Chapter 269 - Chapter 269: Obito’s Wrath upon Iwagakure

[Boom—]

Just as Deidara and Kurotsuchi were arguing and heading toward the Tsuchikage's office, a sudden explosion erupted from that very direction.

Both of them froze on the spot. Not just them—every Iwa ninja around instinctively looked up toward the distance.

"What's that…"

Everyone was stunned—for the Tsuchikage's building had suddenly collapsed at that very moment.

A massive chakra giant was standing atop the ruins, while Ōnoki had already taken to the sky!

[Boom—]

The chakra giant launched an attack in an instant. A long blade of condensed chakra appeared in its hand as it slashed wildly toward Ōnoki.

Fragments of rock scattered in all directions, dust billowed endlessly, and the Tsuchikage's office crumbled away in silence.

"What's going on?"

"What happened?"

"Damn it! Someone's attacking Iwagakure?!"

The Iwa ninjas were all dumbfounded, but they quickly began to react.

Still, this kind of situation was far too alien to them—they had never imagined they'd encounter something like this themselves!

"Damn it, something like this actually happened… unbelievable…"

Deidara was momentarily at a loss, but then his eyes began to shine.

"Exciting… and infuriating, hm."

"What are you talking about?"

Kurotsuchi didn't catch his words clearly, but Deidara was already standing up.

"All personnel, evacuate the crowd immediately—especially civilians! Don't let them stay there. Kurotsuchi, you're in charge of this matter, hm!"

"Ah?"

Kurotsuchi froze for a moment, but the surrounding Iwa ninjas immediately shouted in unison.

"Yes!"

"I'll leave this place to you. I'm going to reinforce the old man."

Deidara didn't mind that Kurotsuchi was still a bit dazed and continued speaking.

"Konoha handled it really well that time. I believe in you, Kurotsuchi, hm!"

As he spoke, Deidara had already summoned a clay bird. Stepping onto it, he soared away in an instant toward the distance.

Only the quickly assembling Iwa ninjas and Kurotsuchi—who stood watching Deidara's departing figure—remained behind.

"To think he's changed so much…"

Kurotsuchi murmured softly, her gaze carrying an indescribable feeling. But at that moment, a Jōnin from Iwagakure ran over.

"Kurotsuchi-sama, Deidara-sama has left this area to you. What should we do now?"

"Immediately organize personnel to evacuate all non-combatants, as well as the children in the academy and the recently graduated Genin."

Kurotsuchi no longer looked toward Deidara. Taking a deep breath, she spoke firmly.

"Three years ago, when Konoha was attacked, we already anticipated that such a day might come."

"We've rehearsed this scenario many times—follow the plan, and everyone move out immediately!"

"Yes!"

That Iwa Jōnin nodded. The attack on Konoha back then had indeed served as a warning to all of them.

Thus, whether in Iwagakure or Kirigakure, similar preparations had been made. It was just that no one had expected this day would truly arrive.

[Boom—]

[Boom—]

[Boom—]

The Iwa ninjas began their swift evacuation. The battle between Ōnoki and Deidara had thrown the entire village into constant rumbling.

And upon a nearby mountain peak, watching everything below, Uchiha Madara sat with interest.

"Looks like they're having quite a bit of fun."

Watching Uchiha Obito's performance, a faintly strange expression appeared on his face.

"It seems the Power of All Creation is indeed manifesting within him. This guy really is peculiar—how did he obtain that power?"

Uchiha Madara couldn't quite figure it out, but he couldn't be bothered to think any further. Whether Uchiha Obito had grown stronger or not held little meaning to him.

If he wanted to deal with that brat, he always had a way. Tilting his head, he looked at the two figures in the sky with mild curiosity.

"That brat of Both Scales seems to have improved somewhat. And he's even trained a decent successor."

He was well aware of the power of Dust Release—though he wasn't afraid of it, he also understood perfectly just how formidable it was.

He truly hadn't expected that this technique would be passed down and inherited by others.

"But this is getting a bit interesting. I wonder if that brat Obito can handle it."

Uchiha Madara's face was full of amusement. He actually wanted to see just how far that brat Obito could push the Power of All Creation.

Obito, of course, had no idea what Uchiha Madara was thinking. At this moment, he was fully focused on dealing with Ōnoki and Deidara's assault.

The constant explosions and the overflowing chakra instantly destroyed everything around them.

However, the impact on them wasn't too great—what made things troublesome was that he had to manage offense and defense simultaneously while using Kamui.

'And the fact that both of them can fly—that's the most annoying part.'

As he pondered, he suddenly caught an opening left by Ōnoki, and his Susanoo swung its blade in an instant.

