The hunter... that's who he was. Hunting the beast was second nature to him. And hunting other hunters... Well, that came with the job too.
So why was this place so... weird? Taking a chalice and ending up in this place was definitely not on his check list, but this? Eh, the hunter was getting used to being kidnaped at this point.
The hunter calmly took in his surroundings before noticing he was in a forest and he could feel undead in the area.
A little girl screams, causing the hunter to naturally make his way there. He saw a girl around the age of twelve running away from the dead.
The hunter with a calm step, appeared behind the walkers and dispatched them quickly with a simple slice of his blades of mercy. The girl tripped and looked at the hunter.
The hunter felt her heartbeat begin pumping faster, her hands grasping the bear in her hand as she stared at the hunter in fear.
The hunter put his blades away and looked at the girl before holding out his hand. While he couldn't speak, he was always fond of children.
"Can... can you help find my mom," the girl stuttered as she took the man's hand, tears streaming down her eyes.
The hunter smiled calmly, the hunter listened out for any footsteps that could be heard in the distance, but found none.
"The highway. That's where she is," the girls said as she dragged the hunter north.
The hunter followed the small girl as she dragged him by his hand.
As the duo walked, the hunter kept aware of their surroundings to make sure none of those undead beings could sneak up on them, or be near them.
"Look look," Sophia said as she dragged the hunter to a car that had supplies.
[Sophia stays here. We will come back every day]
The hunter read the message, before looking around, he didn't feel any humans, only walkers.
"She was here," Sophia said as she continued.
The hunter placed a finger to his mouth, showing the importance of silence. She was but a child, he understood. But even so, survival skills were always taught harshly.
The hunter took her to... whatever these metal contraptions were and let her inside, that would inevitably keep her safe. The hunter meanwhile took refuge on a nearby truck watching the night.
He saw shadows playing around the forecast edges, he could feel something out there, definitely human out there.
The hunter got down from the truck, and disappeared behind a car. The hunters footsteps were always silent, so after making sure Sophia was covered, and out of sight of walkers. He entered the forest.
The hunter took to the trees as he observed the group of men. He knew from a glance these were horrible people. Their souls spoke for themselves.
But there were too many people at the moment so he stayed in the shadows and when a group was formed and they left their camp, obviously the hunter followed.
"As I was saying. There was a campsite nearby. Looked like a group of three," one of the men said.
The men laughed before walking towards a fire that was in the distance. The smoke making it visible there was survivors.
"Well well we'll, what do we have here?" The big man said, clearly the leader of the group.
The group had weapons drawn and pointed at a father and two daughters, who immediately panicked and the father was hit in the back with the butt of an assault rifle, causing him to fall over as he watched the men grab his daughter about to rip his precious daughter's clothes.
A bag was tossed into the group before a boom happened causing the area to be covered in a man made flour bomb, causing Visibility to be extremely poor.
"Help," the sounds of cries were heard from around the family. The smoke dissipated only to reveal corpses of dozens of men, the ones that tried to harm the family laid on the floor.
Their eyes were wide and terrified, as if dying to some inexplicable monster. The wounds were swift, but brutal. Going for the kill, but causing the most pain possible.
"Thank you " a poor father was spared a horrible fate, as he hugged his daughters.
The hunter returned to the camp, and killed everyone, their screams never to be heard again. The group that inhabited this area, a bunch of bandits, died because of one hunter taking a night stroll.
"And that's why jelly goes with peanut butter," the hunter listened to the chatterbox who was sitting on the hood of the car as the hunter made her a sandwich.
The hunter nearly nodded as if understanding why this girl was so determined to spread on the peanut butter and jelly sandwich religion.
The hunter crossed his arms as he noticed a bigger and taller mechanical creature coming his way, but judging by the way that Sophia jumped up excitedly, she obviously knew them.
"Sophia," the hunter watched as the older lady hugged her daughter. And Sophia hugged her back, but seconds later started crying.
"I was so scared," Sophia cried as she hugged her mother.
"But he saved me," Sophia said, pointing to the hunter as she sniffed in her cries.
Now seeing a person dressed... fashionably old, but dangerous had several eyes turn to the hunter.
"..." the hunter couldn't say anything, but only nodded his head.
The tall man in a Grey shirt approached him and held out his hand. As if evaluating him.
"Rick grimms. I appreciate you saving one of ours," he said.
The hunter shook the man's hand, but made no comment, because he couldn't.
"He can't talk," Sophia said.
The hunter merely smiled before giving a bow before turning and walking into the distance towards Atlanta.
He had been called for a hunt. And who was he to deny a blessing?
