The child's levo grew more unstable by the second. Layer upon layer of protective barriers built by the Healers had sealed her small body inside a rigid, invisible cube, yet her wind was already leaking through the cracks, seeping out and rattling tables and chairs nearby.
The Guides kept pouring their levo inward, struggling to restrain a child who could do nothing now but scream and sob in despair. Their own desperation mirrored hers, because every effort they made felt like throwing handfuls of salt into the sea.
The situation had spiraled beyond control. If it did not end right now, everything would be blown apart.
