After I saw that Moana could become a 4-star with 6-star potential by fusing with the oar, I started thinking about the cards I had and possible fusions. And unfortunately, it seems only a special life state can be fused.
In Moana's case, she and the oar were basically a special life state that complete each other.
That's when I read more closely the one of Tow Mate. That was the definition of a special life form. He was both an item and a character. I thought of possible fusions, and the result was that he could fuse with two cards total, one being an item and the other a non-human and special character.
From the cards I had, the ones I chose were Pegasus and the Black Pearl Ship.
A fusion of three special cards. One being Hercules' mount, another a legendary ship, and last but not least, a car that was alive.
When I chose to fuse these three, I saw the three cards escape from my hand and spin in a circle.
I saw sparks fly and thought it might have failed somehow, but then, a lightning explosion burst out, followed by a shrill sound that only I seemed to hear, since Cri-Kee was indifferent to it.
When it ended, I saw a card appear.
[Trinity – (Hercules: Pegasus) + (Cars: Tow Mate) + (Pirates of the Caribbean: Black Pearl) – ★★★★☆☆]
Looking at the card in my hand that shifted from a tow truck to a horse, then to a ship, I smiled.
'Success!'
I didn't know what would happen when I summoned it, but I could imagine something like Transformers.
[Mushroom (Alice in Wonderland) – ★★]
'Right, I had this card too.'
Just like Mate, it's an item and at the same time a character.
Another card I got was: [Scarecrow's Straw Hat (The Wizard of Oz) – ★★] and [Zazu (The Lion King) – ★☆☆].
When the fusion option appeared, I clicked yes.
As not-so-special cards, so to speak, there were barely any magical effects as they fused.
I waited and then...
"Bang!"
With the sound of a balloon popping, I saw the three cards turn to ash right before my eyes.
'So... there's a chance it can fail and if it fails, I lose everything?'
This lack of explanations is what kills me.
'If I had lost Moana's card and her oar...'
My heart raced at that possibility.
I looked at Cri-Kee.
'This failure... could it also be seen as luck?'
Now that I know there's a chance of failure, there's no way I'll keep trying to fuse cards without high confidence of success.
If even losing these cards in this fusion already made me feel bad, imagine losing two 4-star cards with 5-star potential...
Shaking my head, I didn't even want to imagine that.
'Okay, let's start evolving cards.'
After doing so, I stopped after getting only two 3-star cards: [Olaf (Frozen) – ★★★] and [Scuttle (The Little Mermaid) – ★★★].
Almost all 1, 2, and 3-star cards were gone. At least the ones without potential.
I could have continued, but it would be necessary to use 3-star cards with 4- and 5-star potential, so I preferred to hold back.
And, after looking at my cards more carefully, I set aside 3.
[Ariel (The Little Mermaid) – ★★★☆☆]
[Ariel (The Little Mermaid) – ★★★★]
[Trident of Atlantica (Weakened Version) – (The Little Mermaid) – ★★★★☆]
The fusion of the three cards was possible. However, I was afraid it would fail and I would lose these three cards.
'Should I take the risk or not?'
I imagine the compatibility is higher than the one that failed before.
However, being compatible, I don't know if that gives 100% success rate in the fusion.
And, as much as I searched, I didn't see any percentage indicator of success or anything like that.
All that shows up when I put these cards together is the fusion option, asking me to choose between "Yes" or "No".
"What do you say, Cri-Kee, should I take the risk?" I asked, joking.
He made some sounds, but I didn't understand him.
With cold sweat, I decided to take the risk, even knowing that if it failed I would regret it later.
When I clicked "Yes", I regretted it instantly.
Isn't it good to have a 4-star trident with 5-star potential? Isn't it good to have two Ariels, and one even being 4-star and the other, although 3-star, with 5-star potential?
But there's no medicine for regret, I could only pray to God hoping to be lucky.
I even held Cri-Kee with both hands, closing my eyes.
A bit dramatic, I know, but knowing there was a chance of failure made me fear failure. Don't like it? Bite me!
'Haha, who am I even talking to?' I laughed at myself.
I don't even know how I managed to laugh at that moment. And when I saw an explosion of lightning even with my eyes closed, since the flash was too bright and the sound was loud to me, I opened my eyes and my heart jumped into my throat and back.
The cards that were surrounded by lightning disappeared.
"Did it fail?" I wanted to hit myself now.
However, before I got upset, in the place of the lightning and the cards that disappeared, I saw flames.
From the flames came water, and from the water, a card emerged.
'What the hell was that?' I thought, picking up the card.
[Ariel, the Mermaid Queen (The Little Mermaid) – ★★★★☆☆]
"Yes!" I ended up shouting.
Luckily, everyone was still out in the street partying.
On the card, I saw a beautiful mermaid with long wavy fire-red hair holding a trident with a gorgeous smile.
Her smile was by far the most beautiful I had ever seen.
It was a genuinely sweet smile.
Now, all the flaws she had before were gone. Besides that, although she wasn't 5 stars yet, with the trident, her power shouldn't be far from it.
Also, with the trident, she could choose whether to have legs or not.
'There are many I would like to summon now, but I only have 2 free slots.' I thought to myself: 'Which one should I summon first?'
Edna was a good option for me now. Merida too.
However, the one I most wanted to summon at the moment was "Trinity", the fusion of Pegasus, Tow Mate, and Black Pearl.
Now that I did what I wanted to do, I went out to continue celebrating with everyone.
