would take was one wrong move—one encounter with a monster that didn't follow the usual patterns—and he'd be dead. But now, with his new power, he had finally escaped the clutches of near-certain death. Even monsters he previously had no hope of defeating, he could now face without fear. His combat power had skyrocketed to the top tiers.
Of course, that didn't make him invincible. In this world, there was still a terrifying being known as Artosh, the God of War. As the mightiest among war gods, Artosh's power far outclassed the other deities. Even with his newly acquired Tiga-Cosmic Corona form, Su Mo would still struggle if he ever had to face that monster. He also doesn't think he can win for sure. Artosh's power is enough to destroy a planet. But being able to destroy a planet is definitely not his limit.
