Chapter 167 - Chapter 168: I Really Need to Whip You Up!

A white divine light illuminated the entire Great Hall, and the spearhead was then stained with a hint of bright yellow.

  "Swish!"

With the roar of a sharp arrow, the crown lying quietly on the ground instantly exploded—and then, before Harry's horrified gaze, it was restored to its original state.

"This is your signature spell, isn't it? I was about to say last time, have you improved it?" Dumbledore gently suggested. "You have indeed broken its defenses, but only continuous attacks can completely destroy the Horcrux."

Damon didn't rush to respond, and immediately recited the second spell:

  "Sagitta Divinus - Dispello."

The dazzling scarlet divine spear appeared, followed closely by the bright yellow demon-breaking divine spear!

A strange tearing sound rang out, like a sharp blade slicing through paper. A straight gaping hole immediately appeared, constantly expanding, and bleeding continued.

Harry's pupils widened as he watched the Ravenclaw Diadem ooze a continuous stream of crimson blood.

This bizarre sight, combined with the sacredness of the diadem, overwhelmed him, leaving him unable to think. He couldn't even tell if it was Damon's cloaking of his mind, or if he was truly terrified beyond words .

  Ah!!

  ...

"What are you worried about? Teacher, don't be so hasty to abdicate—something has clearly happened with Voldemort, and you need to find out."I will," Dumbledore said, his expression serious, yet he felt relieved.

Seven Horcruxes, and in such a short time, Damon had already found and destroyed two. Could he be the true savior?

"Harry, you see, this is a Horcrux, an extremely evil artifact, one of Voldemort's seven souls—Voldemort was extremely arrogant and conceited, believing that only objects worthy of his worth could be made into Horcruxes.

Therefore, the objects he used to make Horcruxes were extremely precious or held special significance."

"As for your situation, there's no need to be too anxious—because if we don't find all the Horcruxes, destroying a single one wouldn't make much sense—even if they were to kill you, they would definitely save you for last."

"Ha!" Harry looked at Damon sheepishly, feeling that this reassurance was completely ineffective.

"And don't worry, my teacher and I have a different opinion - in my opinion, Voldemort does not pose a big threat, and it is even more impossible for him to defeat you who has already defeated him once. You should have confidence in yourself."

Damon patted Harry's shoulder, "Study the brain block technique well, control your own thoughts, and let the fragments of Voldemort know who is the master of the body."   "Dumbledore and I will also find a way for you - in fact, I already have a vague idea, but it is not perfect yet, so don't worry too much."   Harry's expression eased.

"Let's go, let's change places. From today on, I will officially start teaching you the brain block technique - this is an extremely difficult magic. It will be very difficult to master it with your current magical attainments. Be mentally prepared."

Harry is not afraid of hardships, but he is afraid that difficulties cannot be solved.

Now that Damon has given him the guidance, he has almost no hesitation and nodded decisively.

 Dumbledore spoke at this time:

"You teaching him? Wouldn't that be too taxing on you? It would be better to hand it over to Snape. After all—"

Dumbledore sincerely believed that Snape was a better choice than Damon.

"Professor Snape is already busy enough teaching two courses. I don't think it's necessary to push him any further."

"I think he can handle it," Dumbledore insisted.

He was worried—teaching Occlumency was a dangerous undertaking, not to mention that it involved Voldemort's soul—that if something went wrong with Damon while teaching Harry Occlumency, Dumbledore would prefer Snape to be the one to do it.

In his mind, Damon's priority now completely surpassed Harry's—Dumbledore began to believe that Damon would replace Harry and become the ultimate trump card in Voldemort's destruction.

"Have you forgotten about Snape and Harry? Professor, they'll fight."

"Hmm—there's really nothing we can do?"

  Dumbledore said, feeling troubled.

Harry listened to the two men's discussion about him and discerned a tendency in Dumbledore's words—Dumbledore wanted Snape to teach him.

  Why?

Oh, Damon had said that Snape was an expert in Occlumency, and even Damon had originally studied with Snape—he wasn't bad, was he?

"I think I could learn from Professor Snape—I don't dislike him so much now."

  Dislike?

Dumbledore turned his head abruptly, realizing belatedly—it seemed he shouldn't have mixed two incompatible people.

But he really didn't want to risk Damon—"How about I teach you, Harry?"

Dumbledore decided to do it himself.

Harry looked at Damon, asking for his opinion.

"It's all right, actually. One of us will take care of the internal affairs, the other the external affairs—since you teach Harry, I'll investigate what happened to Voldemort."

Dumbledore was even more reluctant. He had actually discovered many clues recently and was about to visit the Gaunt mansion to take a look—Dumbledore would rather do it himself than let Damon take risks.

".Can't we really consider letting Snape teach Harry?"

"Professor, this is not a joke. The soul fragments in Harry must be contained, which means he must master the art of Occlumency - is there any point in starting a teaching that is likely to be abandoned halfway?"

  Dumbledore retreated.

He decided to add more burdens to himself - he would teach Harry the art of Occlumency, but at the same time, he and Damon would go out together to look for clues - this was the biggest concession he could make.

"It seems that my wish to retire and teach in peace will be postponed indefinitely."

Dumbledore chuckled at the two of them, trying to ease the current atmosphere with a joke.

"Now I have to talk about you, Professor."

"Nicolas Flamel participated in the battle against Grindelwald when he was over five hundred years old. You are only over a hundred years old now. It is

time for you to work hard. Why do you always think about retirement?"
