Her pulse jumped. "Shut up—"
He laughed, low and dark, before spinning her out—only to yank her back, her back pressed to his chest. "Or what? You'll blush harder?" he murmured to her ear. Their proximity was close, bodies pressed like lovers.
The class erupted into whistles and catcalls.
"Damn, Vesper! Stop flirting and start fighting!" someone shouted.
Blazar's face burned. She elbowed him hard—or tried to, but he disappeared fast, reappearing behind her with a chuckle. "Predictable."
She swung again, but he caught her blade between two fingers, his other hand sliding up her arm. "You're distracted." Of course she was. How can you fight someone who keeps flirting with you?
"You're insufferable," she hissed, yanking free—only to trip over his outstretched foot.
Vesper caught her before she hit the ground, one arm hooked around her waist, the other tilting her chin up. "Admit it," he murmured, lips a breath from hers. "You like this."
The class howled.
"GET A ROOM!"
