Chapter 26 - The Rampaging Tauros! Little Snorlax’s New Move! That Was Almost the End!

Sensing its trainer's joyful mood, Little Snorlax's big mouth curved into a slight grin, revealing two lower fangs. Its smile brimmed with confidence and a touch of pride.

Although it didn't quite understand why it had suddenly grown stronger, it figured it must be thanks to Lovy's love, the generous feeding, and its own diligent mealtimes!

Yes! To not let Lovy down, Little Snorlax must eat even more diligently from now on!

If Lovy could hear its inner thoughts, he would probably be both amused and exasperated. But really, what kind of bad intentions could a Pokémon whose whole world revolves around eating possibly have?

"Grrruuumble!"

Hearing the thunder-like growl of Little Snorlax's stomach, Lovy looked at it with fond affection.

"Aiya, hungry again already, Little Snorlax? Time to feed you... but first, finish the snacks stashed under your armpit!"

Little Snorlax paused in a daze, then suddenly remembered something, lifted its arm, and pulled out a handful of Pokémon kibble.

Still warm and delicious?

Well, it shoved the whole handful straight into its mouth and swallowed without even chewing.

"My online order of Pokémon food already arrived? That was fast. We'll go pick it up from the Dudu Courier Station later—otherwise, there'll be nothing left to feed you. Buying locally is just too expensive. Wait, let me place another order..."

Lovy scrolled through his phone, mumbling to Little Snorlax.

After sitting for so long during his livestream, his neck and back were sore—he needed to stretch a bit anyway.

"Mmmph!"

Little Snorlax nodded energetically, looking so well-behaved and earnest that it was impossible not to adore it.

Working hard and living simply like this—it might seem plain, but to Lovy, it was precious.

On the way to the Dudu Courier Station, Lovy walked side by side with Little Snorlax, still basking in the warmth of a peaceful life.

At a street corner, something came barreling toward them at an astonishing speed.

"Watch out! Move!"

At the shouted warning, Lovy looked up sharply—to see a rampaging Tauros charging straight at him!

"Are you kidding me?! What do you want me to do, teleport?!"

A Tauros charging at full speed was no slower than a car going 80 km/h. If he got hit, it wouldn't just be a bruise—it could mean serious injury or worse!

"Seriously?! I just crossed into this world, and now I'm gonna die already?!"

Just as Lovy found himself unable to dodge in time, a black blur launched forward in a burst of speed to shield him.

"Ka-nnngh!"

Little Snorlax growled with fury and determination.

As long as Little Snorlax was there, it would never, ever let any harm come to its trainer!

Tauros is a Normal-type rampaging bull Pokémon.

It's one of the rare species without evolutions—once it reaches adulthood, it's already at its peak.

Tauros has a base stat total of 490, rated A-class for gatekeeping roles.

For comparison, Charizard—the final evolution of Charmander—has a stat total of 540. So the difference isn't massive!

Once a Tauros starts running wild, it doesn't stop until it hits something.

Its three tails constantly whip at its own body—a method it uses to pump itself up.

That shows just how violently insane this Pokémon can be—so hyped it even beats itself up!

This particular Tauros wasn't even fully grown, but still incredibly dangerous.

Especially its large, sharp, metallic-looking horns—those could inflict serious wounds!

Faced with such terrifying force, Little Snorlax didn't hesitate for even a second.

For the lonely Little Snorlax, Lovy was its everything—its only family. If Lovy got hurt—or worse, left it—it would never forgive itself.

Usually, Little Snorlax was slow and silly, spending its days eating and napping. Even if you hit it, it wouldn't get angry easily.

But now, someone was trying to hurt its trainer. It was truly angry.

Deep within, that pure emotion rose to the surface—unfiltered and powerful.

Even though it had never fought before, and even though Tauros was clearly bigger, stronger, and more muscular—

It would not back down. Not a single step.

Because the best trainer in the world was standing right behind it.

"Little Snorlax!"

In that moment, a jolt shot down Lovy's spine like electricity. His whole body tensed up.

