Chapter 181 - Chapter 181: The Terrifying Might Guy

Hama raised his hand, and a horde of long-dead ninja charged toward Might Guy.

A hail of ninja tools rained down like falling stars—kunai, senbon, shuriken, giant shuriken, in every conceivable shape and form.

Some of the undead ninja began weaving hand seals with both hands, unleashing ninjutsu of various chakra natures.

Fire Release, Wind Release, Water Release, Lightning Release, Ice Release... Each elemental technique tore through the air toward Might Guy.

Seeing this, Might Guy threw back his head and let out a fierce roar.

Chakra erupted violently within his body, forming a green chakra armor shield around him.

The armor bore no elemental nature, yet its power was staggering.

All kinds of ninjutsu struck the chakra-forged armor, only to dissipate into nothingness.

Hama's face turned pale as he watched.

"What kind of jutsu is this? So terrifying…"

"No wonder Konoha village is feared—it truly possesses profound hidden strength."

He didn't realize Might Guy had unleashed the Eight Gates technique. After all, techniques that harmed the user nearly as much as the enemy were ones he had never studied.

He assumed Might Guy was one of Konoha's secretly formidable experts.

In truth, Might Guy indeed was such a secret one-shot powerhouse from Konoha.

But it was Satori Hyūga who first discovered him and enhanced him using multiple methods.

Through the newly developed gene activation project, Might Guy's cellular activity had been enhanced, elevating his lifeform to a higher level.

And the originally body-damaging Eight Gates technique now became nearly harmless thanks to enhanced physical conditioning and optimization.

At this moment, Might Guy was a supreme taijutsu warrior, with an inexhaustible supply of chakra.

His only flaw lay in his rigid, unyielding mindset—he couldn't master even a single chakra nature transformation.

Because of this, Might Guy's [Eight Gates Formation] lacked any elemental enhancement.

Having blocked the first wave of attacks, Might Guy pushed off the ground, leaping toward Hama.

"Evil filth! Face my Leaf Whirlwind Kick!"

With a sharp twist of his waist, he lashed out his right leg like a whip.

Instantly, a roaring gale exploded into the sky, carving a colossal arc of energy over thirty meters long.

Still reeling, Hama stared at the gaping trench beside him, utterly terrified.

If that strike landed on a person, they'd be dead without question.

He quickly commanded his undead ninja again, sending them rushing at Might Guy.

Countless undead shinobi lunged forward, clawing at Might Guy in a frenzy, trying to rip him apart.

Yet Might Guy simply tensed his muscles and shook off the undead like insects.

"A bunch of soulless corpses? You're not even worth the effort."

Breaking free from the undead, Might Guy dashed once more toward Hama.

He darted forward like a lithe panther, throwing a crushing punch straight at Hama.

"Damn it! How can this guy's strength be so terrifying?"

Hama lifted his palm, summoning a special weapon into his hand, swinging it fiercely at Might Guy.

It was the Four-Bladed Claw—a lethal weapon forged from condensed chakra, razor-sharp and deadly.

The Four-Bladed Claw lunged at Might Guy with full force, tearing through his chakra-armor.

This unexpected outcome rekindled a glimmer of hope in Hama.

But the next moment, the claw froze mid-strike, unable to advance any further.

Right before his eyes, Guy extended two fingers and firmly gripped the blade.

"This thing's actually sharp. Almost got me."

Seeing his weapon immobilized, Hama immediately tried to retreat.

This enemy was simply too oppressive—someone who completely nullified his attacks, rendering all his techniques useless.

As Hama desperately plotted his escape, a fist surrounded by a massive arc of energy came hurtling toward him.

BOOM!

The punch smashed into Hama's shoulder blades, with an audible crack—his bones had clearly shattered.

Seeing Hama collapse motionless, Guy strode forward and grabbed him like a chicken, lifting him effortlessly in one hand.

"Intruder, you've got some guts."

"I believe you must be quite well-known outside. Unfortunately, you picked the wrong place. Umbrella Corporation isn't somewhere anyone can just waltz into."

Regaining his senses through the pain, Hama struggled against his captor, but how could he possibly resist Might Guy?

With difficulty, he spoke up and asked:

"Where are you taking me?"

"I've undergone strict conditioning. I won't spill any useful intel no matter what you do. You might as well give up."

He assumed Guy would interrogate him for information.

Guy scratched his head and replied, "Honestly, I don't know either. Boss said to lock up anyone who sneaks in."

"Once someone goes in, they never come out."

His words caused Hama to freeze, an uneasy feeling creeping up inside him.

What could Umbrella Corporation possibly want with captured ninjas? Could it be... secret experiments?

They walked for a while. Eventually, they arrived at a small, pitch-black room made entirely of metal.

Guy tossed Hama inside and cheerfully added, "Just stay here nice and quiet. Maybe one day Boss will let you out."

"And don't even think about escaping—it hasn't happened yet."

Having said that, Guy turned and left, leaving only Hama tense and isolated in the cramped chamber.

A short while later, the room gave a slight tremble and started descending.

As a Jonin, Hama instantly sensed the subtle shift.

"Underground? Could it be that Umbrella is actually located beneath the surface?"

Hama quietly calculated time and distance in his mind, a growing alarm spreading through him.

The Hokage was hiding things deeply indeed.

They were already nearly a thousand meters underground—and still going deeper.

Yes, now he pinned all the blame on Hiruzen Sarutobi.

There was no way the Third Hokage wouldn't know about such a massive underground facility. It certainly couldn't have been constructed by Satori Hyūga alone.

In Hama's mind, it had to be Hiruzen—the evil Hokage—who secretly approved these shady operations.

But in truth, he was mistaken.

For Satori Hyūga to build such an immense underground base beneath Konoha, he relied heavily on the construction skills of the ninja, but even more so on Professor Orochimaru.

As one of the Sannin operating secretly within both Anbu and Root, Orochimaru had kept the entire operation secret from his teacher, Hiruzen.

That was precisely why such a massive base could be constructed right under the nose of Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Of course, this was all due to a mole within their ranks.

After an unknown period of time, the pitch-black chamber finally stopped descending.

The metal door slowly opened, letting in a beam of light. Hama frowned and lifted his head, peering out.

Before him stood a man with long flowing hair and features so sharp and symmetrical they were strikingly perfect.

What stood out most wasn't his appearance, but his jet-black eyes, which radiated dark enchantment.

As Hama met those eyes, it felt as if his very soul had lifted from his body.

"Hama, one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja who directly serve under the Daimyo, representing the radical faction that believes the Hokage has no place in this world."
