Miles away, in the Blood Moon pack, which has basically turned into Alia's territory, Rhiannon crept through the darkened corridors of the pack house. She'd watched Alia grow more and more power-hungry with each passing day, more unstable and more dangerous.
The moonstone had to be stopped. And if Alia wasn't ready to give it up, Rhiannon was ready to take it from her and save her brother.
She found the stone, pulsing with dark energy, on a pedestal in Alia's private chambers. Her hand reached out, trembling.
"What do you think you're doing?" Alia's voice broke the silence.
Rhiannon spun around. "Alia, I can explain…"
"You're trying to steal from me," Alia didn't ask; she simply stated it like a fact, her eyes glowing with the moonstone's power. "My best friend. My most trusted ally. And you dare think to betray me?"
