Kyan's Room
Kyan opened the door, humming quietly—still floating from that delicious kitchen victory.
But the moment he stepped in—
"SOFTIE!"
Ace flew across the room and tackled him with a hug so hard they nearly hit the floor.
"Ace—"
"Why did you leave me?!" Ace shouted, voice breaking. "I woke up and you were gone and— and Santi said maybe the Massimos caught you too—"
Kyan blinked, caught off guard.
Rico stood behind, arms crossed, trying not to look worried.
Dante peeked from his bunk with his blanket over his head, whispering, "I prayed, idiot. You better thank me."
Ace pulled back, still gripping Kyan's arms tightly. His eyes were glossy. "I thought you were dead."
Kyan smiled a little. "Aw… you missed me?"
Ace punched his chest lightly. "Of course I did! You're the only person here who doesn't treat me like a child. You're like—my annoying, pretty, shady sister–brother–whatever!"