"Hm?"

However, just as he struck, he suddenly sensed something.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

All of a sudden, a pillar of light crashed down from behind him, smashing heavily onto the Susanoo that covered his body.

The raging power of Dust Release instantly shattered and collapsed his Susanoo; in just the blink of an eye, it was completely destroyed!

"Well done, Deidara!"

Seeing this, Ōnoki immediately brightened in spirit, though Deidara still wore his usual playful grin.

"Old man, looks like without me, you're not doing so great, hm."

Ōnoki's expression darkened slightly, but he couldn't argue against it.

Handling Uchiha Obito alone was indeed troublesome—not because his own abilities were lacking.

His Dust Release could directly pulverize Obito's Susanoo, and he even understood the nature of Obito's technique.

But the combination of Susanoo and Kamui meant he only had a chance to strike when that guy made a move—and the "startup" time of Dust Release was somewhat long.

Without Deidara's coordination, he might not have succeeded.

"Cut the chatter. That guy's not dead yet—and his ability really is a lifesaver."

Taking a deep breath, he turned to look at Obito.

"Next time, don't give him any opening at all!"

"Actually, Gen once mentioned a way to deal with someone like him. I think it fits perfectly."

Deidara raised an eyebrow, looking eager and excited.

"Gen said that to deal with someone who uses spatial abilities like this, all you have to do is keep creating massive explosions around him—sustain it for over ten minutes, and then he'll—"

"Shut up!"

Hearing that, Ōnoki couldn't take it anymore.

"Do you want to destroy our entire village, idiot?"

"You're still worried about this village?"

But just as they were speaking, Obito's voice rang out as well.

"Dust Release truly lives up to its name as a Kekkei Tōta. It's quite dangerous indeed. Looks like I'll have to get serious."

"Tch. No wonder Gen called you a lunatic, hm."

Deidara raised an eyebrow and snorted disdainfully, while Ōnoki glared furiously at Obito.

"You think you're someone special—Uchiha Madara? Today, you will die here!"

"Hmph, even if Kitagawa Gen himself came, I wouldn't be afraid."

Upon hearing Kitagawa Gen's name, Uchiha Obito's fist clenched slightly, but soon he shook his head with disdain.

"Besides, who's to say that I'm inferior to Uchiha Madara?"

As Obito sneered coldly, blue chakra once again ignited around his body. That chakra kept erupting, expanding without limit.

In the next instant, his Susanoo re-formed, towering several hundred meters high!

Wings unfurled, ending in two massive hands; armor of a war god covered its entire body, and its face was as ferocious and demonic as an Asura.

Uchiha Obito stood within the rhombus-shaped chakra space on its forehead, his arms crossed as he stared indifferently at the two of them.

In the next moment, Susanoo swung its blade, that violent power as if to annihilate the world!

The earth roared; Deidara and Ōnoki dodged at the same time, and under the immense force, two mountain peaks were sliced apart simultaneously.

The cuts were perfectly smooth, and with a thunderous crash, the peaks fell to the ground, triggering a minor earthquake.

"Ōnoki, I heard you once met Uchiha Madara."

Obito's icy voice rang out amid the deafening rumble.

"So how do I compare now?"

"This is…"

Cold sweat streamed down Ōnoki's face; he had never imagined that Uchiha Obito could be this powerful.

"Tch, that guy…"

At this moment, even Deidara stopped joking—this was the first time he'd felt such immense pressure.

When he went to Kumogakure before, there had indeed been pressure too, but Kitagawa Gen had handled everything.

Now, facing such a monster head-on, he couldn't help but feel a chill run through his heart.

"Oh?"

In the distance, Uchiha Madara's body slowly regenerated—after all, the blade of Susanoo had slashed right through where he'd been standing!

He hadn't dodged at all, being an Edo Tensei body, and he had wanted to test Obito's strength anyway.

"Didn't expect that kind of power. That kid actually managed to use Susanoo to this extent?"

Uchiha Madara raised an eyebrow; he was genuinely surprised now.

But at that very moment, a gigantic pure-white beast—like a cross between a dolphin and a horse—appeared with a roar, letting him know their target had arrived.

"So it's only the Five-Tails? The Four-Tails seems to be nowhere in sight. Whatever—let's deal with this beast first."

[Whoosh—]

However, just as he was thinking that, he suddenly sensed a kunai speeding toward him.

He raised an eyebrow and casually caught it in one hand—but in the very next instant, a figure appeared before him.

"Flying Thunder God? So, Konoha's here?"

Uchiha Madara sneered with disdain—but the instant he saw the man's face, that disdain froze completely.

"Izuna?! Impossible!"
