Chapter 13 - Prologue

Crystal Trilogy – Part I

Castle of Lumania – Volume II

PhantombornWritten by: Ilyas Moulaty

"Before justice or injustice, there was a boy…One from whom nothing was expected. His name was never spoken in noble halls—Neither a hero, nor an heir, nor a harbinger of doom.

He was… a shadow.

Absent while present. Present while absent.

But time forgets none,And fate abandons not the one meant to rise from dust.

This volume is not about the tyrant,But about the boy who came before—The child no one wished to see.

The one who cannot be ignored.

Kalidor… before he had a name."

Prologue

"For the third time, she did not open her eyes—She opened a door.A crystal stirred. An ancient stone door, older than history, etched with the shadow of a name yet to be written."

In the year PK 2995, less than five years remain until the world reaches the end of its third cycle.

It is said that the Crystal sleeps for a thousand years…And wakes but once.

One awakening. One breath.A single stir, and the world shudders.

Only the Crystal stirs when it's time to return.

Five years ago, the first fragment returned to its place.

In a nameless cave at the edge of desolation,A forgotten skeleton trembled after a thousand years of stillness—Not life,But a pulse that defied natural law.

And with that movement,The First Visitor entered.

He came from nowhere. No name. No face.

But his presence was enoughFor the sun not to rise in the North.

In Darosvdaer, the frost did not melt.

In the South, winds froze mid-air—As if all seasons fought for dominance in a single day.

In the deserts of Sirenia,Spirits of kings stirred beneath the sands,Awaiting the rain to rise again.

In the North, they whisper of the Vampyr — Son of the Night.

"He was not born," they say."He was shaped… from the first shadow to fall upon snow."

In the misty West, no one knows whether the sea or the fog came first—But they all agree:The first Crystal fell here.

And with it, everything else fell.

In the East, in the ruins of Lynfael,The stones cracked.

Since that day, history is no longer written in ink.

This world is not measured by years, but by Crystal Cycles. Each cycle spans a thousand years—Until energy accumulates and a soul returns. Not all souls.Only the oldest. The deepest. The most complex.

Human… and beyond.

Now, as we near PK 3000,The Earth prepares for rebirth.

Few remember the First Cycle.Fewer still, the Second.

Most believe the world began with survival,Not memory.

But in ruins and lost temples,Forgotten texts claim:

The West was once the cradle of civilization,And the Crystal fell there first.

With its fall, time itself collapsed.

And the Crystal Calendar was born.

Since then, five eras have passed:

Era of Hidden Spirits (PK 0–1500)

The time of Lynfael's rule.

Crystals were sacred, used only for healing and prophecy.

Era of the Triple Flames (PK 1500–2000)

The rise of Vampyrs and humans.

The fall of Lynfael and the first Crystal weapon.

Era of the Silent Forge (PK 2000–2600)

The rise of the Austrahn Empire.

The first appearance of the Hybrids.

Era of the Grey Kingdoms (PK 2600–2900)

Endless wars.

Civil collapse.

Era of the Quiet Return (PK 2900–)

The Visitor returns.

The shadows whisper.

The Crystal moves again.

Amidst all of this,One name was never spoken aloud…

In the year PK 1745,A child was born to a noble Vampyr family—But he was no heir.No prophecy bore his name.

He was merely a shadow.

And shadows… do not remain still.

Slowly, he pulled strings behind the veil.

In PK 1895, doors of politics opened to him.By PK 1995,He toppled a kingdom—Not by blade,But by word.

That year,He died.

But death was not the end.

In PK 1996,He returned—

Without body, without voice…

But present nonetheless.

The world felt his shadow again,Drawing closer to something it could not name.

Now, in PK 2995,Five years remain before the Crystal awakens.

Not to remember…But to reckon.

Not to look back…But to give life.

The Old Orders do not speak of "Kalidor" as history—But as a myth.

Not a memory. But an echo that returns.

An ancient saying carved within the Cathedral of Light murmurs:

"When the Crystal opens its third eye…The reckoning begins."

The people do not know who he is.

They do not understand why he returned.

But they feel it.

Something is approaching.

Something waiting for a name to be written… once more.

Thus begins Volume II.

Not with a battle.Not with a birth.

But with a Return—From a time… that nears its end.
