The episode begins with Akihiko descending into the underground tunnels that once connected Edenfall to the forbidden territories of the south. Accompanied by Lirea, he descends a never-ending staircase beneath the Dry Cathedral, an abandoned ruin that was once a place of worship for the Silent Blood Mafia. There, they discover murals drawn in dried blood, chronicling the rise of a long-extinct mafia family—or so they thought.
II. The Beats of the Forbidden Echo
Deep inside, they find a circular room covered in black crystal spikes. Upon entering, the walls begin to pulse like hearts. A figure emerges: not solid, but formed from floating drops of blood. He introduces himself as Eiroth , the Eternal Heartbeat , a symbiotic specter that survives through the genetic memory of the Mafia bloodline.
III. The Challenge of Blood-Memory
Eiroth issues a challenge: to get answers, Akihiko must dive into the Blood-Memory , a ritual where he will live a full life as a member of the ancient mafia. Upon accepting, he falls into a vision where he no longer remembers who he is and becomes Kael , the heir to the Silent Bloods.
IV. The False Mafia Life
As Kael, he lives a life of betrayal, broken alliances, and clan warfare. He learns cruel techniques like the "Reversed Tear," a skill that channels pain into slashing attacks. In this alternate life, he murders allies, leads attacks, and slowly becomes corrupted… until a girl named Lirea appears, reminding him of something he'd forgotten.
V. Rupture of the Parasitic Memory
Akihiko, from within Kael, begins to break the illusion. The vision collapses, and Eiroth disintegrates into fragments of black blood. Upon returning to the present, the hall is empty, but Akihiko's Void pulses with a new frequency: he has absorbed the Reversed Tear technique .
VI. Confrontation in the Oath Chamber
Lirea finds a hidden chamber with 12 names carved in stone: the Blood Judges, former Mafia leaders. One of them, Maerith , returns from the shadows. She's alive, preserved by a blood pact. She confronts Lirea in combat.
VII. The Dance of Bones and Memories
Maerith fights by summoning the skeletons of past traitors and using attacks that evoke ancient sins. Lirea, overwhelmed, manages to use her "Reflective Resonance" to reflect back to him one of his worst decisions: betraying his own son for power. This leaves him vulnerable.
VIII. The Judgment of the Last Silence
Akihiko appears and, together with Lirea, they execute a new combined technique: Judgment of the Last Silence , which uses the Void to seal not only the body, but Maerith's criminal legacy. What remains of it turns into memory ash.
IX. Revelation of the Blood Archive
In the central chamber, they discover a hidden archive containing documents from all the ancient mafias. There is a warning: "Whoever awakens the Kingdom of Silent Blood will unleash the Herald of the End of the Bloodline."
X. The Return at Dawn
Upon returning to the surface, the sky has a new color. Lirea, tired, asks if what they did was right. Akihiko doesn't answer. He just watches as a shadow takes shape among the clouds.
