Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: Sudden Change

In the meeting room, Silas saw Adeline resting her chin on her hand, her legs crossed, staring blankly at her fingers.

Just as he was about to speak, Randall stopped him. "She just heard My Lord's voice and seems to have gained profound insight. She has been like this for an hour. It would be very dangerous to disturb her now."

Silas nodded and turned to look at the four people sitting in the corner, their faces blank, drool and snot running down.

"Can we get any information from them?" Silas asked.

Randall shook his head. "No, their spirits have completely collapsed. Their memories and sanity have been engulfed by fear and madness. It can be considered amnesia plus idiocy."

Silas immediately fell silent.

"We can't let them go. They have serious remnants on them. If seen by some high-level existence, it could easily bring us trouble, or even reveal something. They can't stay!"

Thinking this, Silas's eyes gradually turned cold.

His eyes slowly swept over Grimman's aged face as he said calmly, "When deciding to kill others, one must also be prepared to be killed."

Hearing this, a hint of approval flashed across Randall's face. "Then I'll take care of them!"

"Yes, it's best not to even leave their bodies behind," Silas cautioned.

Randall looked somewhat troubled upon hearing this. "I'm truly sorry about this. I have many ways to kill people, but I don't know how to do it without leaving a corpse."

Silas looked taken aback and asked curiously, "Don't you know that green flame? The kind that can burn away all human tissue?"

Randall shook his head, then said with a grave expression, "Lord Apostle, if you have seen such flames, you must be careful. That kind of flame is itself a type of Primordial Flame. Only figures at the Bishop level of the Green Flame Brotherhood are qualified to use flames of this level."

"Bishop!? A type of Primordial Flame?" Silas was stunned upon hearing this, his mind instantly reassessing Bart's position.

Randall asked, "Lord Apostle, then how should these four people be dealt with?"

Silas waved his hand. "To prevent accidents, kill them first."

Randall bowed gracefully and, with a casual wave of his hand, turned.

From his sleeves, four palm-sized, pitch-black bats flew out.

These four bats were pitch-black. If it weren't for their scarlet eyes, one might have mistaken them for black pieces of paper.

The four bats landed on the necks of the four individuals, bit gently, and then quickly flew back into Randall's sleeves.

"Is that it?" Silas looked surprised.

As soon as he finished speaking, the bodies of the four began to convulse violently. Then, their mouths opened wide, as if breathing had become very difficult.

In less than ten seconds, the four bodies went limp, motionless, and died just like that.

Silas didn't ask much, didn't even glance at them again, turned, and sat down. "I will take care of the corpses. Next, we should discuss how to deal with the remaining intruders."

Randall found the description "intruders" very appropriate.

Because this place was now My Lord's territory, anyone who entered without permission to cause trouble was an intruder.

At this moment, Adeline, beside him, seemed to suddenly sense something. She snapped back to reality, her face not looking good. "Silas, the situation is not good."

"What happened?" Silas asked urgently.

Adeline said with a grave expression, "My familiar, which I placed at the north farm, has been eliminated."

"North farm!?" Hearing this sensitive phrase, Silas's face instantly turned very ugly.

Here, a pitch-black bat flew back through a nearby crack. Randall listened for a moment, then his face became extremely angry, and he roared, "These damn bastards! I'll tear you all to pieces!"

Seeing the suddenly furious Randall, Silas quickly asked, "What happened?"

Randall took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, and said, "Those madmen from the Green Flame Brotherhood and the Apex Aether Research Institute actually started a sacrificial ritual at the north farm behind our backs!"

"What!?" Silas was greatly alarmed upon hearing this.

Randall bared his ferocious fangs, and wings full of black mist instantly appeared from under his black robe.

"My Lord's divine might must not be defiled! I will kill all these scumbags right now!" With that, Randall was about to fly out.

"Wait, don't be hasty!" Silas seemed to have sensed something too and stopped him.

Just as he finished speaking, the door of the meeting room was violently pushed open, and Helles and Bernice rushed in anxiously. "Lord Apostle, it's not good!"

Behind the two was Bart, his face grim and anxious.

Bart strode in, his pupils instantly contracting like a nail upon seeing Randall.

However, his strong psychological fortitude allowed him to recover instantly. He quickly said, "We must immediately rush to the north farm. The summoning of the Primordial Flame has already begun!"

At this moment, all of Silas's most trusted people in the entire city had arrived.

Randall stared at Bart, his tone full of threat. "You still dare to come here?"

Silas raised his hand to stop him. "Don't misunderstand. Bart is my partner. He is the person in charge sent by the Green Flame Brotherhood headquarters to stop this rebellious branch from summoning."

"There's no time to explain! Get in the carriage first. We'll talk about the details on the way!" Bart was even more anxious than Silas at this moment.

Randall spread his wings. "I don't need it. I'll go ahead!"

With that, he transformed into a wisp of black mist and disappeared.

Adeline pointed at the four corpses and asked, "What about these?"

"I'll deal with them when I get back. Let's go, quickly!" Bart said urgently.

Afterward, the group quickly boarded Bart's luxurious carriage and rushed towards the farm in the northern suburbs of the city.

Fortunately, their current location was in the northeast of the city, not far from the north farm.

Rushing through the city, it was now clear that the entire city was being stirred up by an invisible force, becoming very restless.

The usually orderly streets were now chaotic. The city police were running around in a panic, making the already congested traffic even worse.

Fortunately, Bart was very prescient and had prepared an alternative route in advance. Although the group took some detours, they still quickly headed towards the farm.

In the carriage, Silas quickly inquired about the situation.

Bart had a special sense for summoning formations. After sensing a hint of it, he quickly ran out with Helles and Bernice and, through their senses, directly found Silas here.

"The summoning has now entered the sacrificial stage. We can only stop it at this stage. Otherwise, when it reaches the descension stage, we won't have any way to stop it!" Bart's face was pale, his forehead covered in sweat.

Silas's face also didn't look too good. He turned to Adeline and asked, "The ones here should be the leaders of the Green Flame Brotherhood and the Apex Aether Research Institute, right? Why would this happen?"

Adeline sighed. "Those fellows are all desperate fanatics. I can't measure their actions by common sense."
