[Random Event: 'Save a Newbie Player in Dire Straits' has been completed!]
[Reward:
Caleb stood at the back, glancing at the newbie player who had rushed toward Officer Jenny. Then, he turned his gaze in the direction where Looker had left.
The Jennies of the Officer Jenny family, along with the police, filed in one after another. The Team Galactic grunts on the road had no time to report the situation before being subdued on the spot.
The police force of the Sinnoh region was highly efficient. These Officer Jennies acted swiftly and decisively.
Inside the base, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn didn't even have time to release their Pokémon before being pinned to the ground by a group of officers.
"Wrap it up!" Looker waved his hand, and several plain-clothed officers escorted the three Galactic commanders past Caleb.
Looker relaxed his expression, saying, "Now, all that's left are Cyrus in Eterna City and Charon in Oreburgh City."
Caleb gave a faint hum, watching as Garchomp and Dragonite returned to his side. He said to the two (Looker and Jenny), "Then I'll leave the rest here to you."
While there was still time, he needed to make his way to Eterna City.
"Don't worry, we'll handle things here," Officer Jenny said, taking two steps back and bowing deeply, "Thank you so much!"
"Ah, give my regards to the Champion for me!" Looker waved his hand, "See you later!"
Caleb nodded at him, then recalled Garchomp and Dragonite into their Poké Balls before turning to leave.
Suhail, who had overheard the entire conversation, watched Caleb's retreating figure with curiosity.
"Who was that?" he asked.
Looker replied, "The Champion's younger brother."
"The Champion?" Suhail's eyes widened at that, "You mean Cynthia?"
'Did Cynthia have a younger brother? I don't think so…' Suhail racked his brain, trying to recall the anime and game lore he had seen.
Looker took one look at him and guessed what he was thinking. He shrugged and said, "I find it strange too, but that's just how it is."
Suhail thought for a moment before asking, "Can you tell me his name?"
"Of course," Looker said, "His name is Caleb."
"Caleb…" Suhail couldn't help but wonder, 'Why does Cynthia's brother have such a distinctly Chinese name?'
{T/N: Remember, all the OCs in this fic have Chinese names. But for the sake of diversity, I changed a lot of them to various languages from around the world... Caleb's original Chinese name is Chen Yue. And Suhail himself is Xu Kun...}
....
Caleb found a secluded spot and directly used the Warp Beacon to teleport to the Galactic Building in Eterna City...
When he arrived, the Officer Jennies and International Police assigned to capture Cyrus were already locked in a fierce battle with him.
...
~Top floor of the Galactic Building~
Cyrus's eyes were dark and gloomy as he glared at the Officer Jenny and International Police officer before him.
Officer Jenny shouted, "Cyrus, you have nowhere left to run! Drop the Poké Ball in your hand and cease this pointless resistance!"
The corners of Cyrus's lips curled into a sinister smile as he replied, "I don't know how you found me, but it no longer matters."
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and when he opened them again, his expression had grown even more deranged.
"You'll all be coming with me!" He pulled a black detonator from his pocket.
The moment Officer Jenny saw the object, her face paled as if she had realized something terrible.
"Not good! That's a remote bomb! Stop him!"
She had seen a detonator identical to the one in Cyrus's hand during a previous case.
The memory of the devastation from that incident made a cold sweat drip down her temple.
The Galactic Building was located in the heart of Eterna City's bustling downtown. If an explosion were to occur, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Cyrus grinned wildly, "Too late! I've planted bombs throughout this entire building. Even the underground is packed with tons of explosives. Once they go off, what a spectacular sight it'll be!"
As he spoke, he raised the detonator high.
'It's over…' Officer Jenny thought in despair.
But at that moment, a clear voice rang out from above.
"Moron!"
Under the golden sunlight, a tall and swift figure descended from the sky, kicking Cyrus away with a single strike. The detonator flew out of his hand and landed right at Officer Jenny's feet.
She froze for a moment, ignoring the device on the ground as she stared intently at the backlit silhouette before her.
"Groooar!"
"Wuuu!"
Immediately after, a Dragonite and a Garchomp landed on either side of the figure.
"Who the hell are you?!" Cyrus rolled twice on the ground, swallowing a mouthful of blood as he glared furiously at the handsome young man before him.
Hearing this, Officer Jenny also turned her attention to Caleb. She, too, had no idea who this young trainer who had descended from the sky was.
But Caleb didn't answer. Instead, he strode over to Cyrus, bent down, and whispered a few words into his ear.
Then, Officer Jenny watched as Cyrus's eyes widened, his face flushing red with visible rage.
"Damn you!" Cyrus was so furious that he spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot.
Caleb immediately took two steps back, raising his hands innocently, saying, "I didn't hit him! He spat that blood out himself."
Officer Jenny burst into laughter, exhaling deeply in relief before ordering her officers to arrest Cyrus, who was now so enraged he nearly passed out.
Knowing there was no escape, Cyrus didn't resist. But as he was taken away, his eyes remained locked on Caleb with burning hatred: 'Damn bastard! Unforgivable!'
Officer Jenny looked at the young man beside her curiously, then asked, "What did you say to him?"
Caleb rubbed his nose, replying, "Nothing much. I just brought up some old stories."
Like how he had stolen the Spear Key and the Lake Trio that Team Galactic had worked so hard to obtain, completely ruining their plans.
"I see," Officer Jenny smiled, "I still don't know your name. Are you a trainer?"
Caleb nodded, checking the time before saying, "I'm Caleb, but I have to go now. I'll leave the rest to you."
Officer Jenny was taken aback, and by the time she regained her senses, the young man had already mounted Dragonite and soared into the sky...
....
The final stop was Oreburgh City...
By the time Caleb arrived, the last of Team Galactic's commanders, Charon, had been captured and sent to the police station.
Caleb didn't participate in Charon's arrest, only hearing the general details from the local Officer Jenny.
According to reports, Charon had just captured a rare Pokémon in the Oreburgh Mine and was about to return to the surface when he was ambushed by Officer Jenny waiting at the entrance.
Before Charon could react, a police Arcanine had already pounced on him, handcuffs clicking into place so fast, he had no time to resist.
With that, all four Team Galactic commanders, along with their leader, had been apprehended.
What awaited them now was the righteous judgment of the Sinnoh League.
The entire operation had taken less than three hours. When Caleb returned to Celestic Town, the clock had just struck noon...
