Ju Zi read the response from the Heavenly Soul Empire and looked toward Huo Yuhao with a questioning expression.
Huo Yuhao shrugged. "A reasonable request."
But Ju Zi's face revealed confusion.
"But... you didn't seem to bring the captured princess and the duke's daughter with you..."
Huo Yuhao smiled faintly. "Are you sure I didn't bring them?"
Everyone in the tent exchanged puzzled glances. 'Where could he possibly have hidden them? Wasn't he alone when he arrived?'
But soon, Huo Yuhao stood up and walked to the entrance of the military tent.
Before everyone's astonished eyes, a layer of sacred gray light appeared in his eyes.
With a wave of his hand, a Gate of the Undead emerged from the void, manifesting at the tent's entrance.
"What is that...?!"
"Could it be...?"
Seeing the door, which exuded a mix of holiness and malevolence, the commanders in the tent were all shaken.
Some even jumped up from their seats, staring in disbelief at Huo Yuhao's holy, gray-filled eyes.
Even the Titled Douluo-level soul engineer commanders felt an instinctive sense of fear from the aura of the death mage.
"Bring them out," Huo Yuhao said softly to the Gate of the Undead.
Very quickly, under the escort of soldiers clad in power armor, the despairing figures of Princess Weina and Lady Mu Xue — their wrists tightly bound by soul tool shackles — were brought forth.
Huo Yuhao patted a soldier's shoulder approvingly.
"Return and stay on standby."
The soldier snapped a sharp salute.
"Yes, Commander!"
And with that, he stepped back through the Gate of the Undead, disappearing from view.
"There, now I've brought the two young ladies," Huo Yuhao said cheerfully with a snap of his fingers, causing the Gate of the Undead to vanish.
Commander of the Bear Monarch Legion gasped audibly.
"Chief Designer... what kind of power is this? A new type of spatial soul tool?"
Everyone's expressions were incredibly colorful.
'Could it be... he brought an entire army inside that bizarre gate?'
'But... that's impossible. No spatial soul tool can accommodate living beings!'
'Could it be... could it be that Huo Yuhao... or Mingde Hall, has already achieved the impossible?'
No one dared imagine that this terrifying ability came from Huo Yuhao himself. After all, in the known power systems of Douluo Continent, the only beings capable of creating independent spaces to hold the living were those who had reached the level of gods — above Limit Douluo.
And that was precisely why Huo Yuhao chose to reveal the Gate of the Undead today.
'Yes,' Huo Yuhao thought with a faint smile. 'Let them tremble at Mingde Hall's unfathomable depth of power.'
The commanders who had stood up slowly sat down again, their faces flickering with complicated emotions — including the Bear Monarch Commander.
"Then, shall we discuss how to arrange for Xue Tianji to personally witness his beloved
daughter?" Huo Yuhao asked casually.
"Y-yes..." Ju Zi replied, her mind still dazed.
She looked at the two lowered heads of Heavenly Soul Empire's most distinguished young women. From this moment onward, it was no longer Ju Zi who controlled the order of the command tent — it was Huo Yuhao.
Ju Zi could even faintly feel that the might of Mingde Hall behind Huo Yuhao had already begun to overshadow even Emperor Xu Tiannan's authority.
She dared not imagine what the future of the Sun Moon Empire would become.

Under Du Busi's protection, Xue Tianji arrived at the city gates. He stared across the distance at the two figures standing among the Sun Moon Empire soldiers, trembling as he called out.
"Brother Du... do you see it clearly?"
He stretched out a hand toward the figures he had yearned for day and night.
Du Busi sighed heavily.
"How could I not recognize them? Brother Xue... that is Na'er and Xue'er. But... their condition doesn't look good."
At that moment, a figure from the Sun Moon Empire's side stepped forward, said something to the soldiers holding the two girls, and then took them both into his own custody.
Under his lead, the three of them began walking toward Xue Tianji and Du Busi.
Du Busi's eyes filled with suspicion.
'What is this about?'
Xue Tianji held his breath.
'What are they planning? Are they really letting me see them up close?'