But it all happened so fast—he couldn't do anything, not even react.

Bystanders nearby were shocked—some even covered their eyes, unable to bear witnessing what seemed like certain disaster.

In the Pokémon world, accidents caused by Pokémon were just as common as car crashes—sometimes even worse.

Cars are useful tools—they can transport or kill.

And Pokémon, with their supernatural powers, could be even more dangerous.

Everyone expected Little Snorlax to be critically injured—or even die.

But something completely unexpected happened!

Little Snorlax suddenly curled up into a tight ball. A layer of gray-blue energy swirled over its surface like a protective membrane.

Boom!

In the next instant, Tauros collided with the ball that was Little Snorlax.

The impact between them roared louder than anything else nearby.

Tauros was tough, yes, but a full-grown one only weighed a little under 200 pounds.

In terms of weight, Little Snorlax wasn't at a disadvantage—maybe not muscle, but it had bulk!

Whether fat or muscle, that mass counted—and thanks to it, Little Snorlax didn't get knocked back too badly.

The force sent both of them flying in opposite directions.

"Little Snorlax!"

Lovy rushed forward to catch it—only to nearly break his arms! Quickly shifting his posture, he used his whole body to absorb the impact.

They skidded to a stop only when he slammed into a wall behind him.

His chest felt like it had been hammered—his insides were a mess. But he didn't care. He immediately checked on Little Snorlax's condition.

"Huh?"

He expected it to be bloodied and broken.

But all he saw were two puncture wounds on Little Snorlax's forearms—where Tauros's horns had struck.

Lovy was shocked. He was heartbroken over the injury, but under such a brutal hit, it was miraculous that Little Snorlax only suffered that much.

He didn't know whether to cry or laugh!

"Wait! That technique just now—was it…"

Using his appraisal ability, Lovy quickly scanned Little Snorlax—and sure enough, a new skill had appeared on its panel!

But there was no time to celebrate or study the move.

All Lovy cared about now was treating Little Snorlax's injuries.

Its current status read: [Injured, Scared, Worried]

"Little Snorlax, thank you for protecting me. Don't be afraid—it's okay now. We're both safe. I'll buy you all the delicious food you want, and these wounds will heal up in no time!"

Lovy held Little Snorlax close, gently rubbing its large bunny-like ears to comfort it.

"Can you still stand? I'll take you to the Pokémon Center right now…"

Just then, Tauros's trainer rushed over. After checking on his own Pokémon and recalling it into its Pokéball, he ran up to Lovy, flustered.

"I'm sorry! I'm really sorry! It's my fault for not controlling my Tauros!"

Lovy had no patience for him.

That bull nearly killed him—and hurt Little Snorlax. What was there to talk about?

"Good. You need to report this to the Pokémon Center right now. Explain what happened, and take full responsibility. Whatever fines or punishments come—deal with it."

Lovy didn't want to extort him. He just wanted justice.

Tauros are banned from being released in cities. Their Pokéballs must be equipped with proper containment features.

By law, the man was facing at least 3 days of detention and a 1,000 yuan fine.

Both Tauros and its Pokéball would be subjected to safety inspections. If anything failed, disposal would follow.

"Hey man, how about I pay you more compensation and we don't report this? Let's just… resolve it privately—no need to make it a big deal…"

"No."

Lovy cut him off coldly. "If this had hit a person, or if Little Snorlax was more seriously hurt, you'd be screwed. You need to be punished and taught a lesson!"

Yes, Lovy was short on money—but he knew people like this had to be disciplined, or they'd cause more trouble later.

"I understand… It's my fault. I'll take whatever comes. But can I beg you—please sign a statement of forgiveness? Help reduce my sentence? I have some medicine here. Let me help your Pokémon first."

Seeing the man's genuinely remorseful attitude, Lovy reluctantly nodded.

Soon, the Pokémon Center staff arrived, took a statement, and brought the man in for further processing.

Lovy signed the forgiveness form as promised.

The man gave Lovy 1,000 yuan in compensation, and covered all of Little Snorlax's medical check-ups and treatments.
